**1.** رَفَعْتَ حِجَابَ الْبَيْنِ وَالْبَيْنُ لَنْ يُطْوَى / وَأَبْعَدْتَ إِذَا دَنَيْتَ لِلْحِبِّ مَنْ يَهْــوَى

_Rafa‘ta ḥijāba al-bayni wal-baynu lan yuṭwā / Wa ab‘adta idha danayta lil-ḥibbi man yahwā_

You lifted the veil of separation, yet separation is never truly folded away; and You distanced the lover even as You brought him close to the one he loves.

**2.** رُجُوعِي مِنَ الْمَوْلَى الْجَلِيلِ جَلاَلُهُ / إِلَيْهِ بِحُبِّ الْـهَاشِمِــيِّ وَلاَ غَرْوَا

_Rujū‘ī mina al-mawlā al-jalīli jalāluhu / Ilayhi bi-ḥubbi al-Hāshimiyyī wa lā gharwā_

My return from the Master—Majestic is His Majesty—back to Him is through the love of the Hashemite, and this is no wonder.

**3.** رَأَيْتُ وَقَـــــدْ مَــــدَّ الْمُهَيْمِـــنُ ظِلَّــــهُ / يُصَلِّي عَلَى عَبْدٍ عَلَى السِّرِّ وَالنَّجْــوَى

_Ra’aytu wa-qad maddal-muhayminu ẓillahu / Yuṣallī ‘alā ‘abdin ‘alā al-sirri wa al-najwā_

I saw, as the Protector extended His shadow, that He blesses a servant in both secret and private discourse.

**4.** رَسُـــولٌ أَتَانَا وَهْــوَ سِـــــرٌّ مُقَدَّسٌ / وَأَرْسَلَهُ الْمَوْلَى مِنَ الْغَايَةِ الْقُصْوَى

_Rasūlun atānā wa huwa sirrun muqaddasun / Wa arsalahu al-mawlā mina al-ghāyati al-quṣwā_

A Messenger who came to us as a sanctified secret, sent by the Master from the Utmost Goal.

**5.** رَقِيتُ ذُرَى الْعِرْفَانِ مِنْ سِــــــرِّ حُبِّــــهِ / وَرُضْتُ الصِّعَابَ الْمُعْضِلاَتِ وَلاَ دَعْوَى

_Raqītu dhurā al-‘irfāni min sirri ḥubbihi / Wa raḍitu al-ṣi‘āba al-mu‘ḍilāti wa lā da‘wā_

I ascended the peaks of gnosis through the secret of his love, and I tamed the most difficult complications without making any empty claim.

**6.** رَسُولٌ مَتَى أَشْدُو لِإِنْشَاءِ مَدْحِــــهِ / تَحُفُّ جَنَابِي الْمُكْرَمَاتُ كَمَا أَهْوَى

_Rasūlun matā ashdū li-inshā’i madḥihi / Taḥuffu janābī al-mukramātu kamā ahwā_

A Messenger for whom, whenever I sing in composition of his praise, noble honors surround me just as I desire.

**7.** رَفِيــــعُ أَيَــــا كَافِــــي الْعِبَـــادِ فَصَلِّيَـــنْ / عَلَيْهِ صَـــلاَةً لَـــنْ تُحَاطَ وَلَـــنْ تُحْــوَى

_Rafī‘u ayyā kāfī al-‘ibādi fa-ṣallīnan / ‘Alayhi ṣalātan lan tuḥāṭa wa lan tuḥwā_

O Exalted One, O Sufficer of the servants, send upon him a prayer that can neither be encompassed nor contained.

**8.** رَحِيمُ أَيَا مَنَّانُ مَنْ جَــــلَّ ذِكْـــــرُهُ / فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ وَارْفَعِ الضِّيقَ وَالشَّكْـوَى

_Raḥīmu ayyā mannān man jalla dhikruhu / Fa-ṣalli ‘alayhi warfa‘ al-ḍīqa wa al-shakwā_

O Merciful One, O Bestower whose mention is sublime, bless him and remove all constriction and grievance.

**9.** رَسُولٌ حَبِيــبٌ ذَاكِـــرٌ وَمُقَدَّسٌ / قُبَيْلَ وُجُودِ الْكَائِنَاتِ وَلاَ شَرْوَى

_Rasūlun ḥabībun dhākirun wa muqaddasun / Qubayla wujūdi al-kā’ināti wa lā sharwā_

A beloved Messenger, a rememberer, and sanctified long before the existence of beings, even by a tiny amount.

**10.** رَمَيْتَ وَرَبِّي مَا رَمَيْتَ وَإِنَّهَـــا / صِفَاتُ جَلاَلٍ لِلْجَلِيلِ فَلاَ مَأْوَى

_Ramayta wa rabbī mā ramayta wa innahā / Ṣifātu jalālin lil-jalīli falā ma’wā_

"You threw not when you threw," for by my Lord, those are attributes of Majesty belonging to the Majestic, so there is no other refuge.

**11.** رَقِيبُ أَيَا هَـــــادِي الْعِبَادِ فَصَلِّيَـــنْ / عَلَى الْمُصْطَفَى الْمَنْصُورِ مَنْ تُرْبُهُ الْمَثْوَى

_Raqību ayyā hādī al-‘ibādi fa-ṣallīnan / ‘Alā al-muṣṭafā al-manṣūri man turbuhu al-mathwā_

O Watchful One, O Guide of the servants, send blessings upon the Chosen One, the victorious, whose dust is the final resting place.

**12.** رَؤُوفُ أَيَا شَكُـــــورُ وَهَّـــــابُ صَلِّيَــنْ / عَلَى الْمُصْطَفَى الْمُخْتَارِ يَا مَنْ لَهُ الْمَأْوَى

_Ra’ūfu ayyā shakūru wa-hhābu ṣallīnan / ‘Alā al-muṣṭafā al-mukhtāri yā man lahu al-ma’wā_

O Compassionate One, O Grateful One, O Giver, send blessings upon the Chosen, the Elect, O You to whom the final refuge belongs.

**13.** صَلاَةٌ عَلَيْهِ مِثْـــلَ مَـــــا اللّٰهُ عَالِـــــــمٌ / وَآلٍ وَصَحْبٍ مَا الْمُحِبُّ لَـــــهُ يَهْــوَى

_Ṣalātun ‘alayhi mithla mā Allāhu ‘ālim / Wa ālin wa ṣaḥbin mā al-muḥibbu lahu yahwā_

A prayer be upon him as vast as the knowledge of Allah, and upon the family and companions, as long as a lover continues to love.
