# Harfur Raa · حَرْفُ الرَّاءِ

**1.** رَقِيتُ بِحُبِّ الْمُصْطَفَــى كُلَّ شَامِــخِ / مِنَ الْمَجْدِ يُزْرِي كُلَّ رَاسٍ وَرَاسِخِ

_Raqītu bi-ḥubbi al-Muṣṭafā kulla shāmikhi / Mina al-majdi yuzrī kulla rāsin wa-rāsikhi_

I ascended through the love of the Chosen One to every lofty peak of glory, surpassing every head and every established master.

**2.** بَلَى إِنَّمَا حُبُّ الْأَمِيـــنِ كَرَامَــــةٌ / وَقَدْ فُتُّ مُرْدَانًا وَكُلَّ الْمَشَايِــخِ

_Balā innamā ḥubbu al-Amīni karāmatun / Wa-qad futtu murdānan wa-kulla al-mashāyikhi_

Indeed, the love of the Trustworthy One is a miracle; and I have surpassed the youths and all the elders.

**3.** وَمَنْ يَشْتَغِلْ دَهْــــرًا بِحُبِّ مُحَمَّــدٍ / يَنَلْ كُلَّ مَا يَهْوَى مِنْ أَعْلَى الْبَرَازِخِ

_Wa-man yashtaghil dahran bi-ḥubbi Muḥammadin / Yanal kulla mā yahwā min a‘lā al-barāzikhi_

Whoever busies himself forever with the love of Muhammad shall attain all he desires from the highest of the intermediate realms.

**4.** وَقَدْ جَاءَنِي مِنْهُ الْبِشَارَاتُ أَنَّنِـــي / بِمَدْحِيَ أَسْمُو فَوْقَ كُــــلِّ الشَّوَامِخِ

_Wa-qad jā’anī minhu al-bishārātu annanī / Bi-madḥiya asmū fawqa kulli al-shawāmikhi_

Glad tidings have come to me from him that I, through my praise, shall rise above all lofty heights.

**5.** وَقَدْ فَرِحَتْ كُلُّ الْحُرُوفِ لِأَنَّهَا اكْــ / ــتَسَتْ حُلَلاً تُلْهِي لِنَــاسٍ وَنَاسِـــخِ

_Wa-qad fariḥat kullu al-ḥurūfi li-annahā k- / --tasat ḥulalan tulhī li-nāsin wa-nāsikhi_

All the letters have rejoiced because they have been clothed in garments that distract the forgetful and the scribe.

**6.** عَلَيْهِ صَـــــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / لِتُطْوَى لَنَا الْبَيْدَا وَكُــلُّ الْفَرَاسِــخِ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Li-tuṭwā lanā al-baydā wa-kullu al-farāsikhi_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, so that the desert and all the distances may be folded for us.

**7.** عَلَيْـــــــــهِ صَــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / صَلاَةً تُرِي مِصْرِي كَـإِحْدَى النَّوَاسِخِ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Ṣalātan turī Miṣrī ka-iḥdā al-nawāsikhi_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; a prayer that makes my land like one of the transformative centers.

**8.** عَلَيْهِ صَــــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / صَـــلاَةً بِهَا أُمْسِي غِيَاثًا لِصَارِخِ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Ṣalātan bihā umsī ghiyāthan li-ṣārikhi_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; a prayer through which I become a helper to the one who cries for aid.

**9.** عَلَيْهِ صَــــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / وَآلٍ وَصَحْبٍ قَدْ قَفَوْا شَرْعَ نَاسِخِ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Wa-ālin wa-ṣaḥbin qad qafaw shar‘a nāsikhi_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, and upon the family and companions who followed the law of the Abrogator.
