Harful Ghayn ·
From Ad-Dawaawiinu s-Sitta · الدواوين الست by Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass
Khalīliya ʿarris ʿinda qahwati Rābighi
tabītu turāʿī al-najma min kulli bāzighi
My friend, alight and rest at the station of Rabigh, spending the night watching every rising star.
Wa-sir yawmahu fa-in tabin laka qubbatun
duwayna al-samā tuzrī bi-nūri al-bawāzighi
Travel through the day, for if there appears to you a dome beneath the sky that outshines all celestial lights,
Tuṣalli ʿalā khayri al-anāmi Muḥammadin
fa-yulqā ʿalayka al-ḥaqqu min kulli dāmighi
Then send blessings upon the best of mankind, Muhammad, so that the Truth may shield you from every crushing blow.
Li-tanzil ʿani al-akwāri wa-mshi takarruman
wa-mar righ khudaydan fī al-rubūʿi wa-bālighi
Dismount from your saddle and walk out of reverence, and press your cheek into those dwellings with all your might.
Wa-ʿarrij ʿalā bīray Arīsin wa-Rūmatin
fa-tashfī ghalīla al-nafsi min kulli sā’ighi
Turn aside toward the wells of Aris and Rumah to quench the soul's thirst with every sweet and pleasant draught.
Wa-shim ṣakhratan malsā’a fī janbi Ḥamzatin
fa-tukṣā idhā mā ji’tahā kulla sābighi
Gaze upon the smooth rock near Hamzah, for if you reach it, you shall be clothed in every ample blessing.
Tarā ḥarama al-Hādī al-Amīni wa-nūruhu
yurīka riyāḍa al-khuldi fī ʿayni fārighi
You shall see the sanctuary of the Trustworthy Guide, whose light reveals the gardens of eternity to the observant eye.
Tarā marqada al-Māḥī al-ḍalāla wa-ḥawlahu
wazīrāhu min taḥti al-durūʿi al-sawābighi
You shall see the resting place of the One who erased misguidance, flanked by his two ministers beneath protective armor.
ʿAlayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
bihā aḥtamī min kulli bāghin wa-māḍighi
Upon him be the prayers of Allah and His peace, through which I seek refuge from every oppressor and slanderer.
Maʿa al-āli wa-l-aṣḥābi mā qāla shayyiqun
Khalīliya ʿarris ʿinda qahwati Rābighi
And upon his Family and Companions as long as a longing one says: "My friend, alight and rest at the station of Rabigh."
