Harful Waaw ·

From Ad-Dawaawiinu s-Sitta · الدواوين الست by Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass

Wa-inna shifā’ī fī al-siqāmi wa-lā gharwā
Madīḥu ḥabībi Allāhi man lā lahu sharwā

Indeed, my healing in sickness—and no wonder—is the praise of the Beloved of Allah, who has no equal.

Nabiyyun atānā wa-huwa nūrun wa-kulluhu
Mina Allāhi burhānun wa-ti al-ghāyatu al-quṣwā

A Prophet who came to us as a light, and every part of him is a manifest proof from Allah; and that is the ultimate goal.

Fa-wajhuka burhānun wa-qalbuka mithluhu
Wa-‘aynun wa-sam‘un mithlu dhāka wa-lā gharwā

Your face is a proof, and your heart is like it; and the eye and hearing are likewise—and no wonder.

Lisānun shakūrun thumma rijlun wa-rāḥatun
Mina al-kulli āyun azrati al-manna wal-salwā

A grateful tongue, then a foot, and a palm; from each of them are signs that surpassed the "Manna and Quails."

Li-dhāka sarā nūran wa-wāfā bu‘ayda mā
Aḍā’a jamī‘a al-kā’ināti al-ḍiyā al-aqwā

For that, he journeyed as a light, and he arrived after the strongest radiance had illuminated all of existence.

‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Ṣalātan bihā nilnā mina al-Muṣṭafa al-ma’wā

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; a prayer through which we attained a refuge with the Chosen One.

‘Alayka ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Ṣalātan bihā fawqa al-farādīsi lī mathwā

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; a prayer through which my dwelling is above the paradises.

‘Alayka ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Ṣalātan bihā tujlā al-ḍalālāti wal-ahwā

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; a prayer through which misguidances and whims are cleared away.

‘Alayka ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Bi-hadhayni lam yudrik lanā mudrikun sha’wā

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; through these two (prayer and peace), no one can reach our goal.

‘Alayka ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
‘Ala al-Muṣṭafa al-mukhtāri man yarkabu al-Qaṣwā

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; upon the Chosen, the Selected, the one who rides al-Qaṣwā.

‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu
Wa-ālin wa-ṣaḥbin minhumu fāḍati al-aḍwā

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, and upon the family and companions from whom the lights overflowed.
