**1.** شَمَخْتَ عَنِ الْأَكْوَانِ يَا خَيْرَ مُنْقِذِي / وَفُقْتُ بِمَـــدْحٍ فَائِــــقٍ لِزُمُــــرُّدِ

_Shamakhta ‘ani al-akwān yā khayra munqiḏī / Wa fuqtu bi-madḥin fā’iqin li-zumurrudi_

You have risen above the universes, O my best rescuer, and I have surpassed others with praise more precious than emeralds.

**2.** رَسُولٌ مِنَ الذَّاتِ الْمُقَـدَّسِ سِرُّهَا / قُبَيْلَ وُجُودِ السِّرِّ أُنْسِي وَجِهْبِذِي

_Rasūlun mina al-dhāti al-muqaddas sirruhā / Qubayla wujūdi al-sirri unsī wa jihbidhī_

A Messenger from the Essence whose secret is sanctified, long before the existence of any secret, you were my intimacy and my brilliant guide.

**3.** نَبَذْتُ وَرَبِّ الْبَيْتِ حُبَّ سِوَائِـــــهِ / أَلاَ يَا حَبِيبَ الذَّاتِ سُوئِي أَلاَ انْبِــذِ

_Nabaḏtu wa rabbi al-bayti ḥubba siwā’ihī / Alā yā ḥabība al-dhāti su’ī alā anbidhī_

I have cast away, by the Lord of the House, the love of any besides him; O beloved of the Essence, cast away my evil from me.

**4.** فَإِنِّي لَعَمْرِي مَا بَقِيــــتُ مُتَيَّــــمٌ / بِحُبِّ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ كَهْفِي وَمُنْقِذِي

_Fa-innī la‘amrī mā baqītu mutayyaṁun / Bi-ḥubbi Rasūli Allāhi kahfī wa munqiḏī_

For by my life, as long as I remain, I am enslaved by the love of the Messenger of Allah, my cave and my rescuer.

**5.** وَشُغْلِي مَدَى الْأَيَّامِ مَدْحُ جَنَابِهِ / أَلاَ يَا مَلاَذَ الْخَلْقِ جُدْ لِي وَأَنْفِذِ

_Wa shughlī madā al-ayāmi madḥu janābihī / Alā yā malādha al-khalqi jud lī wa anfiḏhī_

My occupation throughout the days is the praise of his presence; O refuge of creation, be generous to me and carry me through.

**6.** وَقُدْنِي إِلَى الْمَحْبُوبِ جُدْلِيَ بِالْمُنَى / وَصِلْنِي فَإِنِّي لِلصِّـــلاَتِ لَكَالَّـــذِي

_Wa qudnī ilā al-maḥbūbi judliyā bi-l-munā / Wa ṣilnī fa-innī li-l-ṣilāti lakālladhī_

Lead me to the Beloved, grant me my desires, and connect me, for I am one who seeks such connection.

**7.** أَتَيْتُ وَإِنَّ الْكُثْرَ قِــــلٌّ بِقِلَّتِــــــي / تَقَبَّلْ بِفَضْلٍ مِنْكَ خَيْــــــرَ مُنَفِّـــذِ

_Ataytu wa inna al-kuthra qillun bi-qillatī / Taqabbal bi-faḍlin minka khayra munaffiḏi_

I have come, and even abundance seems little because of my own insignificance; accept with Your grace the best of those who carry this out.

**8.** فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ اللّٰهُ مِقْدَارَ قَـــــــدْرِهِ / وَآلٍ وَأَصْحَابٍ عَلَوْا كُلَّ جِهْبِـذِ

_Fa-ṣallā ‘alayhi Allāhu miqdāra qadrīhī / Wa ālin wa aṣḥābin ‘alaw kulla jihbidhī_

May Allah bless him according to the measure of his worth, and the family and companions who surpassed every brilliant master.
