# Harful Yaa · حَرْفُ الْيَاءِ

**1.** إِنَّ لِي فَرْحَـــةً بِــذِكْـــرِ نَبِــيِّ / حُبُّهُ صَارَ ظَاهِــرِي وَخَفِيِّــي

_Inna lī far-ḥatan bi-dhik-ri nabiyyī / Ḥubbuhu ṣāra ẓāhirī wa-khafiyyī_

I have a profound joy in the mention of my Prophet; his love has become my manifest and my hidden reality.

**2.** إِنَّــهُ بُغْيَتِــــي وَمُنْيَــةُ قَلْبِــي / وَخَفِيرِي وَجُعْبَتِي وَعِصِيِّـي

_Innahu bugh-yatī wa-mun-yatu qalbī / Wa-khafīrī wa-ju‘batī wa-‘iṣiyyī_

He is my quest and the desire of my heart; my protector, my quiver, and my staff.

**3.** وَهْــوَ خِلِّي حَقًّا وَجَنَّةُ خُلْـــدِي / وَأَمِينِــي وَمَلْجَــــإِي وَصَفِيِّــي

_Wa-huwa khillī ḥaqqan wa-jannatu khuldī / Wa-amīnī wa-malja’ī wa-ṣafiyyī_

He is truly my intimate friend and my paradise of eternity; my trustworthy one, my refuge, and my pure elite.

**4.** وَهْوَ كَنْزِي وَذُخْرَتِي وَمَــلاَذِي / وَهْوَ عُمْرِي مُسْتَقْبَلِي وَمُضِيِّي

_Wa-huwa kanzī wa-dhukhratī wa-malādhī / Wa-huwa ‘um-rī mus-taqbalī wa-muḍiyyī_

He is my treasure, my storehouse, and my sanctuary; he is my life—my future and my past.

**5.** فَيَقِينِي دَهْــــرِي يَقِينِــي يَقِينًــا / لَسْتُ أَخْشَى قِلًى حَيَاةَ الْخَلِيِّ

_Fa-yaqīnī dahrī yaqīnī yaqīnan / Lastu akh-shā qilan ḥayāta al-khaliyyī_

My certainty throughout time protects me with absolute certainty; I do not fear the abandonment of a life of loneliness.

**6.** لاِنْتِصَارِي بِالْمُصْطَفَى فِي حَيَاتِي / وَهْــــوَ كَهْفِــي وَمُنْقِــذِي وَوَلِـيِّـي

_Li-ntiṣārī bil-Muṣ-ṭafā fī ḥayātī / Wa-huwa kah-fī wa-munqidhī wa-waliyyī_

For my victory is through the Chosen One in my life; he is my cave, my rescuer, and my guardian.

**7.** حَسْبِـــيَ اللّٰهُ وَالْأَمِيــــنُ وَلِيًّــــا / وَكَفَى بِالْخِلِّ الصَّــدُوقِ الْوَفِـيِّ

_Ḥasbiya Allāhu wal-Amīnu waliyyan / Wa-kafā bil-khilli al-ṣadūqi al-wafiyyī_

Allah is sufficient for me, and the Trustworthy One is my guardian; sufficient is the truthful and loyal friend.

**8.** لَسْتُ أَخْشَى كَيْدَ الزَّمَانِ وَلاَ مَكْـ / ــرَ الْأَعَـــادِي وَلاَ بَــذَاءَ الْبَـذِيِّ

_Lastu akh-shā kayda al-zamāni wa-lā mak- / ra al-a‘ādī wa-lā badhā’a al-badhiyyī_

I do not fear the plots of time, nor the schemes of enemies, nor the obscenity of the foul-mouthed.

**9.** وَعَلَيْــــــهِ مِـــنَ الْإِلَـــهِ صَــلاَةٌ / وَسَــــلاَمٌ دَوَامَ فَضْـــــلِ النَّبِــيِّ

_Wa-‘alayhi mina al-ilāhi ṣalātun / Wa-salāmun dawāma faḍ-li al-nabiyyī_

Upon him be prayer from the God, and peace, as lasting as the bounty of the Prophet.
