Harfus Swaad ·
From Ad-Dawaawiinu s-Sitta · الدواوين الست by Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass
Ṣafā waqtu hādhā al-‘abdi ḥīna takhal-laṣā
Wa-fukka mina al-aghyāri wal-ḥubba akhlaṣā
The time of this servant became pure when he attained liberation; he was freed from all others and made his love sincere.
Wa-dhāka bi-ḥubbī lil-Amīni wa-dhikrihi
Wa-qad khajila al-wāshūna mim-man tarab-baṣā
That was through my love for the Trustworthy One and his remembrance; while the slanderers who were lying in wait have been shamed.
Wiqāyatu rabbī aghnati al-‘abda sarmadan
Ila jānibī man kāda lan yatakhal-laṣā
The protection of my Lord has sufficed this servant forever; those at my side who plotted shall never find a way out.
Kadhalika ḥarbuhu takfī al-‘idā fa-tarāhumu
Bi-sāḥatihim ṣar‘ā jazā’an li-man ‘aṣā
Likewise, his battle is sufficient against the enemies, so you see them fallen in their own courtyards—a recompense for those who disobeyed.
Arāniya manṣūran bi-sirri Muḥammadin
‘Alayhi ṣalātun qad ta‘ummu mukhaṣ-ṣaṣā
I see myself victorious through the secret of Muhammad; upon him be a prayer that encompasses both the general and the specific.
‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Ṣalātan wa-taslīman yuwāfīhi mukhlaṣā
Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; a prayer and salutation that reaches him in pure sincerity.
‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Yanālu ‘aduwwī minhu dahran tanaq-quṣā
Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; may my enemy suffer a perpetual diminishing through him.
‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Arā al-dahra qirṭāsī li-madḥika baṣ-baṣā
Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; I see time itself acting as my paper, eager for your praise.
‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Malābisa taqwa Allāhi kay ataqam-maṣā
Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; [grant me] the garments of God-consciousness that I may clothe myself in them.
‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Wa-ālin wa-asḥābin wa-man qad takhaṣ-ṣaṣā
Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, and upon the family, the companions, and whoever has become specialized [in his love].
