Harful Waaw ·
From Ad-Dawaawiinu s-Sitta · الدواوين الست by Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass
Maḥawtu bi-māḥin Muṣṭafā Aḥmadin aswā
ʿani al-ʿabdi wa-l-aḥbābi ṭurran walā gharwā
I have erased all evils from this servant and all his loved ones through the Eraser (Al-Mahi), the Chosen Ahmad—and this is no surprise.
Ilā ghayrinā tanḥu al-maṣā’ibu in ʿadā
ʿalaynā wa-yanḥu naḥwahu al-ḍurru wa-l-balwā
Misfortunes turn away toward others if they ever attempt to strike us, and harm and trials are diverted from our path.
Wa-yashghalunā ḥubbu al-Amīni wa-dhikruhu
ʿani al-qatli wa-l-ashrāri fī al-jahri wa-l-najwā
The love of the Trustworthy One and his remembrance distracts us from killings and the wicked, in both public and private discourse.
Ḥabībi ilāhi al-ʿarshi majmaʿi sha’nihi
fa-tadhkāruhu ʿindī aladhdhu min al-ḥalwā
The beloved of the Lord of the Throne, the focal point of all honor; his remembrance to me is sweeter than any confection.
Wa-lim lā wa-anta al-ʿabdu lillāhi sayyidan
li-sādāti hadhā al-khalqi ḥaqqan walā daʿwā
And why not? For you are the servant of Allah and a master to the masters of this creation in truth, not just by claim.
Ḥabāhu ilāhun wāḥidun mutafaḍḍilun
karīmun falam yudrik lahu mudrikun sha’wā
A Single, Gracious, and Generous God bestowed upon him such rank that no pursuer could ever reach his heights.
Fa-minhu nawālu al-kulli wa-l-kullu dā’iman
wa-qad tarakū min baʿdi dhā baḥrahu rahwā
From him comes the bestowal for all, and all are forever in need of him, having left his "sea" as a vast, tranquil expanse.
ʿAlayhi ṣalātu Allāhi mā ḥanna ʿāshiqun
ilā Ṭaybati al-Mukhtāri man lā lahu sharwā
Upon him be the blessings of Allah as long as a lover yearns for the Tayba (Medina) of the Chosen One—he who has no equal.
ʿAlayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
maʿa al-āli man nālū bihi al-ghāyata al-quṣwā
Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace, along with the Family who reached the furthest goal through him.
Madā al-qadri wa-l-miqdāri min khayri mursalin
Muḥammadin al-māḥī alladhī rakiba al-Qaṣwā
According to his true measure and stature, from the best of messengers, Muhammad the Eraser, who rode Al-Qaswa (his noble she-camel).
Wa-hab lī bi-l-Mukhtāri mā khtartu dā’iman
li-dīnī wa-dunyā’ī ʿalā wafqi mā ahwā
And grant me through the Chosen One all that I have chosen forever, for my religion and my worldly life, in accordance with my heart’s desire.
