# Harfut Twaa · حَرْفُ الطَّاءِ

**1.** طَحَنْتُ بِخَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ أَقْوَى الْوَثَائِقِ / مَمَالِكَ أَبْنَـــــاءِ الْبُغَـــاةِ الْفَوَاسِــقِ

_Ṭaḥantu bi-khayri al-khalqi aqwā al-wathā’iqi / Mamālika abnā’i al-bughāti al-fawāsiqi_

Through the Best of Creation, the strongest of bonds, I have ground down the kingdoms of the sons of rebellious transgressors.

**2.** سِلاَحِي رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ وَهْوَ تَحَصُّنِــي / وَخَيْلِي وَرَجْلِي فَهْوَ سِرُّ الْحَقَائِقِ

_Silāḥī Rasūlu Allāhi wa-huwa taḥaṣ-ṣunī / Wa-khaylī wa-rajlī fa-huwa sirru al-ḥaqā’iqi_

The Messenger of Allah is my weapon and my fortress; he is my cavalry and my infantry, for he is the Secret of Realities.

**3.** حَمَى عَنْ دُيُورِي كُلَّ ضَنْكٍ وَفِتْنَةٍ / وَزَحْزَحَ عَنْهَا كُلَّ بَــاغٍ وَفَاسِـــقِ

_Ḥamā ‘an duyūrī kulla ḍankin wa-fitnatin / Wa-zaḥzaḥa ‘anhā kulla bāghin wa-fāsiqi_

He protected my lands from every distress and trial, and removed from them every oppressor and profligate.

**4.** وَسَاقَ رِجَالَ الْخَيْرِ إِذْ يَقْصُدُونَهَا / وَأَلْهَمَ صَحْبِي ذَوْقَ كُلِّ الرَّقَائِــقِ

_Wa-sāqa rijāla al-khayri idh yaqṣudūnahā / Wa-alhama ṣaḥbī dhawqa kulli al-raqā’iqi_

He drove the people of goodness toward these lands and inspired my companions to taste all the spiritual subtleties.

**5.** عَلِيٌّ خَدِيمِــي خَازِنُ السِّرِّ كَاتِبِـي / بِتَزْيِينِ مَدْحِي قَــدْ عَلاَ كُلَّ فَائِــقِ

_‘Aliyyun khadīmī khāzinu al-sirri kātibī / Bi-tazyīni madḥī qad ‘alā kulla fā’iqi_

Ali is my servant, the treasurer of the secret, and my scribe; through embellishing my praise, he has surpassed every person of excellence.

**6.** فَإِنَّ مَدِيحِـــــــي لِلْأَمِيــنِ طَرِيقَــةٌ / لِإِضْرَاكِ فَيْضٍ دُونَــهُ كُلُّ سَابِــقِ

_Fa-inna madīḥī lil-Amīni ṭarīqatun / Li-iḍrāki fayḍin dūnahu kullu sābiqi_

Indeed, my praise for the Trustworthy One is a spiritual path for attaining an overflow of grace that surpasses all who came before.

**7.** فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللّٰهِ وَهْــــوَ مُسَاعِــدِي / مُحِيــطٌ بِسِـــرِّ اللّٰهِ رَبِّ الْخَلاَئِــقِ

_Fa-inna Rasūla Allāhi wa-huwa musā‘idī / Muḥīṭun bi-sirri Allāhi rabbi al-khalā’iqi_

For the Messenger of Allah is my helper; he encompasses the Secret of Allah, the Lord of creation.

**8.** وَمِنْ بَحْرِهِ لِلصَّحْبِ أَمْسَيْــتُ غَارِفًــا / عَلَى وَفْقِ مَا يَرْجُونَ مِنْ فَضْلِ خَالِقِي

_Wa-min baḥrihi liṣ-ṣaḥbi amsaytu ghārifan / ‘Alā wafqi mā yarjūna min faḍli khāliqī_

From his ocean, I have become one who scoops for my companions, according to what they hope for from the grace of my Creator.

**9.** عَلَيْـــــهِ صَــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــــهُ / صَــــلاَةً بِهَا أُرْوِي ظَمَـــا كُلِّ وَامِــقِ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Ṣalātan bihā urwī ẓamā kulli wāmiqi_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; a prayer through which I quench the thirst of every passionate lover.

**10.** عَلَيْـــــهِ صَـــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُــــهُ / وَيَنْسَخُ نَهْــجُ الْخَتْـــمِ كُـــلَّ طَرَائِــقِ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Wa-yansakhu nahju al-khatmi kulla ṭarā’iqi_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; may the path of the Seal abrogate all other spiritual paths.

**11.** عَلَيْـــــهِ صَـــــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / صَـــلاَةً بِهَا تَسْقِي الْمُلُــوكُ حَدَائِقِــي

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Ṣalātan bihā tasqī al-mulūku ḥadā’iqī_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; a prayer through which kings shall water my gardens.

**12.** عَلَيْــــــهِ صَـــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / تَزِينُ سُطُورِي الدَّهْرَ بِيضَ الْمَهَارِقِ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Tazīnu suṭūrī al-dahra bīḍa al-mahāriqi_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; it embellishes my writings forever upon the white pages.

**13.** عَلَيْـــهِ مَعَ الْآلِ الْكِــــرَامِ وَصَحْبِــهِ / بُحُورِ النَّدَى أُسْدِ الْوَغَى وَالْمَضَايِــقِ

_‘Alayhi ma‘a al-āli al-kirāmi wa-ṣaḥbihi / Buḥūri al-nadā usdi al-waghā wal-maḍā’iqi_

Upon him, along with the noble family and his companions, the oceans of bounty and the lions of battle and hardship.
