# Harful Faai · حرف الفاء

**1.** فَأَهْلاً بِشَهْرٍ قَدْ أَتَى بِالْمُخَصَّصِ / مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ سِرِّ الْمُمَهَّـــــصِ

_Fa-ahlan bi-shahrin qad atā bi-al-mukhaṣṣaṣi / Muḥammadin ‘Abdu Allāhi sirru al-mumahḥaṣi_

Welcome to the month that brought the Specially Designated One, Muhammad the servant of Allah and the Secret of the Purifier.

**2.** لَقَدْ جَالَ قَبْلَ الْكَوْنِ فِي الْغَيْبِ وَحْدَهُ / بِعِزٍّ وَتَشْرِيفٍ وَسِرٍّ مُخَصَّـــــصِ

_Laqad jāla qabla al-kawni fi al-ghaybi waḥdahu / Bi-‘izzi wa tashrīfin wa sirrin mukhaṣṣaṣi_

He roamed alone within the Unseen before the existence of the universe, with might, honor, and a specific secret.

**3.** تَسَتَّرَ فِي الْأَلْبَاسِ فَالْكَوْنُ كُلُّهُ / مَظَاهِرُ أَلْبَاسٍ لِـهَـذَا الْمُخَصَّصِ

_Tasattara fi al-albāsi fa-al-kawnu kulluhu / Mazāhiru albāsin li-hādhā al-mukhaṣṣaṣi_

He veiled himself in various garments, for the entire universe is but the manifest appearances of the garments of this Specially Designated One.

**4.** تَطَوَّرَ فِي الْأَطْوَارِ إِذْ كَانَ وَحْدَهُ / تَنَكَّرَ عَنْ عَيْنِ الْبَصِيرِ الْمُفَحِّصِ

_Taṭawwara fi al-aṭwāri idh kāna waḥdahu / Tanakkara ‘an ‘ayni al-baṣīri al-mufaḥḥiṣi_

He evolved through the stages while he was alone, remaining hidden even from the eye of the scrutinizing observer.

**5.** فَأَهْلاً وَسَهْلاً مَرْحَبًــــــا ثُــــمَّ مَرْحَبًـــا / مَتَى جَاءَنَا الْمَخْصُوصُ سِرِّي وَمُخْلِصِي

_Fa-ahlan wa sahlan marḥaban thumma marḥaban / Matā jā’anā al-makhuṣuṣu sirrī wa mukhliṣī_

So welcome, and thrice welcome, whenever this Special One—my secret and my savior—comes to us.

**6.** أُهَنِّئُ نَفْسِي ثُمَّ يَوْمِــــي وَشَهْــــرَهُ / كَـــــــذَا بَلَدًا قَدْ مَسَّهُ خَيْرُ أَخْمَــــــصِ

_Uhanni’u nafsī thumma yawmi wa shahrahu / Kadhā baladan qad massahu khayru akhmaṣi_

I congratulate myself, my day, and his birth month, as well as the land touched by the best of footsteps.

**7.** وَفِهْرًا وَعَبْدَ اللّٰهِ ثُـــــــمَّ عَقِيلَـــــةً / أَتَتْ قَوْمَهَا بِالرُّوحِ عَيْنَ تَشَخُّـــصِ

_Wa fīhran wa ‘Abdu Allāhi thumma ‘Aqīlah / Atat qawmuhā bi-al-rūḥi ‘ayna tashakhkhuṣi_

And I congratulate Fihr (the tribe), Abdullah (the father), and the noble mother (Aminah) who brought the Spirit itself to her people in physical form.

**8.** صَلاَةٌ وَتَسْلِيـــــــمُ الْإِلَـــــهِ بِقَـــــدْرِهِ / عَلَى الْمُصْطَفَى وَالْآلِ بَلْ كُلِّ مُخْلِصِ

_Ṣalātun wa taslīmu al-Ilāhi bi-qadrihi / ‘Alā al-Muṣṭafā wa al-āli bal kulli mukhliṣi_

The prayer and peace of God be upon him according to his immense worth, and upon the family and every sincere follower.
