# Harful Faa · حَرْفُ الْفَاءِ

**1.** لَقَدْ عَادَنِي شَـــوْقٌ لِأَحْمَــدَ مُدْنِــفُ / فَشَوْقِي لِخَيْرِ النَّاسِ شَوْقٌ مُضَعَّفُ

_Laqad ‘ādani shawqun li-Aḥmada mudnifu / Fa-shawqī li-khayri al-nāsi shawqun muḍa‘‘afu_

An emaciating longing for Ahmad has returned to me; my yearning for the best of mankind is a doubled yearning.

**2.** وَلِمْ لاَ وَخَيْــــرُ النَّاسِ أَكْبَــرُ وَاهِــبٍ / وَأَحْسَنُ مَنْ يَمْشِي وَأَفْضَلُ مَنْ يَصْفُو

_Wa-lim lā wa-khayru al-nāsi akbaru wāhibin / Wa-aḥsanu man yamshī wa-afḍalu man yaṣfū_

And why not, when the best of mankind is the greatest giver, the finest to walk the earth, and the best to achieve purity.

**3.** رَسُــــولٌ مِــنَ اللّٰهِ الْمُهَيْمِنِ عَبْــدُهُ / وَذَا وَأَبِــي أَعْلَـى مَقَــامٍ وَأَشْـرَفُ

_Rasūlun mina Allāhi al-Muhaymini ‘abduhu / Wa-dhā wa-abī a‘lā maqāmin wa-ashrafu_

A Messenger from Allah, the All-Dominant, His servant; and this, by my father, is the highest and noblest station.

**4.** أَتَانَا وَحَسْبُ الْعَالَمِيـــنَ مَجِيئُــهُ / فَأَحْمَدُ بَحْرُ الْجُودِ وَالْكُلُّ يَغْـرِفُ

_Atānā wa-ḥasbu al-‘ālamīna majī’uhu / Fa-Aḥmadu baḥ-ru al-jūdi wal-kullu yagh-rifu_

He came to us, and his coming alone is sufficient for the worlds; for Ahmad is the ocean of generosity from which everyone scoops.

**5.** فَالْإِيجَــادُ وَالْإِمْــدَادُ لِلْكَــوْنِ مَكْسَــبٌ / مِنَ الْمُصْطَفَى فَلْتَعْرِفُوا الْأَصْلَ فَاعْرِفُوا

_Fal-ījādu wal-imdādu lil-kawni mak-sabun / Mina al-Muṣṭafā fal-ta‘rifū al-aṣla fa-’rifū_

Existence and spiritual support for the universe are a gain from the Chosen One; so know the Origin, and truly recognize it!

**6.** صَـــلاَةٌ وَتَسْلِيـــــــمٌ مِــــنَ اللّٰهِ دَائِمًـــا / عَلَى الْمُصْطَفَى مَنْ حِبُّهُ الدَّهْرَ يَشْرُفُ

_Ṣalātun wa-taslīmun mina Allāhi dā’iman / ‘Alā al-Muṣṭafā man ḥibbuhu al-dahra yash-rufu_

May prayer and peace from Allah be forever upon the Chosen One, whose lover is honored throughout all time.
