Harful Hamza ·
From Ad-Dawaawiinu s-Sitta · الدواوين الست by Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass
Qirāya lada al-Māḥī qubayla ḥibā’ī
Qabūlī wa-taṭhīrī wa-raf‘u ghiṭā’ī
My hospitality in the presence of the Eraser, before my reward, is my acceptance, my purification, and the lifting of my veil.
Wa-yuthbitunī fī al-khādimīna ḥaẓiyyahum
Wa-yaqbalu amdāḥī li-yawmi liqā’ī
He establishes me among the most favored of his servants and accepts my praises for the Day of Meeting.
Wa-yaqṭa‘u ‘annī al-bayna bil-waṣli dā’iman
Qad ishta‘alat bil-shawqi kullu ḥashā’ī
He severs my separation with eternal union, for all my inward parts have been set ablaze with longing.
A-Aḥmadu yā khayra al-anāmi nabiyyanā
Fa-minka atā al-arsāla kullu ḥibā’ī
O Ahmad, O best of mankind, our Prophet; it is from you that all gifts came to the other Messengers.
Wa-fī kulli ḥayyin min ḥibā’ika ni‘matun
Fa-asdil li-Ibrāhīma sayba ‘aṭā’i
In every living being, there is a blessing from your gifts; so pour down upon Ibrahim an overflow of your generosity.
Faqīrun gharībun shā‘irun khādimun lakum
Muḥibbun laqā lil-ḥubbi kulla jafā’i
I am a poor man, a stranger, a poet, and your servant; a lover who has met all kinds of harshness for the sake of this love.
‘Alayka ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Wa-ālin wa-asḥābin wa-ahli ‘abā’i
Upon you be the prayer of Allah and His peace, and upon the family, the companions, and the People of the Cloak.
