# Al-Hhaa Aydwan · الْهَاءُ أَيْضًا

**1.** هَنِيئًا لِإِبْرَاهِيــــــمَ لاَحَ هِلاَلُـــهُ / هِلاَلٌ بَــــدَا لِلنَّاظِرِيـــنَ جَمَالُــهُ

_Hanī’an li-Ibrāhīma lāḥa hilāluhu / Hilālun badā lin-nāẓirīna jamāluhu_

Congratulations to Ibrahim, for his crescent moon has appeared; a moon whose beauty has become manifest to the onlookers.

**2.** هِلاَلُ رَبِيـعٍ فِيــــــهِ جَاءَ مُحَمَّـــدٌ / فَـتَمَّ لَنَا الْبُشْـــرَى وَعَـــمَّ نَوَالُــهُ

_Hilālu Rabī‘in fīhi jā’a Muḥammadun / Fa-tamma lanā al-bushrā wa-‘amma nawāluhu_

The moon of Rabi' [al-Awwal], in which Muhammad came; so our glad tidings became complete and his bounty became universal.

**3.** لِأَفْضَلِ أَرْضٍ حَلَّ أَفْضَلُ مُرْسَلٍ / بِأَفْضَلِ يَــــوْمٍ فَاسْتَبَـــانَ كَمَالُــهُ

_Li-afḍali arḍin ḥalla afḍalu mursalin / Bi-afḍali yawmin fastabāna kamāluhu_

To the best of lands came the best of Messengers, on the best of days, and thus his perfection became clear.

**4.** قَدِ اخْتِيرَ مِنْ كُلِّ الْعَوَالِمِ أَصْلُــهُ / كَمَا اخْتِيرَ وَاخْتِيرَتْ لِذَاكَ فِعَالُهُ

_Qadi-khtīra min kulli al-‘awālimi aṣluhu / Kamā-khtīra wa-khtīrat li-dhālika fi‘āluhu_

His origin was chosen from all the worlds, just as his actions were specifically selected for that [purpose].

**5.** مُحَمَّـــــدُ مُخْتَــارٌ وَآدَمُ طِينَـةٌ / مُحَمَّدُ يَوْمَ الْبَعْثِ رَاقَ خِصَالُهُ

_Muḥammadun mukhtārun wa-Ādamu ṭīnatun / Muḥammadun yawma al-ba‘thi rāqa khiṣāluhu_

Muhammad was the "Chosen" while Adam was still [unformed] clay; on the Day of Resurrection, his traits shall be the most pleasing.

**6.** مُحَمَّدُ نُورُ الْخَلْقِ وَهْوَ مُحَمَّــدٌ / عَظِيمٌ عَظِيمُ الْخُلْقِ تَمَّ جَلاَلُــهُ

_Muḥammadun nūru al-khalqi wa-huwa Muḥammadun / ‘Aẓīmun ‘aẓīmu al-khuluqi tamma jalāluhu_

Muhammad is the Light of creation, and he is Muhammad; magnificent, great in character, his majesty is complete.

**7.** عَلَيْهِ صَلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / يَزُولُ عَذَابٌ آنَ مِنْكَ زَوَالُــهُ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Yazūlu ‘adhābun āna minka zawāluhu_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; through him, the torment whose time for departure has come shall vanish.

**8.** عَلَيْهِ صَـــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / يَـتِمُّ لِبَرْهَامَ الْحَقِيرِ وِصَالُـــهُ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Yatimmu li-Barhāma al-ḥaqīri wiṣāluhu_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; may union be completed for the lowly "Barham."

**9.** عَلَيْهِ صَــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / يُبِيدُ عَدُوَّ الدِّينِ مِنْـكَ قِتَالُــهُ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Yubīdu ‘aduwwa al-dīni minka qitāluhu_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; through you, the combat against the enemy of religion shall be annihilated.

**10.** عَلَيْــهِ صَــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / يَكُونُ عَدُوِّي شُدَّ مِنْكَ وَبَالُهُ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Yakūnu ‘aduwwī shudda minka wabāluhu_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; may my enemy face the full weight of your punishment.

**11.** عَلَيْــــهِ صَــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / مَتَى لاَحَ مِنْ فَوْقِ السَّمَاءِ هِلاَلُهُ

_‘Alayka ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Matā lāḥa min fawqi al-samā’i hilāluhu_

Upon you be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, whenever his crescent moon shines from above the heavens.

**12.** عَلَيْـــــهِ صَـــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُـهُ / بِهَا خُصِّصَ الْأَصْحَابُ طُرًّا وَآلُهُ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Bihā khuṣ-ṣiṣa al-aṣḥābu ṭurran wa-āluhu_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, through which the companions—all of them—and his family are specifically honored.
