# Harfuth Thaa · حَرْفُ الثَّاءِ

**1.** ثَوَى حُبُّ خَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ فِي خَلَدِي فَوْزَا / وَقَدْ نِلْتُ مِنْهُ السِّرَّ وَالْعِلْــمَ وَالْكَنْــزَا

_Thawā ḥubbu khayri al-khalqi fī khaladī fawzā / Wa-qad niltu minhu al-sirra wal-‘ilma wal-kanzā_

The love of the Best of Creation has settled in my mind as a triumph; and from him, I have attained the Secret, the Knowledge, and the Treasure.

**2.** إِمَامٌ وَهَـــــادٍ فِــي مَشَاهِـــدِ دَهْشَـــةٍ / لَدَى عَالَمِ الْأَرْوَاحِ قَدْ أَوْضَحَ الرَّمْزَا

_Imāmun wa-hādin fī mashāhidi dahshatin / Lada ‘ālami al-arwāḥi qad awḍaḥa al-ramzā_

He is the Leader and Guide in the scenes of bewilderment; in the world of the spirits, he explained the symbols.

**3.** بَلَى قَالَ مَهْمَا الْحَــــقُّ قَـــالَ تَجَلِّيًـــا / أَلَسْتُ بِرَبٍّ قَبْلَ أَنْ زَخْرَفُوا الْعُزَّى

_Balā qāla mahmā al-ḥaqqu qāla tajal-liyā / Alastu bi-rabbin qabla an zakhrafū al-‘Uzzā_

"Yes!" he said, when the Truth spoke in manifestation: "Am I not your Lord?"—long before they adorned the idol 'Uzza.

**4.** فَقَالَ جَمِيعُ الرُّسْلِ مَا قَالَ مُرْشِــــدِي / وَكُلُّ نَبِيٍّ ثُــمَّ مَــنْ عَرَفُـــوا الْمَيْــزَا

_Fa-qāla jamī‘u al-rusli mā qāla murshidī / Wa-kullu nabiyyin thumma man ‘arafū al-mayzā_

Then all the messengers said what my guide said, as did every prophet and those who possessed discernment.

**5.** فَكَـــانَ إِمَـــامُ الْكُـــلِّ لِلْكُـلِّ قَائِــدًا / فَمِنْهُ جَمِيعًا مَا إِلَى الرُّسْلِ قَدْ يُعْزَى

_Fa-kāna imāmu al-kulli lil-kulli qā’idā / Fa-minhu jamī‘an mā ilā al-rusli qad yu‘zā_

Thus he was the Imam of all and the leader for all; for everything attributed to the messengers is derived from him.

**6.** عَلَيْــــــهِ صَـــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / أَنَالُ بِهَا الْعَلْيَاءَ وَالرُّشْــــدَ وَالْفَــوْزَا

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Anālu bihā al-‘alyā’a war-rushda wal-fawzā_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; through which I attain high status, guidance, and triumph.

**7.** عَلَيْـــــــهِ صَـــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / تُزِيلُ طَخَاءَ الْقَلْبِ وَالْـهَمْزَ وَاللَّمْـزَا

_‘Alayka ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Tuzīlu ṭakhā’a al-qalbi wal-hamza wal-lamzā_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; may it remove the darkness of the heart, the whispers, and the slandering.

**8.** عَلَيْـــــــــهِ صَـــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَــــلاَمُــهُ / بِهَا قَدْ تَقِينِي السِّحْرَ وَالضَّرْبَ وَالْوَكْزَا

_‘Alayka ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Bihā qad taqīnī al-siḥra wal-ḍarba wal-wakzā_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; may it protect me from magic, strikes, and blows.

**9.** عَلَيْهِ صَــــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / تُسَخِّرُ لِي دَهْرِي وَلَمْ أُلْكَزَنْ لَكْزَا

_‘Alayka ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Tusakh-khiru lī dahrī wa-lam ulkazan lakzā_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; may it subject my time to me so that I am never shoved or struck.

**10.** عَلَيْـــهِ صَـــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / وَآلٍ وَصَحْبٍ قَــدْ أُنِلْنَا بِهِمْ عِـــزَّا

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Wa-ālin wa-ṣaḥbin qad unilnā bihim ‘izzā_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, and upon the family and companions through whom we were granted might.
