# Gadawtu ma'a rijaalillah · غَدَوْتُ مَعَ رِجَالِ اللهِ

**1.** غَدَوْتُ مَعَ رِجَالِ اللهِ / أَرُوحُ مَعَ رِجَالِ اللهِ / أَسِيرُ مَعَ رِجَالِ اللهِ / إِلٰى الخَيْرَاتِ فِى اللهِ

_Gadawtu ma'a rijaalillah / Aruuhu ma'a rijaalillah / Asiiru ma'a rijaalillah / Illal khairaati fiillaahi_

I set out in the morning with the Men of Allah; I return in the evening with the Men of Allah. I walk with the Men of Allah, toward all that is good, for the sake of Allah.

**2.** عَلِيُّ سِيسِ مَمْدُوحِى / خَلِيفَةُ الشَّيْخِ فِى اللهِ / فَهَاكُمْ سِيسِ تَرْحِيبِي / رَجُلٌ مِنْ رِجَالِ اللهِ

_Aliyyu Cisse mamduuhii / Khalifatu sh-Shaikhi fillahi / Fahaakum Cisse tarhiibi / Rajulun min rijaalillah_

Ali Cisse is the one I praise, the successor of the Sheikh (Ibrahim Niass) in the path of Allah. Here is my welcome to Cisse, a man truly among the Men of Allah.

**3.** فَقُومُو أيُّهَا الإِخْوانُ / فِي تَعْظِيمِهِ لله / وَلِيُّ الله حَبِيبُ الله / عَظِيمُ الشَّأْنِ فِي اللهِ

_Fa quumuu ayyuhal ikhwaan / Fii ta'zwiimihi lillah / Waliyyullah habiibullah / 'Azwiimu sh-Sha'ni fillahi_

Rise up, O brothers, in veneration of him for the sake of Allah. A friend of Allah, a beloved of Allah, possessor of a great standing in the path of Allah.

**4.** ِصَبُورٌ عَارِفٌ بِالله / شَكُورٌ دَائِماً لله / كَثِيرُ الصُبْتِ وَالتَّفْكِي / رُ فِى أَقْوَالِهِ لله

_Swabuurun 'aarifum billah / Shakuurun daaiman lillah / Kathiiru sw-Swubti wa t-Tafkii / ru fii aqwaalihi lillah_

Patient and a Gnostic of Allah, always grateful to Allah. Often silent and deep in reflection in his words, for the sake of Allah.

**5.** فَصِيحُ الْقَوْلِ فِى الْوعْظِ / ِوَيَنْصَحُ دَائِمًا لله / يَقُولُ لَنَا عِبَادَ اللهِ / تَقْوَى اللهِ تَقْوَى اللهِ

_Faswiihul qawli fil wa'zwi / Wa yanswahu daaiman lillah / Yaquulu lanaa 'ibaadallah / Taqwallahi taqwallahi_

Eloquent in speech when preaching, always advising for the sake of Allah. He says to us: "O servants of Allah, have consciousness of Allah, have consciousness of Allah!"

**6.** كَرِيمُ الْخُلْقِ وَالتَّقْوَى / جَوَادُ الْكَفِّ فِى اللهِ / تَرَاهُ دَائِمًا يَتْلُو / كِتَابَ اللهِ للهِ

_Kariimul khulqi wa t-Taqwaa / Jawaadul kaffi fillahi / Taraahu daaiman yatluu / Kitaaballahi lillahi_

Noble in character and piety, generous of hand for the sake of Allah. You see him always reciting the Book of Allah, for the sake of Allah.

**7.** يَحُجُّ البَيْتَ تَكْرَاراً / يَزُورُ نَبِيَّنَا للهِ / وَقَائِلُ هَذِهِ الأَبْيَاتِ / أَسِيرُ الْحُبِّ فِي اللهِ

_Yahujjul bayta takraaraa / Yazuuru nabiyyanaa lillah / Wa qaailu haadhihil abyaati / Asiirul hubbi fillaahi_

He performs the Pilgrimage to the House repeatedly and visits our Prophet for the sake of Allah. And the sayer of these verses is a prisoner of love for the sake of Allah.

**8.** أحْمَدُ نَجْلُ شَعْبَانِ / ِخَدِيمُ زُرَا كُمُ لله / ِصَلَاةُ مَعَ السَّلَامِ الله / عَلٰى المُخْتَارِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

_Ahmadu najlu sha'baani / Khadiimu zuraakumu lillah / Swalaatu ma'a s-Salaamillah / 'Alal mukhtaari 'abdillah_

Ahmad, the son of Sha’ban, the servant of your visitors for the sake of Allah. May the prayers and peace of Allah be upon the Chosen One, the servant of Allah.

**9.** ِمَعَ الْآلِ مَعَ الأَصْحَاب / كَذَا أَحْبَابِهِ فِى اللهِ / كَذَالِكَ أَوْلِيَاءْ كُلاًّ / مَعَ الْاأَقْطَابِ فِي اللهِ

_Ma'al aali ma'al asw-haabi / Kadhaa ahbaabihi fillah / Kadhaalika awliyaa kullan / Ma'al aqtwaabi fillahi_

Along with the Family and the Companions, as well as his loved ones in the path of Allah. Likewise, upon all the Saints and the supreme spiritual Poles (Aqtab) in the path of Allah.

**10.** فَثَالِثُ مِنْ عَلِيَّيْنِ / عَلِيُّ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ / عَلِيُّ حَرَازِمِ الشَّيْخِ / خَلِيفَةُ الشَّيْخِ فِى اللهِ

_Fathaalithu min 'aliyyaini / 'Aliyyu li rasuulillah / 'Aliyyu haraazimi sh-Shaikhi / Khaliifatu sh-Shaiki fillahi_

He is the third of the three Alis: Ali (ibn Abi Talib) of the Messenger of Allah, Ali Harazim (the disciple) of the Sheikh (Ahmad Tijani), and the successor of our Sheikh (Ibrahim Niass) in the path of Allah.

**11.** عَلَيُّ الشَّيْخِ بَرْهَامُ / وَ ذَا فَضْلٌ مِنَ اللهِ / تَخْصِيصٌ مِنَ اللهِ / وَتَدْبِيرُ مِنَ اللهِ

_'Aliyyu sh-Shaikhi barhaamu / Wa dhaa fadwlun minallahi / Takhswiiswun minallahi / Wa tadbiiru minallahi_

The Ali of Sheikh Barham (Ibrahim Niass); and this is a grace from Allah. A special distinction from Allah, and a divine arrangement from Allah.
