# Harfus Siin · حَرْفُ السِّين

**1.** سَــلاَمٌ عَلَى طَــــهَ الْأَمِيـــنِ جَلِيسِــي / سَلاَمٌ عَلَى الْبَـــــدْرِ الْمُنِيـــرِ أَنِيسِــي

_Salāmun ‘alā Ṭāhā al-Amīni jalīsī / Salāmun ‘alā al-badri al-munīri anīsī_

Peace be upon Taha, the Trustworthy One, my companion, Peace be upon the illuminating full moon, my intimate friend.

**2.** سَلاَمٌ عَلَــى هَـــذَا النَّبِيِّ الرَّئِيــسِ / بِوَقْتِ قِيَامِي مِثْلَ وَقْتِ جُلُوسِـــي

_Salāmun ‘alā hādhā al-nabiyyi al-ra’īsī / Bi-waqti qiyāmī mithla waqti julūsī_

Peace be upon this presiding Prophet, in the time of my standing as in the time of my sitting.

**3.** سَلاَمٌ عَلَى الْمُزْدِي لِكُـــلِّ نُحُــوسِ / سَلاَمٌ عَلَى الْجَـــائِي بِكُـــلِِّ نَفِيــسِ

_Salāmun ‘alā al-muzdī li-kulli nuḥūsī / Salāmun ‘alā al-jā’ī bi-kulli nafīsī_

Peace be upon the one who drives away all ill-omens, Peace be upon the one who brought everything precious.

**4.** سَــلاَمٌ عَلَـى الْمُغْلِي لِكُــلِّ طُـرُوسِ / سَلاَمٌ عَلَى الْمُبْدِي بَهَــــاءَ نُقُــوسِ

_Salāmun ‘alā al-mughlī li-kulli ṭurūsī / Salāmun ‘alā al-mubdī bahā’a nuqūsī_

Peace be upon the one who gives value to every parchment, Peace be upon the one who manifests the beauty of the souls.

**5.** سَــلاَمٌ عَلَـى الْغَــازِي بِكُـلِّ خَمِيـسِ / سَلاَمٌ عَلَـــــى الْمُفْـــدَى بِكُلِّ نُفُــوسِ

_Salāmun ‘alā al-ghāzī bi-kulli khamīsī / Salāmun ‘alā al-mufdā bi-kulli nufūsī_

Peace be upon the one who raids with every five-fold army, Peace be upon the one for whom every soul would be sacrificed.

**6.** سَلاَمٌ عَلَى تَــــــاجٍ لِكُـــلِّ عَــرُوسِ / سَلاَمٌ عَلَى الشَّــافِي فَقَـــطْ بِمَسِيــسِ

_Salāmun ‘alā tājin li-kulli ‘arūsī / Salāmun ‘alā al-shāfī faqaṭ bi-masīsī_

Peace be upon the crown for every bride, Peace be upon the healer [who heals] with just a touch.

**7.** سَلاَمٌ عَلَى تُرْبِي وَأَرْضِ غُرُوسِي / سَلاَمٌ عَلَى غَرْسِي وَبِيــرِ أَرِيسِـي

_Salāmun ‘alā turbī wa-arḍi ghurūsī / Salāmun ‘alā gharsī wa-bīri Arīsī_

Peace be upon my soil and the land of my plantings, Peace be upon my plants and the Well of Aris.

**8.** سَلاَمٌ عَلَى الدَّارِي بِــــدُونِ دُرُوسِ / سَلاَمٌ عَلَى الْمُعْطِي بِــدُونِ مَقِيــسِ

_Salāmun ‘alā al-dārī bidūni durūsī / Salāmun ‘alā al-mu‘ṭī bidūni maqīsī_

Peace be upon the one who knows without having studied, Peace be upon the one who gives without measure.

**9.** عَلَيْــــهِ صَــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / وَآلٍ وَصَحْبٍ هُمْ رُؤُوسُ رُؤُوسِ

_‘Alayhi ṣalātu Allāhi thumma salāmuhu / Wa-ālin wa-ṣaḥbin hum ru’ūsu ru’ūsī_

Upon him be the prayer of Allah and then His peace, and upon the family and companions—they are the leaders of leaders.
