**1.** وَثِقْتُ بِمَاحِي الْكُفْرِ أَحْمَدَ حَاشِـــرِي / مُحَمَّــدٍ الْمُخْتَارِ خَيْـــــرِ الْمَعَاشِــــرِ

_Wathiqtu bi-Māḥī al-kufri Aḥmada ḥāshirī / Muḥammadin al-Mukhtāri khayri al-ma‘āshiri_

I have placed my trust in the Eraser of disbelief, Ahmad my Assembler; Muhammad the Chosen, the best of all companions.

**2.** مُحَمَّـــدٍ الْمَحْمُـــودِ طَــــهَ وَإِنَّنِــــي / عَلَى حُبِّهِ مَــا عِشْتُ فَـوْقَ الْأَكَابِــرِ

_Muḥammadin al-Maḥmūdi Ṭāhā wa-innanī / ‘Alā ḥubbihi mā ‘ishtu fawqa al-akābiri_

Muhammad the Praiseworthy, Taha; and indeed, as long as I live, I stand above the great ones through my love for him.

**3.** أَتَى عَاقِبًا نُورًا سِرَاجًا وَرَحْمَةً / رَسُولاً أَمِينًا فِي بُطُونٍ وَظَاهِرِ

_Atā ‘āqiban nūran sirājan wa-raḥmatan / Rasūlan amīnan fī buṭūnin wa-ẓāhiri_

He came as the Final, a light, a lamp, and a mercy; a trustworthy Messenger, both inwardly and outwardly.

**4.** أَتَى شَاهِدًا عَبْدَ الْإِلَـــهِ مُبَشِّــرًا / بَشِيرًا نَذِيرًا لِلْبُغَـــاةِ الْجَمَاهِــرِ

_Atā shāhidan ‘abda al-ilāhi mubash-shiran / Bashīran nadhīran lil-bughāti al-jamāhiri_

He came as a witness, a servant of God, bringing glad tidings; a bearer of good news and a warner to the rebellious masses.

**5.** رَسُولاً أَتَاهُمْ بِالْمَلاَحِمِ دَاعِيًـــا / أَمِينًا حَبَا مَا لَمْ يَجِئْ فِي الدَّفَاتِـرِ

_Rasūlan atāhum bil-malāḥimi dā‘iyan / Amīnan ḥabā mā lam yaji’ fī al-dafātiri_

A Messenger who came to them with epic struggles, calling them; a trustworthy one who bestowed what is not found in books.

**6.** سَبَانِي الْمُقَفَّى الْمُصْطَفَى الْبَدْرُ إِنَّهُ / شَفِيعُ الْبَرَايَا فِي الْخُطُوبِ الدَّوَائِـرِ

_Sabānī al-Muqaffā al-Muṣṭafā al-badru innahu / Shafī‘u al-barāyā fī al-khuṭūbi al-dawā’iri_

The Final, the Chosen, the Full Moon has captivated me; he is the intercessor for creation in the face of circling calamities.

**7.** لَكَ اللّٰهُ لاَ أَنْفَــــــكُّ أَشْــدُو بِذِكْــرِهِ / هُوَ الْعُرْوَةُ الْوُثْقَى وَتِلْكَ ذَخَائِرِي

_Laka Allāhu lā anfaku ash-dū bi-dhikrihi / Huwa al-‘urwatu al-wuthqā wa-tilka dhakhā’irī_

By God, I shall never cease singing his remembrance; he is the Firmest Handle, and that is my true treasure.

**8.** نَبِيٌّ كَرِيمٌ رَحْمَــــــةٌ وَهْوَ رَاحَــةٌ / مُقِيمٌ مُبِيــنٌ ذُو الْعُلَـــى وَالْمَفَاخِــرِ

_Nabiyyun karīmun raḥmatun wa-huwa rāḥatun / Muqīmun mubīnun dhū al-‘ulā wal-mafākhiri_

A noble Prophet, a mercy, and he is a source of rest; enduring, manifest, the possessor of high rank and glories.

**9.** أَحِيدُ كَرِيـــــمٌ مُتَّــقٍ وَهْوَ مُصْلِــحٌ / إِمَامٌ رَؤُوفٌ مُجْتَبًى وَهْوَ نَاصِرِي

_Aḥīdu karīmun muttaqin wa-huwa muṣliḥun / Imāmun ra’ūfun mujtaban wa-huwa nāṣirī_

He is Aheed (the Repeller of Fire), noble, God-fearing, and a reformer; a compassionate Imam, the Elect, and he is my helper.

**10.** كَفَانِـــــيَ يَاسِيـــنٌ مُقِيـــمٌ مُطَهَّـــرٌ / وَسَيِّدُنَا الْـهَادِي الْمُنِيــــلُ الْبَشَائِــرِ

_Kafānī Yāsīn muqīmun muṭah-harun / Wa-sayyidunā al-Hādī al-munīlu al-bashā’iri_

Sufficient for me is Yasin, the enduring and purified; and our master the Guide, the one who grants glad tidings.

**11.** أَيَا قَائِـــدَ الْغُـــرِّ الْمُهَيْمِنَ صَادِقًــا / حَبِيبًا شَهِيــــدًا مُنْــذِرًا بِالْخَسَائِــرِ

_Ayā qā’ida al-ghurri al-muhaymina ṣādiqan / Ḥabīban shahīdan mundhiran bil-khasā’iri_

O leader of the radiant ones, the truthful guardian; the beloved, the witness, the one who warns of losses.

**12.** لِتَرْحَمْ خَدِيمًا ضَارِعًا ضَلَّ سَعْيُـــهُ / أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ الْمَنْصُورَ يَا خَيْرَ حَاضِرِ

_Li-tarḥam khadīman ḍāri‘an ḍalla sa‘yuhu / Abā al-Qāsimi al-manṣūra yā khayra ḥāḍiri_

Have mercy on a humble servant whose efforts have strayed; O Abul Qasim, the Victorious, O best of those present.

**13.** لِأَنَّكَ يَـــا مَصْـــدُوقُ خَيْرُ مُشَفَّـــعٍ / لَـــهُ رُتْبَةٌ فَوْقَ السَّـــــرَاةِ الْأَخَايِـرِ

_Li-annaka yā maṣdūqu khayru mushaffa‘in / Lahu rutbatun fawqa al-sarāti al-akhāyiri_

Because you, O Truthful One, are the best of those whose intercession is accepted; he has a rank above the choicest of nobles.

**14.** رَأَيْتُـــــــــكَ أَهْــــلاً لِلْوَسِيلَةِ سَاقِيًـــا / لَدَى الْحَوْضِ سُلْطَانًا لِيَوْمِي وَالْآخِرِ

_Ra’aytuka ahlan lil-wasīlati sāqiyan / Ladā al-ḥawḍi sulṭānan li-yawmī wal-ākhiri_

I have seen you worthy of the "Greatest Means," a cupbearer at the Fountain, a sovereign for my today and my hereafter.

**15.** حَمِيدًا لَـــــهُ تَاجٌ وَخُــفٌّ وَخَــادِمٌ / مُقَدَّسَ سِــــرٍّ رَاكِبًــا فِي الْمَظَاهِــرِ

_Ḥamīdan lahu tāj wa-khuff wa-khādim / Muqaddasa sirrin rākiban fī al-maẓāhiri_

A praised one who possesses a crown, leather socks, and a servant; sanctified in secret, riding through outward manifestations.

**16.** مُقَفًّــــى لَـــهُ نَعْـــلاَنِ بَعْدَ هِـــرَاوَةٍ / لَـــهُ خَاتِمٌ أَرْجُــــو بِـــهِ كُلَّ فَاخِــرِ

_Muqaffā lahu na‘lāni ba‘da hirāwatin / Lahu khātimun arjū bihi kulla fākhiri_

The Final one who has two sandals and a staff; he has a seal through which I hope for every glorious thing.

**17.** هُدًى خَاتِمًـــــا ذَا عِــزَّةٍ وَمَكَانَــةٍ / تَوَكَّلَ حَقًّــا حِمْيَطَــا ذُو الْبَصَائِــرِ

_Hudan khātiman dhā ‘izzatin wa-makānatin / Tawakkala ḥaqqan Ḥimyāṭā dhū al-baṣā’iri_

A guidance, a seal, possessing might and high standing; he truly relied on God, Himyata, the possessor of insights.

**18.** لَحَا اللّٰهُ مَنْ يَنْـهَـــى مُحِبًّـا صَبَابَةً / وَيَرْحَمُ صَبًّا يَوْمَ بَلْوَى السَّرَائِــرِ

_Laḥā Allāhu man yanhā muḥibban ṣabābatan / Wa-yarḥamu ṣabban yawma balwā al-sarā’iri_

May God rebuke whoever forbids a lover his infatuation; and may He have mercy on the lover on the day when secrets are tested.

**19.** لِأَهْلِ الْـهَـوَى نَهْـــــجٌ قَوِيمٌ وَإِنَّنِـي / دَرَجْتُ عَلَيْــهِ لِلْوُقُــوتِ الْأَوَاخِــرِ

_Li-ahli al-hawā nahjun qawīmun wa-innanī / Darajtu ‘alayhi lil-wuqūti al-awākhiri_

For the people of love, there is a straight path; and indeed, I have walked upon it until my final moments.

**20.** عَلَى الْمُصْطَفَى الْمُخْتَارِ أَزْكَى صَلاَتِهِ / صَـــلاَةً بِهَــا تُمْحَــى جَمِيعُ كَبَائِــرِي

_‘Alā al-Muṣṭafā al-Mukhtāri azkā ṣalātihi / Ṣalātan bihā tumḥā jamī‘u kabā’irī_

Upon the Chosen, the Elect, be the purest of His blessings; a prayer through which all my major sins are erased.

**21.** أُسَائِـــلُ رَبًّا جَـــلَّ تَفْرِيــجَ كُرْبَتِــي / بِيُمْنِ رَسُـــــولِ اللّٰهِ أَعْظَـــمِ جَابِـــرِ

_Usā’ilu rabban jalla tafrīja kurbatī / Bi-yumni Rasūli Allāhi a‘ẓami jābiri_

I ask the Lord, Majestic is He, for the relief of my distress; through the blessing of the Messenger of Allah, the greatest mender of hearts.

**22.** لِأَسْعَدَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْأُخْرَى وَأَرْتَقِي / إِلَى ذِرْوَةٍ تَعْــــــدَادُهَــا بِالْخَنَاصِــرِ

_Li-as‘ada fī al-dunyā wal-ukhrā wa-artaqī / Ilā dhirwatin ta‘dāduhā bil-khanāṣiri_

That I may be happy in this world and the next, and rise to a peak that can be counted on the fingertips.

**23.** مَكِينًا لَدَى الرَّحْمَــنِ ذِي الْعَرْشِ دَائِمًا / وَلِـــي وَلِنَسْلِــي دَانَ كُــلُّ الْعَشَائِــرِ

_Makīnan lada al-Raḥmāni dhī al-‘arshi dā’iman / Wa-lī wa-li-naslī dāna kullu al-‘ashā’iri_

Established firmly before the Compassionate, the Lord of the Throne, forever; and may all tribes submit to me and to my lineage.

**24.** يَسُــــوسُ بِــلاَدَ اللّٰهِ أَمْـــــرِيَ هَادِيًــا / بِهَــــدْيِ كِتَابٍ أَوْ بِزَجْــرِ الزَّوَاجِــرِ

_Yasūsu bilāda Allāhi amrī hādiyan / Bi-hadyi kitābin aw bi-zajri al-zawājiri_

May my command govern the lands of God as a guide; by the guidance of a Book or by the restraint of prohibitions.

**25.** نُصَلِّي عَلَــى الْـهَـادِي نَرُومُ مَنَالَــهُ / عَلَيْهِ سَلاَمٌ وَهْوَ عِنْـــدِي ذَخَائِــرِي

_Nuṣallī ‘alā al-Hādī narūmu manālahu / ‘Alayhi salāmun wa-huwa ‘indī dhakhā’irī_

We pray upon the Guide, seeking his attainment; peace be upon him, for he is my only store of treasure.
