**1.** يَمَمْتُ رَسُولَ اللّٰهِ طَـــهَ الْمُقَدَّسَـــا / عَنِ النِّدِّ وَالْأَضْدَادِ أَصْلاً مُؤَسَّسَا

_Yamamtu Rasūla Allāhi Ṭāha al-muqaddasā / ‘Ani al-niddi wa al-aḍdādi aṣlan mu’assasā_

I have turned toward the Messenger of Allah, Taha, the sanctified, whose origin was established far above any peer or opposite.

**2.** رَسُولٌ وَأَصْلُ النَّاسِ مَاءٌ وَجَنْدَلٌ / فَلاَ إِنْسَ فِي ذَاكَ الزَّمَانِ مُؤَنِّسَـــــا

_Rasūlun wa aṣlu al-nāsi mā’un wa jandalun / Fa-lā insa fī dhāka al-zamāni mu’annisā_

He was a Messenger even when the origin of mankind was but water and stone, and there was no human then to keep company.

**3.** تَطَوَّرَ فِي الْأَطْوَارِ فِي كُلِّ هَيْكَلٍ / وَحَتَّى بَدَا لِلنَّاسِ قَرْمًا مُقَدَّسَـــا

_Taṭawwura fī al-aṭwāri fī kulli haykalin / Wa ḥattā badā li-l-nāsi qarman muqaddasā_

He evolved through the various stages in every spiritual form until he appeared to mankind as a sanctified leader.

**4.** وَجَاءَ بِأَمْرِ اللّٰهِ يَدْعُو مُبَشِّـــرًا / نَذِيرًا شَكُورًا ذَاكِرًا وَمُقَدِّسَــا

_Wa jā’a bi-amri Allāhi yad‘ū mubashshirā / Nadhīran shakūran dhākiran wa muqaddisā_

He came by the command of Allah, calling as a bearer of glad tidings, a warner, a grateful one, a rememberer, and a sanctifier.

**5.** هَدَى اللّٰهُ أَقْوَامًا قَفَوْهُ أَجِلَّةً / وَضَلَّلَ قَوْمًا قَدْ قَلَوْهُ وَطَمَّسَا

_Hadā Allāhu aqwāman qafawhu ajillatan / Wa ḍallala qawman qad qalawhu wa ṭammisā_

Allah guided those illustrious people who followed him and led astray those who detested him and became blinded.

**6.** أَلاَ فَاذْكُرِ الصِّدِّيقَ ثَانِي حَبِيبِنَا / فَقَدْ أَنْفَقَ الْأَمْوَالَ عَمَّرَ أَنْفُسَا

_Alā fa-dhkur al-Ṣiddīqa thānī ḥabībinā / Fa-qad anfaqa al-amwāla ‘ammara anfusā_

Remember the Truthful One (Abu Bakr), the second of our two beloveds in the cave, for he spent his wealth and edified souls.

**7.** وَهَرْوِلْ إِلَى ذِكْرِ السِّرَاجِ مَلاَذِنَا / وَذَا عُمَرُ الْفَارُوقُ مَنْ لَمْ يُوَسْوِسَا

_Wa harwil ilā dhikri al-sirāji malādhinā / Wa dhā ‘Umaru al-Fārūqu man lam yuwaswīsā_

Hasten to the remembrance of the Lamp, our refuge—Umar the Faruq, the one who never wavered or succumbed to whispers.

**8.** وَثَلِّثْ بِذِي النُّورَيْنِ عُثْمَانَ مَادِحًا / فَقَدْ بَدَّدَ الْأَمْوَالَ فِـــي اللّٰهِ مُنْفِسَا

_Wa thallith bi-dhī al-nūrayni ‘Uthmāna mādiḥan / Fa-qad baddada al-amwāla fī Allāhi munfisā_

Mention thirdly the Possessor of the Two Lights, Uthman, in praise, for he spent his vast wealth for the sake of Allah most generously.

**9.** وَحِبِّي وَزِيرِ الْبَدْرِ بَابِ عُلُومِـــهِ / عَلِيٍّ أَبِي السِّبْطَيْنِ لَيْثًا مُقَلْنِسَــــــا

_Wa ḥibbī wazīri al-badri bāba ‘ulūmihi / ‘Aliyyin abī al-sibṭayni laythan muqalnisā_

And mention my beloved, the minister of the Full Moon and the gate to his sciences—Ali, the father of the two grandsons, a crowned lion.

**10.** بِجَاهِ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ وَالصَّحْبِ جُمْلَةً / فَنَفِّسْ كُرُوبِي نَفِّسِ الْكَرْبَ نَفِّسَا

_Bi-jāhi Rasūli Allāhi wa al-ṣaḥbi jumlatan / Fa-naffis kurūbī naffisi al-karba naffisā_

By the rank of the Messenger of Allah and all the companions together, relieve my anxieties, relieve my distress, relieve it now.

**11.** صَلاَةٌ وَتَسْلِيمٌ عَلَيْــــــهِ بِقَـــدْرِهِ / مَعَ الْآلِ وَالْأَصْحَابِ مِمَّنْ تَقَدَّسَا

_Ṣalātun wa taslīmun ‘alayhi bi-qadrihī / Ma‘a al-āli wa al-aṣḥābi mimman taqaddasā_

Prayers and salutations be upon him according to his immense worth, along with the family and the companions among those who were sanctified.
