# Harfush Shiin · حَرْفُ الشِّينِ

**1.** شِفَائِي لِأَمْرَاضِي وَطِيبُ مَعَاشِـــي / بِذِكْــرِ الْمُقَفَّــــى وَهْـــوَ ذَلِكَ فَـــاشِ

_Shifā’ī li-amrāḍī wa-ṭību ma‘āshī / Bi-dhikri al-muqaffā wa-huwa dhālika fāshī_

My healing from my illnesses and the goodness of my life lie in the remembrance of the "Followed One"—and this is widely known.

**2.** فَمُسْتَنَـــدِي حَقًّـــــا إِمَامِـــي مُحَمَّــدٌ / وَذَاكَ مِجَنِّي مَا وَشَــى بِــيَ وَاشِ

_Fa-mustanadī ḥaqqan imāmī Muḥammadu / Wa-dhāka mijannī mā washā biya wāshī_

For my support in truth is my leader, Muhammad; he is my shield against whatever the slanderer may whisper.

**3.** سَعِدْتُ بِمَـــدْحِ الْـهَاشِمِـــيِّ مُحَمَّــدٍ / وَذَلِكَ حَرْثِي الدَّهْرَ وَهْوَ مَوَاشِـي

_Sa‘idtu bi-mad-ḥi al-Hāshimiyyi Muḥammadin / Wa-dhālika ḥarthī al-dahra wa-huwa mawāshī_

I have found happiness through the praise of the Hashemite, Muhammad; that is my lifelong cultivation and my wealth.

**4.** نَجَوْتُ مِنَ الْأَعْدَاءِ وَالشَّـــرِّ كُلِّــهِ / فَلَـــمْ أَرَ نَارًا خَـــــــــالِدًا بِغَــوَاشِ

_Najawtu mina al-a‘dā’i wal-shar-ri kullihi / Falam ara nāran khālidan bi-ghawāshī_

I have been saved from enemies and all evil; thus, I see no eternal fire with its covering [of punishment].

**5.** حَصَنْتُ بِذِكْرِ الْمُصْطَفَى النَّفْسَ ثُمَّ مَنْ / لَنَا يَنْتَمِـــي مِــــنْ سَاكِنِيــــنَ وَمَـــاشِ

_Ḥaṣantu bi-dhikri al-Muṣṭafā al-naf-sa thumma man / Lanā yantamī min sākinīna wa-māshī_

I have fortified, through the mention of the Chosen One, my own soul and whoever belongs to us, whether sedentary or traveling.

**6.** حَصَنْتُ بِهِ دِينِـــي وَدُنْيَــايَ ثُـــمَّ مَــنْ / تَفَــــــرَّعَ مِنِّــي فِـــي نَــوًى وَفِـــرَاشِ

_Ḥaṣantu bihi dīnī wa-dunyāya thumma man / Tafar-ra‘a minnī fī nawan wa-firāshī_

I have fortified through him my religion and my worldly life, as well as my descendants, whether near or far.

**7.** حَصَنْــتُ بِــــهِ بَيْـــتَ الْإِلَهِ وَمَا ثَــوَى / حَوَالَيْــــهِ مِـــنْ دُورٍ وَكُـــلِّ قُمَـــاشِ

_Ḥaṣantu bihi bayta al-ilāhi wa-mā thawā / Ḥawālayhi min dūrin wa-kulli qumāshī_

I have fortified through him the House of God (the Kaaba) and whatever resides around it of dwellings and all possessions.

**8.** حَصَنْتُ بِهِ حِزْبِــــي وَأَهْـــلَ مَوَدَّتِــي / وَكُلَّ فَتًــى يَأْتِــــي لَنَـــــا وَيُمَــاشِــي

_Ḥaṣantu bihi ḥizbī wa-ahla mawad-datī / Wa-kulla fatan ya’tī lanā wa-yumāshī_

I have fortified through him my group, the people of my love, and every youth who comes to us and walks with us.

**9.** عَلَيْـــــــــــهِ صَـــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / فَـــــإِنَّ مَدِيـــــحَ الْـهَاشِمِـــيِّ رِيَاشِـــي

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Fa-inna madīḥa al-Hāshimiyyi riyāshī_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace; for indeed, the praise of the Hashemite is my fine clothing and adornment.

**10.** عَلَيْهِ مَـــــعَ الْأَلِ الْكِـــرَامِ وَصَحْبِــهِ / صَلاَةً بِهَا دَهْرِي يَطِيـــــبُ مَعَاشِــي

_‘Alayhi ma‘a al-āli al-kirāmi wa-ṣaḥbihi / Ṣalātan bihā dahrī yaṭību ma‘āshī_

Upon him, along with the noble family and his companions; a prayer through which my life remains pleasant throughout time.
