ضَمِنْتُ لِخَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ عَيْنَِ صَفَــــــــاءِ
صَفَاءَ وِدَادِي مَـــعْ جَمِيــــلِ ثَنَائِــــي

Ḍamaniytu li-khayri al-khalqi ‘ayna ṣafā’i
Ṣafā’a widādī ma‘a jamīli thanā’ī

I have guaranteed to the Best of Creation, the essence of purity, the purity of my affection along with my beautiful praise.

فَأُنْسِي وَرُوحِي إِنْ ذَكَرْتُ مُحَمَّدًا
أَبَا الْكَوْنِ بَحْرَ الْجُودِ عَيْنَ سَخَـاءِ

Fa-unsī wa rūḥī in dhakartu Muḥammadan
Abā al-kawni baḥru al-judi ‘ayna sakhā’i

My intimacy and my soul are found when I mention Muhammad, the Father of the Universe, the Ocean of Generosity, and the Essence of Munificence.

جَمِيلُ الْمُحَيَّا مَعْدِنُ الْخَيْرِ كَامِلٌ
جَلِيلٌ عَظِيمُ الْخُلْقِ رَبُّ لِــــوَاءِ

Jamīlu al-muḥayyā ma‘dinu al-khayri kāmilun
Jalīlun ‘aẓīmu al-khuluqi rabbul liwā’i

Beautiful of countenance, the mine of goodness, perfect, majestic, magnificent in character, and the possessor of the Banner.

رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ أَجْمَلُ النَّاسِ صُورَةً
وَأَكْمَلُهُمْ فِي شِــــــدَّةٍ وَرَخَــــاءِ

Rasūlun amīnun ajmalu al-nāsi ṣūratan
Wa akmaluhum fi shiddatin wa rakhā’i

A trustworthy Messenger, the most beautiful of people in form, and the most perfect of them in hardship and ease.

تَرَقَّى رُقِيًّا مُسْتَحِيلاً لِغَيْــــرِهِ
دَنَا فَتَدَلَّى نَـــالَ خَيْرَ حِبَــــاءِ

Taraqā ruqiyyan mustaḥīlan li-ghayrihi
Danā fatadallā nāla khayra ḥibā’i

He ascended an ascent that is impossible for anyone else; he drew near and came down, attaining the best of gifts.

رَأَى رَبَّهُ حَقًّا بِعَيْنٍ وَصُورَةٍ
وَكُلٌّ سِوَى هَــذَا وَرَاءَ وَرَاءِ

Ra’ā rabbahu ḥaqqan bi-‘aynin wa ṣūratin
Wa kullun siwā hādhā warā’a warā’i

He truly saw his Lord with eye and form, while everyone else besides this is far, far behind.

نَبِيٌّ أَتَانَـــا شَافِعًــــا ذَا سَكِينَــةٍ
رَحِيمًا عَظِيمًا ذَا هُدًى وَوَلاَءِ

Nabiyyun atānā shāfi‘an dhā sakīnah
Raḥīman ‘aẓīman dhā hudan wa walā’i

A Prophet who came to us as an intercessor possessing tranquility, merciful, magnificent, and a possessor of guidance and loyalty.

فَسَبْعٌ تَلَتْ سَبْعًا مَثَانِيَ جَهْرَةً
وَلِلَّهِ مَا أَغْلَى صِفَاتِ شِفَـــاءِ

Fa-sab‘u talat sab‘an mathāniyah jahratan
Wa lillāhi mā aghlā ṣifāti shifā’i

Seven followed by seven—the Oft-Repeated verses—proclaimed aloud; and by Allah, how precious are the attributes of healing.

فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ اللّٰهُ فِي كُلِّ طَرْفَــــةٍ
عَدِيدَ الْحَصَى وَالرَّمْلِ وَفْقَ مُنَاءِ

Fa-ṣallā ‘alayhi Allāhu fi kulli ṭarfah
‘Adīdu al-ḥaṣā wa al-ramli wa fqa munā’i

May Allah bless him in every blink of an eye, as numerous as the pebbles and the sand, in accordance with my desire.

وَيُعْطِيهِ مِنِّي كُلَّ وَقْتٍ بِشَارَةٍ
إِلَى أَبَدِ الْآبَـــادِ مَحْضَ عَطَاءِ

Wa yu‘ṭīhi minnī kullu waqtin bishāratin
Ilā abadi al-ābādi maḥḍa ‘aṭā’i

And may He grant him from me at every moment glad tidings, until the end of time, as a pure gift.

شِتَائِي وَصَيْفِي الدَّهْرَ سَرْدُ مَدِيحِهِ
وَلَسْتُ أَرَى التَّعْرِيسَ قَبْـــلَ لِقَـــاءِ

Shitā’ī wa ṣayfī al-dahri sard mudīḥihi
Wa lastu arā al-ta‘rīs qabla liqā’i

My winter and my summer are forever the recitation of his praise, and I do not seek rest until the meeting occurs.

بِهِ أَرْتَجِي قَلْبَ الْمَسَاوِي بِفَضْلِهِ
مَحَاسِنَ أَحْبَابٍ وَنَيْــلَ صَفَـــاءِ

Bihi artajī qalba al-masāwī bi-faḍlihi
Maḥāsina aḥbābin wa nayla ṣafā’i

Through him I hope for the transformation of my faults, by his grace, into the virtues of loved ones and the attainment of purity.

بِهِ أَرْتَجِي كَوْنِي خَدِيمَ جَنَابِـــــهِ
فَتَخْدُمُنِي أَهْلُ الْبَرَى وَسَمَــــاءِ

Bihi artajī kawni khadīma janābihi
Fa-takhdumunī ahlu al-barā wa samā’i

Through him I hope to be a servant of his presence, so that the people of the earth and the heavens may serve me.

وَكَوْنِي لَدَى الْمُخْتَارِ أَوْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِ
كَحَاضِرِ بَدْرٍ ثُمَّ بَيْــــــعِ رِضَـــاءِ

Wa kawnī ladā al-mukhtāri aw ‘inda rabbihi
Ka-ḥāḍiri badrin thumma bay‘i riḍā’i

And that I may be in the presence of the Chosen One or with his Lord like those who attended Badr and those of the Allegiance of Ridwan.

وَكَوْنِي لَدَى الْمُخْتَارِ مِثْلَ صِحَابِهِ
وَأَحْبَابِهِ أَوْ مِثْـــلَ أَهْــــلِ عَبَـــاءِ

Wa kawnī ladā al-mukhtāri mithla ṣaḥābihi
Wa aḥbābihi aw mithla ahli ‘abā’i

And that I may be in the presence of the Chosen One like his Companions and his loved ones, or like the People of the Cloak.

صَلاَةٌ وَتَسْلِيــــــــمُ الْإِلَــــهِ بِقَــــدْرِهِ
عَلَى الْمُصْطَفَى وَالصَّحْبِ أَهْلَ عَلاَءِ

Ṣalātun wa taslīmu al-Ilāhi bi-qadrihi
‘Alā al-Muṣṭafā wa al-ṣaḥbi ahli ‘alā’i

The prayer and peace of God be upon him according to his immense worth, and upon the Chosen One and the companions, the people of high station.
