**1.** طَوَيْتُ وَسَهَّلْتُ الطَّرِيقَ إِلَى الْحَقِّ / لِكُلِّ مُرِيدِ الْوَصْلِ لِلْحَــــقِّ بِالْحَــقِّ

_Ṭawaytu wa-sahhaltu al-ṭarīqa ilā al-ḥaqqi / li-kulli murīdi al-waṣli lil-ḥaqqi bi-l-ḥaqqi_

I have folded up and made easy the path to the Truth for every seeker of union who desires the Truth through the Truth.

**2.** طَوَيْتُ عِبَـــــــادَاتِ الْعَوَالِــمِ كُلِّهَــا / بِحُبِّ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ أَحْمَــــدَ ذِي الْخُلْـقِ

_Ṭawaytu ʿibādāti al-ʿawālimi kullihā / bi-ḥubbi Rasūli Allāhi Aḥmada dhī al-khulqi_

I have folded up the ritual worship of all the worlds through the love of the Messenger of Allah, Ahmad, the possessor of noble character.

**3.** طَوَيْتُ عُلُــــومَ الْعَارِفِيـــنَ بِأَسْرِهَـــا / بِشَمِّيَ رَيَّا الْمُصْطَفَى صَاحِبِ الصِّدْقِ

_Ṭawaytu ʿulūma al-ʿārifīna bi-asrihā / bi-shammiya rayyā al-Muṣṭafā ṣāḥibi al-ṣidqi_

I have folded up all the sciences of the Gnostics by inhaling the fragrance of the Chosen One, the master of sincerity.

**4.** طَوَيْتُ مَدِيحَ الْمَادِحِيـــنَ جَمِيعِهِــمْ / بِعَيْنٍ لِهَاءِ رُوحِ ذِي الْأَمْرِ وَالْخَلْقِ

_Ṭawaytu madīḥa al-mādiḥīna jamīʿihim / bi-ʿaynin li-hā’i rūḥi dhī al-amri wa-l-khalqi_

I have folded up the praises of all praisers by looking into the essence of the soul of the Master of Command and Creation.

**5.** أَلاَ فَسْقِنِــي جَهْــرًا مُــدَامَ مَحَبَّـــةِ / الْأَمِينِ الَّذِي يَمْضِي بِعَقْلِي فَلَمْ يُبْقِ

_Alā fa-sqinī jahran mudāma maḥabbati / al-Amīni alladhī yamḍī bi-ʿaqlī falam yubqi_

Oh, give me to drink openly the wine of the love of the Trustworthy One, who has carried away my intellect and left nothing of it.

**6.** رَسُــــولٌ أَمِيــنٌ أَكْــــرَمُ الْخَلْـــقِ كُلِّـــهِ / لَدَى حَضْرَةِ الرَّحْمَانِ ذِي الرَّتْقِ وَالْفَتْقِ

_Rasūlun Amīnun akramu al-khalqi kullihi / ladā ḥaḍrati al-Raḥmāni dhī al-ratqi wa-l-fatqi_

A Trustworthy Messenger, the most noble of all creation in the presence of the Most Merciful, the Lord of joining and cleaving.

**7.** جَلِيـــــلٌ جَمِيــــــــلٌ كَامِــــلٌ وَمُبَشِّـــرٌ / نَذِيرٌ مُطَاعٌ عِنْــدَ ذِي الْهَـــدْيِ وَالْوَفْـــقِ

_Jalīlun jamīlun kāmilun wa-mubashshirun / nadhīrun muṭāʿun ʿinda dhī al-hadyi wa-l-wafqi_

Majestic, beautiful, perfect, a bearer of glad tidings, a warner, and obeyed by the One who grants guidance and success.

**8.** إِمَــــامٌ لِرُسْلِ اللّٰهِ وَهْــــوَ مُمِدُّهُـــمْ / فَقَدْ فَاقَ مَنْ قَدْ جَاءَ بِالْحَقِّ لِلْخَلْــقِ

_Imāmun li-rusli Allāhi wahwa mumidduhum / faqad fāqa man qad jā’a bi-l-ḥaqqi lil-khalqi_

The Imam of the Messengers of Allah and their sustainer, for he has surpassed all who brought the Truth to mankind.

**9.** لَعَمْرِي وَمَا عَمْرِي عَلَــيَّ بِهَيِّــــنٍ / لَنِعْمَ الْمُقَفَّى هَادِيًا وَعَلِـــي الْخُلْـقِ

_La-ʿamrī wa-mā ʿamrī ʿalayya bi-hayyinin / la-niʿma al-muqaffā hādiyan wa-ʿaliyyi al-khulqi_

By my life—and my life is not a small thing to me—what an excellent guide he is, followed and lofty in character.

**10.** دَعَانِي وَأَبْلاَنِــــي مُحَيَّـــاهُ كُلَّمَــا / تَبَدَّى سَبَانِي نَحْوَهُ الرِّبْقُ بِالــرِّقِّ

_Daʿānī wa-ablānī muḥayyāhu kullamā / tabaddā sabānī naḥwahu al-ribqu bi-l-riqqi_

His countenance called me and consumed me; whenever it appears, the bond of devotion enslaves me toward him.

**11.** فَمَا كَجَبِينِ الْـهَاشِمِـــــيِّ مُحَمَّـــدٍ / وَمَا كَمُحَيَّاهُ مِنَ الْحُسْنِ وَالرِّفْــقِ

_Famā ka-jabīni al-Hāshimiyyi Muḥammadin / wa-mā ka-muḥayyāhu min al-ḥusni wa-l-rifqi_

For there is nothing like the forehead of the Hashemite Muhammad, and nothing like his face in beauty and kindness.

**12.** يُنَسِّيكَ عَنْ جَيْـــــدَاءَ لَمْيَـــاءَ سَاجِيـــاً / لَهَا الطَّرْفُ كَالْبُرْغُوزِ وَالثَّغْرُ كَالْبَرْقِ

_Yunassīka ʿan jaydā’a lamyā’a sā jiyan / lahā al-ṭarfu ka-l-burghūzi wa-l-thaghru ka-l-barqi_

He makes you forget the slender, dark-lipped maiden whose eyes are like a gazelle's and whose smile is like lightning.

**13.** فَلِــي كُـلَّ وَقْــتٍ زَفْـــرَةٌ بَعْـــدَ زَفْـــرَةٍ / فَبُرْهَانُ هَذَا الصَّدْرِ كَالشَّمْسِ فِي الْأُفْقِ

_Falī kulla waqtin zafratun baʿda zafratin / fa-burhānu hādhā al-ṣadri ka-l-shamsi fī al-ufqi_

In every moment I heave sigh after sigh, for the proof within this chest is as clear as the sun upon the horizon.

**14.** طَوِيلُ الْبُكَا بَادِي الضَّنَى مُضْرَمُ الْحَشَا / فَيُنْسِيكَ مَا بِي حَالَةَ السَّحْـــقِ وَالْمَحْــقِ

_Ṭawīlu al-bukā bādī al-ḍanā muḍramu al-ḥashā / fa-yunassīka mā bī ḥālata al-saḥqi wa-l-maḥqi_

Long in weeping, showing signs of exhaustion, with an ignited heart, his state makes you forget my own state of crushing and annihilation.

**15.** بَكَيْتُ فَأَفْنَيْتُ الدُّمُــوعَ فَمَـــا الْبُكَـــا / سِوَى حَالَةٍ لِلْقَلْبِ مِنْ حُرْقَةِ الشَّوْقِ

_Bakaytu fa-afnaytu al-dumūʿa famā al-bukā / siwā ḥālatin lil-qalbi min ḥurqati al-shawqi_

I wept until I exhausted my tears, for weeping is but a state of the heart born from the burning heat of longing.

**16.** أَلاَ جَالِسِ الْمُخْتَارَ بِالْحُبِّ مُعْرِضًا / عَنِ الْغَيْرِ تَأْتِ لِلْمَطَالِبِ مِنْ فَـوْقِ

_Alā jālisi al-Mukhtāra bi-l-ḥubbi muʿriḍan / ʿan al-ghayri ta’ti lil-maṭālibi min fawqi_

So sit with the Chosen One in love, turning away from all others, and your needs will be met from on high.

**17.** فَتَعْلَــمُ أَنْ مَـــا كُـــلُّ بَيْضَــاءَ شَحْمَـــةً / وَصَهْبَاءَ خَمْرًا عِنْدَ ذِي الْمَيزِ وَالْفَرْقِ

_Fa-taʿlamu an mā kullu bayḍā’a shaḥmatan / wa-ṣahbā’a khamran ʿinda dhī al-mayzi wa-l-farqi_

Then you shall know that not everything white is fat, nor is every red liquid wine, to the one who possesses discernment and distinction.

**18.** أُسَائِلُ رَبِّـي سَائِـــلاً بِجَلاَلِـــهِ اقْــ / ــتِفَاءَ مَلاَذِي حَالَةَ الْجَمْعِ وَالْفَرْقِ

_Usā’ilu Rabbī sā’ilan bi-jalālihi q- / -tifā’a malādhī ḥālata al-jamʿi wa-l-farqi_

I ask my Lord, pleading by His Majesty, to allow me to follow my Refuge in the states of spiritual union and separation.

**19.** وَيُسْلِكُنِــي وَالْمُنْتَمِيـــنَ لِحِزْبِنَـــا / مَسَالِكَ تُنْجِينَا مِنَ الْجَهْلِ وَالْفِسْقِ

_Wa-yuslikunī wa-l-muntamīna li-ḥizbinā / masālika tunjīnā min al-jahli wa-l-fisqi_

May He lead me and those belonging to our group along paths that save us from ignorance and transgression.

**20.** وَبَدَّلَ فِينَــا كُــلَّ سُـــوءٍ مَحَاسِنـــاً / بِجَاهِ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ ذِي اللُّطْفِ وَالرِّفْقِ

_Wa-baddala fīnā kulla sū’in maḥāsinan / bi-jāhi Rasūli Allāhi dhī al-luṭfi wa-l-rifqi_

And may He change all our evil deeds into virtues by the rank of the Messenger of Allah, the possessor of gentleness and kindness.

**21.** وَيُتْحِفُنَا فَـوْقَ الْمُنَى الدَّهْرَ بَاسِطـاً / لَنَا كُلَّ فَيْضٍ مِنْ عُلُومٍ وَمِنْ رِزْقِ

_Wa-yutḥifunā fawqa al-munā al-dahra bāsiṭan / lanā kulla fayḍin min ʿulūmin wa-min rizqi_

May He gift us beyond our hopes for all time, spreading for us every overflow of knowledge and provision.

**22.** وَيَرْزُقُنَا سَتْرًا وَرُشْدًا وَرَحْمَــةً / وَمَغْفِرَةً مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ وَمِنْ خُلْقِ

_Wa-yarzuqunā satran wa-rushdan wa-raḥmatan / wa-maghfiratan min kulli dhanbin wa-min khulqi_

May He grant us protection, right guidance, mercy, and forgiveness for every sin and every character flaw.

**23.** صَلاَةٌ وَتَسْلِيمٌ عَلَى خَيْرِ هَاشِـــمٍ / تُسَاوِي صَلاَةَ الدَّائِمِينَ مِنَ الْخَلْـقِ

_Ṣalātun wa-taslīmun ʿalā khayri Hāshimin / tusāwī ṣalāta al-dā’imīna min al-khalqi_

Blessings and peace be upon the best of Hashim, equal to the prayers of all those in creation who pray eternally.
