# At-Taa Aydwan · التَّاءُ أَيْضًا

**1.** فَحُبِّي لِخَيْـــــرِ الْخَلْقِ أَحْمَـــدَ ثَابِـــتُ / عَلَى أَنَّنِــــي فِيــــهِ يَزِيـــدُ وَثَابِـــتُ

_Fa-ḥubbī li-khayri al-khalqi Aḥmada thābitu / ‘Alā annanī fīhi yazīdu wa-thābitu_

My love for the best of creation, Ahmad, is firm; although I am ever-changing, in him my love increases and remains steadfast.

**2.** فَمَا الْحُسْنُ إِلاَّ حُسْــنُ وَجْــهِ مُحَمَّـــدٍ / يَبِيـــتُ يُنَاجِــــي رَبَّــهُ وَهْــوَ قَانِــتُ

_Fa-mā al-ḥusnu illā ḥusnu wajhi Muḥammadin / Yabītu yunājī rabbahu wa-huwa qānitu_

There is no true beauty except for the beauty of Muhammad’s face, as he spends the night in intimate discourse with his Lord in humble devotion.

**3.** وَإِنِّي مَدَى الْأَيَّامِ شِعْــــرِي مَدِيحُــهُ / وَفِكْرِيَ فِيهِ الدَّهْرَ وَقْتِـــيَ صَامِــتُ

_Wa-innī madā al-ayyāmi shi‘rī madīḥuhu / Wa-fikriya fīhi al-dahra waqtiya ṣāmitu_

Throughout all my days, my poetry is his praise; my thoughts are on him forever, even when my time is spent in silence.

**4.** فَمَا لَذَّ عَيْـــــشٌ دُونَ نَيْـــلِ وِصَالِــهِ / فَغَرْسُ هَوَى الْمَاحِـــي بِقَلْبِـيَ نَابِــتُ

_Fa-mā lad-dha ‘ayshun dūna nayli wiṣālihi / Fa-gharsu hawā al-Māḥī bi-qalbī nābitu_

Life has no deliciousness without attaining union with him; for the planting of the Eraser's love has sprouted within my heart.

**5.** عَلَيْــــهِ صَـــــــلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / لِتُقْضَى لَنَـــا بِالْحُـــبِّ تِلْكَ الْفَوَائِــتُ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Li-tuqḍā lanā bil-ḥubbi tilka al-fawā’itu_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, so that through this love, our past missed opportunities may be made up for.

**6.** عَلَيْـــهِ صَــــلاَةُ اللَّهِ ثُـــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / وَآلٍ وَصَحْبٍ حُبُّهُـــــمْ لِيَ ثَابِـــتُ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Wa-ālin wa-ṣaḥbin ḥubbuhum liya thābitu_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, and upon the family and companions whose love is firmly established within me.
