Harfud Daad ·

From Ad-Dawaawiinu s-Sitta · الدواوين الست by Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass

Gharāmī wa-shawqī lin-nabiyyi alladhī mahaḍ
Naṣīḥatahu wal-ḥubbu fī dhātihi faraḍ

My infatuation and longing are for the Prophet who gave sincere counsel, and whose love is an obligation upon the soul.

Ḥabībī ḥabību Allāhi Ṭāhā Muḥammadun
Wa-dhāka dawā’u al-qalbi in ḍāqa aw mariḍ

My beloved is the Beloved of Allah, Taha Muhammad; he is the medicine for the heart if it becomes constricted or ill.

Maḥabbatuhu qūtu al-qulūbi wa-rāḥatun
Mina al-hammi wal-aḥzāni wal-ḥubbu muftaraḍ

His love is the nourishment of hearts and a relief from anxiety and sorrows, and this love is a mandatory duty.

Alā yā Rasūla Allāhi wajjahtu wijhatī
Ilayka fa-kun lī ad-dahra in ‘āriḍun ‘araḍ

O Messenger of Allah, I have turned my face toward you, so be there for me always if any obstacle should arise.

Fa-lā ‘uddatun fin-nā’ibāti siwākumu
Li-dhā al-‘abdi wal-maṭlūbu dhātuka wal-gharaḍ

There is no preparation for calamities other than you for this servant, and the ultimate goal and purpose is your very essence.

Fa-mā liya illā Aḥmadun wa-ṣiḥābuhu
Wa-dhālika kanzun lā yazūlu wa-yanqariḍ

I have nothing but Ahmad and his companions, and that is a treasure that neither vanishes nor becomes extinct.

Abū Bakrin al-‘ālī al-imāmu wa-sayyidī
Abū Ḥafṣin al-Fārūqu lid-dīni qad nahaḍ

Abu Bakr the exalted, the Imam; and my master Abu Hafs (Umar) the Faruq, who stood up for the religion.

Wa-‘Uthmānu dhū an-nūrayni wal-laythu sayyidī
Abū Ḥasanin man ḥubbuhu ad-dahra yuftaraḍ

And Uthman, the Possessor of the Two Lights; and the Lion, my master Abu Hasan (Ali), whose love is an eternal obligation.

‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Bihā a‘talī fawqa al-ḥajīji wa-man ‘araḍ

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, through which I rise above the throngs of pilgrims and all who appear.

‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Bihā danasī min ḥubbi Aḥmada qad ruḥiḍ

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, through which my impurities are washed away by the love of Ahmad.

‘Alayhi ma‘a al-āli al-kirāmi wa-ṣaḥbihi
Wa-man amsakū dīna an-nabiyyi wa-man qabaḍ

Upon him, along with the noble family and his companions, and all those who held fast to and maintained the Prophet's religion.
