**1.** يَؤُمُّ جَنَابَ الْهَـاشِمِــــــيِّ الْمُقَـــــدَّسِ / سَلاَمِيَ يُزْرِي كُلَّ مِسْكٍ وَنَرْجِـــسِ

_Ya’ummu janāba al-Hāshimiyyi al-muqaddasi / Salāmī yuzrī kulla miskin wa-narjisi_

Toward the sanctified presence of the Hashimite, my greetings travel, shaming all musk and narcissus.

**2.** أَرَانِيَ قَدْ أَطْلَقْتُ طَرْفِيَ ذَا هَــــــوًى / فَسُمْتُ بِمَا تَعْيَ بِــــهِ كُلُّ عِرْمِــــسِ

_Arāniya qad aṭlaqtu ṭarfī dha hawan / Fa-sumtu bimā ta‘yā bihi kullu ‘irmisi_

I see myself having released my gaze in passion, venturing into that which would exhaust the strongest of camels.

**3.** يَلُومُونَنِي فَازْدَدْتُ شَوْقًا وَمَغْرَمًـــا / لِجَنْبِ الْـهُـمَامِ الْأَرْيَحِــيِّ الْمُقَـــدَّسِ

_Yalūmūnanī fazdadtu shawqan wa-maghraman / Li-janbi al-humāmi al-aryāḥiyyi al-muqaddasi_

They blame me, but I only increase in longing and infatuation for the side of the sanctified, noble leader.

**4.** ذَهَبْتُ لَعَمْرُ اللّٰهِ فِي كُـــلِّ مَذْهَـــبٍ / لِدَرْكِ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ غَيْــــرَ مُؤَيَّـــسِ

_Dhahabtu la-‘amru Allāhi fī kulli madhhabin / Li-darki Rasūli Allāhi ghayra mu’ayyasi_

By Allah, I have traveled every path to reach the Messenger of Allah, without ever losing hope.

**5.** لَهُ عَينُ آلاَفٍ مِنَ الْحُجْبِ شَاهِـدًا / تَحَيَّرَ فِيهِ خَاطِـــــرُ الْمُتَحَسِّـــسِ

_Lahu ‘aynu ālāfin mina al-ḥujbi shāhidan / Taḥayyara fīhi khāṭiru al-mutaḥassisi_

He possesses an eye that witnesses through thousands of veils, leaving the keenest seeker in bewilderment.

**6.** هُوَ الْعَيْنُ عَيْنُ الْـهَاءِ وَالْـهَاءُ عَيْنُهُ / لَهُ الْكَعْبَةُ الْعَلْيَا لَهُ بَيْتُ مَقْـــــدِسِ

_Huwa al-‘aynu ‘aynu al-Hā’i wal-Hā’u ‘aynuhu / Lahu al-Ka‘batu al-‘alyā lahu Baytu Maqdisi_

He is the essence (Ayn), the essence of the "Hā", and the "Hā" is his very essence; to him belongs the lofty Kaaba and the Sanctified House (Jerusalem).

**7.** لَهُ طَيْبَةُ الطِّيبَى وَدَارُ مُقَامَــــــةٍ / لَهُ الْخُلْدُ وَالْفِرْدَوْسُ خَيْـرُ مُعَرَّسِ

_Lahu Ṭaybatu al-ṭībā wa-dāru muqāmatin / Lahu al-khuldu wal-firdawsu khayru mu‘arrasi_

To him belongs the fragrant Tayba (Medina) and the Abode of Permanence; to him belongs Eternity and Firdaws, the best resting place.

**8.** وَدَارُ سَلاَمٍ بَعْدَ عَدْنٍ وَأُزْلِفَــتْ / وَتَلْمَسُ مُدَّاحًا لَهُ كُلَّ مَلْمَـــــسِ

_Wa-dāru salāmin ba‘da ‘Adnin wa-uzlifat / Wa-talmasu muddāḥan lahu kulla malmasi_

The Abode of Peace following the Gardens of Eden has been brought near, and it touches his praisers with every gentle touch.

**9.** وَمَأْوًى وَجَنَّاتُ النَّعِيمِ تَزَيَّنَتْ / لِخَادِمِهِ تَزْهُو عَلَى كُلِّ مَلْبَــسِ

_Wa-ma’wan wa-jannātu al-na‘īmi tazayyanat / Li-khādimihi tazhū ‘alā kulli malbasi_

The Refuge and the Gardens of Delight have been adorned for his servant, boasting over every fine garment.

**10.** وَلَمْ يَبْغِ غَيْرَ الْمُصْطَفَى وَحَبِيبِهِ / وَلَمْ يَرْضَ بِالْفِرْدَوْسِ دُونَ تَقَدُّسِ

_Wa-lam yabghi ghayra al-Muṣṭafā wa-ḥabībihi / Wa-lam yarḍa bil-firdawsi dūna taqaddusi_

The servant seeks nothing but the Chosen One and his beloved, and is not satisfied with Firdaws without divine sanctity.

**11.** لَهُ مِنِّيَ الْيَوْمَانِ يَـــــــوْمٌ بَقِيتُــــهُ / وَيَوْمٌ أُوَافِي فِيهِ غَيْرَ مُكَــــرْدَسِ

_Lahu minniya al-yawmāni yawmun baqītuhu / Wa-yawmun uwāfī fīhi ghayra mukardasi_

To him I dedicate my two days: the day that remains of my life, and the day I meet my Lord without being crowded out.

**12.** وَحَلَّ سَوَادَ الْقَلْبِ أَحْمَـــدُ لاَ أَنَــا / بِبَاغٍ سِـــــــوَاهُ لاَ وَلاَ مُتَجَسِّـــسِ

_Wa-ḥalla sawāda al-qalbi Aḥmadu lā ana / Bi-bāghin siwāhu lā wa-lā mutajassisi_

Ahmad has occupied the core of my heart; I seek no one else, nor do I look toward any other.

**13.** لَهُ الْيَوْمُ مِنِّي مِثْلَمَا الْأَمْسِ قَبْلَــهُ / كَذَاكَ الْغَدُ الْآتِي لِحِبِّي الْمُؤَنِّسِ

_Lahu al-yawmu minnī mithlamā al-amsi qablahu / Kadhalika al-ghadu al-ātī li-ḥibbī al-mu’annisi_

He has my devotion today just as he had yesterday, and so shall he have the coming tomorrow—my comforting beloved.

**14.** تَتَرَّسْتُ بِالْبَــــدْرِ الْمُنِيــــرِ فَإِنَّـــهُ / سِنَانِي وَصَمْصَامِي بِلَيْلِ الْعَرَنْدَسِ

_Tatarrastu bil-badri al-munīri fa-innahu / Sinānī wa-ṣamṣāmī bi-layli al-‘arandasi_

I have shielded myself with the shining full moon, for he is my spear and my sharp sword in the darkest night.

**15.** أُفَوِّضُ أَمْرِي لِلْإِلَـــهِ مُؤَسِّسًـــــــــا / شُؤُونِي بِخَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ خَيْرِ مُؤَسِّسِ

_Ufawwiḍu amrī lil-ilāhi mu’assisan / Shu’ūnī bi-khayri al-khalqi khayri mu’assisi_

I entrust my affairs to God, establishing my matters through the best of creation, the best of founders.

**16.** فَلاَ تُشْمِتَنْ بِي كُلَّ قِتْلٍ وَلاَ أَرَى / تَغَلُّبَ جَبَّـــــارٍ وَلاَ مُتَحَسِّـــــسِ

_Fa-lā tushmitan bī kulla qitlin wa-lā arā / Taghalluba jabbārin wa-lā mutaḥassisi_

So let not any enemy gloat over me, and let me not see the triumph of an oppressor or a spy.

**17.** لِتَرْحَمْ غَرِيبًا عَيْنُهُ وَلِسَانُـــــهُ / وَأَذْوَاقُهُ يَا خَيْرَ غَوْثٍ وَمُنْفِــسِ

_Li-tarḥam gharīban ‘aynuhu wa-lisānuhu / Wa-adhwāquhu yā khayra ghawthin wa-munfisi_

Have mercy on a stranger whose eyes, tongue, and spiritual tastes all cry out, O best of helpers and relievers.

**18.** رَجَوْتُ لِأَنِّي لاَئِـــــذٌ بِجَنَابِـــهِ / وَخِفْتُ لِأَعْمَالِي أَمَوْلاَيَ قَدِّسِ

_Rajawtu li-annī lā’idhun bi-janābihi / Wa-khiftu li-a‘mālī a-mawlāya qaddisi_

I have hope because I am seeking refuge in his presence, and I have fear because of my deeds—O my Lord, sanctify me!

**19.** وَإِنِّـيَ مِقْدَامٌ عَلَى كُـلِّ مُشْتَهًـــى / وَوَانٍ عَنِ الطَّاعَاتِ أَفْقَرُ مُفْلِسِ

_Wa-inniya miqdāmun ‘alā kulli mushtahan / Wa-wānin ‘ani al-ṭā‘āti afqaru muflisi_

Indeed, I am bold toward every desire, yet slow in acts of obedience, the poorest of the bankrupt.

**20.** وَلَيْسَ سِوَى أَنِّي اضْطُرِرْتُ بِفَضْلِهِ / مُعَدًّا لِـهَــذَا فَاجْبُرِ الْكَسْرَ وَاعْكِــــسِ

_Wa-laysa siwā annī iḍṭurirtu bi-faḍlihi / Mu‘addan li-hādhā fajburi al-kasra wa-‘aksi_

It is only that I am driven by necessity to his grace; I am prepared for this, so mend my brokenness and turn my state around.

**21.** وَلاَ تُجْزِنِي يَا رَبِّ فِعْلِـــــيَ سَيِّئًـــا / وَلاَ حَسَنًا بَلْ بِالْجَمَـــــالِ الْمُقَـــدَّسِ

_Wa-lā tujzinī yā rabbi fi‘liya sayyi’an / Wa-lā ḥasanan bal bil-jamāli al-muqaddasi_

O Lord, do not recompense me based on my evil deeds, nor even my good ones, but rather by the Sanctified Beauty.

**22.** أَيَا اللّٰهُ يَــــــا رَبَّ الْبَرِيَّــــةِ صَلِّيَـــنْ / عَلَى سَيِّدِ الْأَكْوَانِ وَارْحَــمْ تَنَفُّسِـــي

_Ayā Allāhu yā rabba al-bariyyati ṣalliyan / ‘Alā sayyidi al-akwāni war-ḥam tanaffusī_

O Allah, O Lord of creation, send blessings upon the Master of the Universes and have mercy on my every breath.

**23.** مُحَمَّـــدِنَـــا وَالْفَاتِـــــــحِ الْمُتَحَقِّـــــقِ / الْعَلِيِّ لِمَــــــا أَغْلَقْتَـــــهُ الْمُتَلَمِّـــــسِ

_Muḥammadinā wal-fātiḥi al-mutaḥaqqiqi / Al-‘aliyyi limā aghlaqtahu al-mutalammisi_

Our Muhammad, the Opener of realities, the Sublime seeker of what You have locked.

**24.** وَهُو خَاتِمٌ رُسْلاً أَتَـــــوْا سَبَقُوا لَــــهُ / وَنَاصِرُ ذَاكَ الْحَقِّ بِالْحَقِّ مَقْبِسِــــي

_Wa-huwa khātimun ruslan ataw sabaqū lahu / Wa-nāṣiru dhāka al-ḥaqqi bil-ḥaqqi maqbisi_

He is the Seal of the Messengers who came before him, and the helper of that Truth by the Truth—my source of light.

**25.** وَهَادٍ إِلَى خَيْرِ الصِّرَاطِ صِرَاطِكَ / الْجَلِي الْمُسْتَقِيمِ النَّهْجِ غَيْرَ مُدَلَّـــسِ

_Wa-hādin ilā khayri al-ṣirāṭi ṣirāṭika / Al-jalī al-mustaqīmi al-nahji ghayra mudallasi_

The guide to the best of paths, Your path—clear, straight, and free from any deception.

**26.** مَعَ الْآلِ حَقَّ الْقَدْرِ قَـــــــدْرِ نَبِيِّنَـــا / وَمِقْدَارِهِ الْعَالِي الْعَظِيمِ التَّأَسُّــــسِ

_Ma‘a al-āli ḥaqqa al-qadri qadri nabiyyinā / Wa-miqdārihi al-‘ālī al-‘aẓīmi al-ta’assusi_

Along with his family, in accordance with the true worth of our Prophet, and his lofty, magnificent station.
