Harful Faa · حَرْفُ الْفَاءِ
From Ad-Dawaawiinu s-Sitta · الدواوين الست by Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass
فَهَلْ لَكَ أَنْ تَنْحُو لِنَحْوِ الْمُؤَسِّـــــسِ
مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَاحِي حَبِيبِــــــي الْمُقَـــدَّسِ
Fa-hal laka an tanḥū li-naḥwi al-Mu’assisi
Muḥammadin al-Māḥī ḥabībī al-muqaddasi
Will you then turn toward the direction of the Founder; Muhammad, the Eraser, my sacred beloved.
أُنَادِيهِ يَا طَــــهَ وَأَحْمَــــدُ عَاقِــــبٌ
وَحَاشِرُ يَا هَادِي الْعِبَادِ الْمُؤَسِّــسِ
Unādīhi yā Ṭāhā wa-Aḥmadu ‘Āqibun
Wa-Ḥāshiru yā hādi al-‘ibādi al-Mu’assisi
I call upon him: O Taha, and Ahmad, the Successor; the Assembler, O Guide of the servants, the Founder.
مُحَمَّدُ مَحْمُــــــودٌ مُحَمَّـــدُ حَامِــدٌ
مُحَمَّدٌ الْمُخْتَارُ مَاحِي الْعَرَنْـــدَسِ
Muḥammadu Maḥmūdun Muḥammadu Ḥāmidun
Muḥammadin al-Mukhtāru māḥī al-‘arandasi
Muhammad is the Praised, Muhammad is the Praiser; Muhammad is the Chosen, the eraser of the powerful [oppression].
هُوَ الْمُصْطَفَى الْمَحْبُوبُ وَهْوَ الْمُزَمِّلُ
الْمُدَثِّرُ يَاسِيـــنٌ عَـــلاَ كُـــلَّ أَقْـــدَسِ
Huwa al-Muṣṭafa al-maḥbūbu wa-huwa al-Muzammilu
Al-Mudaththiru Yāsīnun ‘alā kulla aqdasi
He is the Selected, the beloved, and he is the Enwrapped; the Shrouded, Yasin—he rose above every holy one.
عَلَيْـــهِ صَــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــــمَّ سَلاَمُــــهُ
صَــــلاَةً تُنِيــــلُ الْعَبْـــدَ كُـــلَّ تَقَدُّسِ
‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Ṣalātan tunīlu al-‘abda kulla taqaddusi
Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; a prayer that grants the servant every state of holiness.
عَلَيْهِ صَـــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ
وَأَلْمَسُ قُرْبَ الْمُقْتَفَى كُلَّ مَلْمَسِ
‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Wa-almasu qurba al-Muqtafā kulla malmasi
Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; may I feel the proximity of the Followed One in every touch.
عَلَيْهِ صَــــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ
وَآلٍ وَصَحْبٍ تَزْدَرِي كُلَّ نَرْجِسِ
‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Wa-ālin wa-ṣaḥbin tazdarī kulla narjisi
Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, and upon the family and companions who outshine every narcissus flower.
