# Harfush Shiin · حَرْفُ الشِّينِ

**1.** سِفَارٌ مَعَ الْـهَـادِي لِذَلِـكَ لاَ نَخْشَــى / هَوَانًا وَلاَ ظُلْمًا وَجَوْرًا وَلاَ بَطْشَا

_Sifārun ma‘a al-Hādī li-dhālika lā nakhshā / Hawānan wa-lā ẓulman wa-jawran wa-lā baṭshā_

A journey with the Guide—for that reason, we do not fear humiliation, nor injustice, nor tyranny, nor assault.

**2.** أُخَاطِبُـهُ بِالْمَـــــــدْحِ وَهْـــــوَ مُؤَنِّسِـــي / وَحِينَ صَفَا الْمَاحِي فَمَا ضَرَّ مَنْ غَشَّا

_Ukhāṭibuhu bil-madḥi wa-huwa mu’annisī / Wa-ḥīna ṣafā al-Māḥī fa-mā darra man ghashshā_

I address him with praise while he is my intimate companion; and when the Eraser is pure toward me, the one who deceives cannot harm.

**3.** نَبِيٌّ عَلَيْهِ قَبْـــــلُ صَلَّـــى مُسَلِّمًـــا / إِلَـــهُ الْبَرَايَا وَهْوَ مِــنْ حُبِّهِ أَنْشَــا

_Nabiyyun ‘alayhi qablu ṣallā musalliman / Ilāhu al-barāyā wa-huwa min ḥubbihi anshā_

A Prophet upon whom the God of creation previously prayed and sent peace, and it was out of love for him that He initiated creation.

**4.** عَلَيْـــــهِ صَـــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / وَيُغْنِي الْمُقَفَّى عَنْ بَشَاشَةِ مَنْ بَشَّا

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Wa-yughnī al-Muqaffā ‘an bashāshati man bashshā_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; the Final Prophet makes me independent of the cheerful countenances of those who smile.

**5.** عَلَيْــــهِ صَــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / مَدَى الدَّهْرِ إِنْشَادِي لِأَحْمَدَ وَالْإِنْشَا

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Madā al-dahri inshādī li-Aḥmada wal-inshā_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; throughout all time be my chanting for Ahmad and my compositions.

**6.** عَلَيْهِ مَعَ الْآلِ الْكِـــرَامِ وَصَحْبِـــهِ / أَكُونُ خَدِيمًا عَابِــدًا عَالِمًــا أَخْشَى

_‘Alayhi ma‘a al-āli al-kirāmi wa-ṣaḥbihi / Akūnu khadīman ‘ābidan ‘āliman akhshā_

Upon him, along with the noble family and his companions; may I be a servant, a worshiper, a scholar, and one who fears God.
