**1.** وَثِقْتُ بِمَاحٍ قَدْ مَحَـــا كُلَّ ظَالِــمِ / مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُخْتَارِ نُـــــورِ الْعَوَالِــمِ

_Wathiqtu bi-Māḥin qad maḥā kulla ẓālimi / Muḥammadin al-Mukhtāri nūri al-‘awālimi_

I have trusted in the Eraser who has erased every oppressor: Muhammad the Chosen, the Light of the Worlds.

**2.** أُفَوِّضُ أَمْــــرِي لِلْإِلَـــهِ مُتَابِعًــــا / لِمِنْهَاجِ خَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ بَحْرِ الْمَكَارِمِ

_Ufaw-wiḍu amrī lil-ilāhi mutābi‘an / Li-minhāji khayri al-khalqi baḥri al-makārimi_

I entrust my affairs to God while following the path of the Best of Creation, the Ocean of Noble Traits.

**3.** فَشُغْلِي مَدَى الْأَيَّامِ مَــدْحُ جَنَابِــهِ / وَأَسْمُو بِهِ فَوْقَ السُّهَا وَالنَّعَائِـــمِ

_Fa-shughlī madā al-ayyāmi madḥu janābihi / Wa-asmū bihi fawqa al-suhā wan-na‘ā’imi_

My occupation throughout the days is the praise of his Presence; through him, I rise above the stars of Suha and Na'aim.

**4.** وَثِقْتُ بِهِ فِــــي حَالَتَـــيَّ وَإِنَّنِـــي / عَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ خَــادِمٌ لاِبْنِ هَاشِــمِ

_Wathiqtu bihi fī ḥālatayya wa-innanī / ‘Alā kulli ḥālin khādimun li-bni Hāshimi_

I have trusted in him in both my states; and I am, in every circumstance, a servant of the Son of Hashim.

**5.** ضَمِنْتُ لَهُ مَا عِشْتُ سَــرْدَ مَدَائِــحٍ / بِهَا تَعْتَلِي مِصْرِي عَلَى مُدْنِ سَالُـمِ

_Ḍamintu lahu mā ‘ishtu sarda madā’iḥi / Bihā ta‘talī miṣrī ‘alā mudni sālimi_

I have pledged for him, as long as I live, a continuous stream of praises, through which my land shall rise above the cities of Salum.

**6.** أَبَى اللّٰهُ مَهْمَا كُنْتُ خَادِمَ أَحْمَــــدٍ / مَسَاءَةَ قَلْبِي أَوْ خُضُوعِي لِظَالِـمِ

_Abā Allāhu mahmā kuntu khādima Aḥmada / Masā’ata qalbī aw khuḍū‘ī li-ẓālimi_

God has refused—so long as I am a servant of Ahmad—the sorrow of my heart or my submission to an oppressor.

**7.** مَتَى نَابَنِي أَمْرٌ مَدَحْتُ مُحَمَّـــدًا / فَيُتْحِفُنِي مَا فَاتَ أَفْكَـــارَ عَالِــمِ

_Matā nābanī amrun madaḥtu Muḥammadan / Fa-yut-ḥifunī mā fāta afkāra ‘ālimi_

Whenever a matter afflicts me, I praise Muhammad; then he gifts me insights that even the thoughts of a scholar have missed.

**8.** رَمَيْـــتُ بِهِ وَجْـــهَ الْعَــدُوِّ وَخِزْبَهُ / وَأَسْطُو بِسَيْفِ الْمُصْطَفَى خَيْرِ خَاتِمِ

_Ramaytu bihi wajha al-‘aduwwi wa-ḥizbihi / Wa-asṭū bi-sayfi al-Muṣṭafā khayri khātimi_

Through him, I have struck the face of the enemy and his party; I attack with the sword of the Chosen One, the best Seal.

**9.** يَسُومُونَ خَسْفًا لِلْجَنَابِ جَنَابِـــهِ / وَعِزَّتُـــــــهُ بِاللّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَوَالِــمِ

_Yasūmūna khasfan lil-janābi janābihi / Wa-‘izzatuhu bil-lāhi rabbi al-‘awālimi_

They seek to humiliate his high station, yet his glory is through Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.

**10.** إِلَيْكَ رَسُــــولَ اللّٰهِ أَشْكُو فَإِنَّنِــي / فَرِيدٌ حَقِيرٌ فِي عُيُونِ الْمُسَاخِــمِ

_Ilayka Rasūla Allāhi ashkū fa-innanī / Farīdun ḥaqīrun fī ‘uyūni al-musākhimi_

To you, O Messenger of Allah, I complain, for I am solitary and small in the eyes of the arrogant.

**11.** لَمَــــا وَجَدُوا عِنْـدِي جُيُوشًا وَعُدَّةً / وَلاَ نَاصِرًا عِنْدِي سِوَى ذِكْرِ هَاشِمِ

_Lammā wajadū ‘indī juyūshan wa-‘uddatan / Wa-lā nāṣiran ‘indī siwā dhikri Hāshimi_

They found no armies or equipment with me, and no helper except for the remembrance of Hashim.

**12.** أَتَتْرُكُنِي مَنْ شَاءَ ضَـــــامَ جَوَانِبِـي / وَلَمْ أُحْتَرَمْ مِنْ حُبِّ خَيْرِ الْأَكَارِمِ

_A-tatrukunī man shā’a ḍāma jawānibī / Wa-lam uḥtaram min ḥubbi khayri al-akārimi_

Would you leave me so that whoever wills can oppress my sides, while I am not respected despite my love for the best of the noble?

**13.** أُنَادِيهِ يَا طَـــهَ أَ أَحْمَدُ عَــــاقِبٌ / لِتُنْقِذْ عُبَيْدًا مِــنْ عَدُوٍّ وَغَاشِـمِ

_Unādīhi yā Ṭāhā a-Aḥmadu ‘āqibun / Li-tunqidh ‘ubaydan min ‘aduwwin wa-ghāshimi_

I call upon him: O Taha, O Ahmad, the Successor—rescue a little servant from an enemy and an oppressor.

**14.** لَجَأْتُ إِلَيْهِ لَــمْ أَرُمْ غَيْرَ عَوْنِــهِ / يَقِينِي شُرُورًا مِنْ جَمَادٍ وَآدَمِي

_Laja’tu ilayhi lam arum ghayra ‘awnihi / Yaqīnī shurūran min jamādin wa-ādamī_

I have taken refuge in him, seeking none other than his help; he protects me from the evils of both the inanimate and the human.

**15.** لَهُ سَطْوَةٌ تَسْتَأْصِلُ الْكُفْرَ مَنْ لَنَا / بِسَطْوَتِهِ تَنْحُو لِأَهْــــلِ الْمَظَالِــمِ

_Lahu saṭwatun tasta’ṣilu al-kufra man lanā / Bi-saṭwatihi tanḥū li-ahli al-maẓālimi_

He possesses a strike that uproots disbelief; through his power, He turns toward the people of injustices for our sake.

**16.** هَدَمْتُ الَّذِي شَادُوا بِمَدْحِ مُحَمَّـــدٍ / فَصَارَ الَّذِي رَامُوا كَأَحْلاَمِ نَائِـــمِ

_Hadamtu alladhī shādū bi-madḥi Muḥammadin / Fa-ṣāra alladhī rāmū ka-aḥlāmi nā’imi_

I have demolished what they built through the praise of Muhammad; what they aimed for has become like the dreams of a sleeper.

**17.** إِلَـــهَ الْبَرَايَا الْعَدْلَ ذَا الْبَطْشِ فَاقْهَرَنْ / جَمِيعَ الْعِدَى وَلْتَكْفِنِي ، خَيْرَ رَاحِـــمِ

_Ilāha al-barāyā al-‘adla dhal-baṭshi faq-haran / Jamī‘a al-‘idā wal-takfinī khayra rāḥimi_

O God of creation, the Just, the One of Great Strike—subdue all the enemies and suffice me, O Best of those who show mercy.

**18.** نَعَمْ نَقَمُوا مِنَّا اقْتِفَــــاءً لِنَهْجِ مَــــنْ / بَعَثْتَ بِنُورِ الْحَقِّ غَيْرَ مُزَاحَمِ

_Na‘am naqamū minnā iqtifā’an li-nahji man / Ba‘athta bi-nūri al-ḥaqqi ghayra muzāḥami_

Yes, they resented us for following the path of the one whom You sent with the Light of Truth without rival.

**19.** نَبِيُّ الْـهُدَي لَيْثُ الْعِدَى بَاذِلُ النَّدَى / أَبَانَ لِأَهْلِ الرُّشْدِ كُــــــلَّ الْمَعَالِــمِ

_Nabiyyu al-hudā laythu al-‘idā bādhilu al-nadā / Abāna li-ahli al-rushdi kulla al-ma‘ālimi_

The Prophet of guidance, the lion against enemies, the giver of bounty; he made manifest all the landmarks for the people of right-guidance.

**20.** أَرَانَا سَبِيلَ الْحَقِّ جِــــدَّ مُنَاصِــحٍ / عَلَيْهِ صَـــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ أَهْلِ الْمَرَاحِــمِ

_Arānā sabīla al-ḥaqqi jidda munāṣiḥin / ‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi ahli al-marāḥimi_

He showed us the path of Truth as a most sincere advisor; upon him be the prayer of Allah, the Source of Mercies.

**21.** لَئِنْ غَابَ عَنَّا ، دِينُهُ غَيْرُ غَائِبٍ / وَنَاصِرُهُ يَرْقَى لِأَقْصَى السَّلاَلِمِ

_La’in ghāba ‘annā dīnuhu ghayru ghā’ibin / Wa-nāṣiruhu yarqā li-aqṣā al-salālimi_

Though he is hidden from us, his religion is not absent; and its helper rises to the highest of ladders.

**22.** لَقَدْ حَازَ أَنْصَارُ الْحَنِيفَــــةِ رُتْبَــةً / وَخَادِمُهَا يَعْلُو عَلَـــى كُلِّ خَــادِمِ

_Laqad ḥāza anṣāru al-ḥanīfati rutbatan / Wa-khādimuhā ya‘lū ‘alā kulli khādimi_

The supporters of the primordial faith have attained a high rank; and its servant rises above every other servant.

**23.** هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَالنُّورُ الْمُبِينُ وَإِنَّنِي / دَرَجْتُ عَلَيْهِ رَغْمَ أَنْفِ الْبَهَائِمِ

_Huwa al-ḥaqqu wan-nūru al-mubīnu wa-innanī / Darajtu ‘alayhi raghma anfi al-bahā’imi_

He is the Truth and the Manifest Light; and I have walked upon his path despite the resistance of the ignorant.

**24.** بَدَا لِيَ أَنَّ الْأَمْــــــرَ لِلّٰهِ وَحْـــدَهُ / مَتَى شَاءَ حَازَ الْعَبْدُ كُلَّ الْغَنَائِمِ

_Badā lī anna al-amra lillāhi waḥdahu / Matā shā’a ḥāza al-‘abdu kulla al-ghanā’imi_

It has become clear to me that the matter belongs to Allah alone; whenever He wills, the servant captures all the spoils.

**25.** صَبَرْتُ لِمَا أَلْقَى وَرَبِّيَ كَاشِــفٌ / جَمِيعَ كُرُوبِي يَا تُرَى رُبَّ نَادِمِ

_Ṣabartu limā alqā wa-rabbī kāshifun / Jamī‘u kurūbī yā turā rubba nādimi_

I have been patient with what I encountered, and my Lord is the One who removes all my distresses—perhaps there will be many who regret.

**26.** يُحَوِّلُ حَالِي وَهْوَ سَهْـــلٌ مُيَسَّــرٌ / إِلَـــهُ الْبَرَايَا ثُمَّ أَحْــــوَالَ ظَالِــمِ

_Yuḥawwilu ḥālī wa-huwa sahlun muyas-sarun / Ilāha al-barāyā thumma aḥwāla ẓālimi_

The God of creation transforms my state—for it is easy and made simple—and then He transforms the states of the oppressor.

**27.** رَقِيبٌ عَلَيْهِمْ خَالِقِــــي وَمُدَبِّــرِي / إِذَا شَرَعُوا بِالظُّلْمِ مَنْ لِي بِفَاهِــمِ

_Raqībun ‘alayhim khāliqī wa-mudabbirī / Idhā shara‘ū bil-ẓulmi man lī bi-fāhimi_

My Creator and Disposer is a Watcher over them; if they begin their injustice, who else do I have who understands?

**28.** بَصِيرٌ خَبِيرٌ قَـــــادِرٌ وَانْتِقَامُـــهُ / شَدِيدٌ عَلَى الْأَعْدَاءِ أَهْلِ الْمَظَالِمِ

_Baṣīrun khabīrun qādirun wa-ntiqāmuhu / Shadīdun ‘ala al-a‘dā’i ahli al-maẓālimi_

All-Seeing, Expert, Powerful—and His vengeance is severe against the enemies and the people of injustice.

**29.** أُصَلِّي عَلَى خَيْرِ الْعِبَـــادِ مُحَمَّــدٍ / عَلَيْهِ صَـــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ مِــنْ كُلِّ قَائِـمِ

_Uṣallī ‘alā khayri al-‘ibādi Muḥammadin / ‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi min kulli qā’imi_

I pray upon the best of servants, Muhammad; upon him be the prayer of Allah from every standing worshiper.

**30.** لَـــهُ مِنْ إِلَـهِـي كُلَّ طَرْفٍ صَلاَتُهُ / عَلَيْــــهِ صَـــلاَةٌ لاَ تُعَـــــدُّ لِرَاقِــمِ

_Lahu min ilāhī kulla ṭarfin ṣalātuhu / ‘Alayhi ṣalātun lā tu‘addu li-rāqimi_

To him, from my God, in every blink, be His prayer; upon him be a prayer that cannot be counted by any scribe.

**31.** عَلَيْـــــهِ صَــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / مَعَ الْآلِ وَالصَّحْبِ الْبُحُورِ الْخَضَارِمِ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Ma‘a al-āli wal-ṣaḥbi al-buḥūri al-khaḍārimi_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, along with the family and companions, the surging oceans of generosity.

**32.** بِــــهِ وَإِلَيْـــهِ مِنْــهُ عَنْــــهُ عَلَيْهِـــــمُ / وَمَنْ يَقْتَفِيهِمْ مِــنْ مُصَــلٍّ وَصَائِــمِ

_Bihi wa-ilayhi minhu ‘anhu ‘alayhim / Wa-man yaqtafīhim min muṣallin wa-ṣā’imi_

Through him, toward him, from him, about him, and upon them—and upon whoever follows them in prayer and fasting.

**33.** أَجِبْ يَا إِلَـهِـي دَعْوَتِـــي ثُـــمَّ صَلِّيَـــنْ / عَلَى الْمُصْطَفَى الْمُخْتَارِ مُعْطِي الْمَغَانِمِ

_Ajib yā ilāhī da‘watī thumma ṣalliyan / ‘Alā al-Muṣṭافā al-Mukhtāri mu‘ṭī al-maghānimi_

Answer, O my God, my supplication, and then send prayers upon the Chosen, the Elect, the Giver of spoils.

**34.** دَعْوَتُ إِلَـهِي لَيْسَ لِي الدَّهْرَ غَيْرُهُ / وَهُو الْوَاهِبُ الْمُعْطِي لِبَرٍّ وَظَالِـــمِ

_Da‘awtu ilāhī laysa lī al-dahra ghayruhu / Wa-huwa al-wāhibu al-mu‘ṭī li-barrin wa-ẓālimi_

I have called upon my God, for I have none other throughout time; and He is the Giver, the Granter to both the righteous and the oppressor.
