**1.** زِمَامِـي بِكَفَّيْ خَاتِمِ الرُّسْلِ نَاصِــرِي / مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَــادِي الْوَرَى ذِي الْبَصَائِــرِ

_Zimāmī bi-kaffay khātami-r rusli nāṣirī / Muḥammadini-l hādī-l warā dhī-l baṣā’iri_

My reins are in the hands of the Seal of the Messengers, my helper, Muhammad, the one who guides creation, the possessor of deep insights.

**2.** وَأَحْمَــــــدُ طَـــهَ عَاقِـــــبٌ وَمُحَمَّــدٌ / بَشِيرٌ نَذِيــرٌ مُصْطَفَى الْكَوْنِ حَاشِرِي

_Wa Aḥmadu Ṭāhā ʿāqibun wa Muḥammadun / bashīrun nadhīrun muṣṭafā-l kawni ḥāshirī_

He is Ahmad, Taha, the Final Successor, and Muhammad, a bringer of glad tidings, a warner, the chosen of the universe, and my gatherer.

**3.** شَفِيـعُ الْوَرَى مَاحِي الضَّلاَلِ مُبَشِّــرُ / الْعِبَــادِ وَمَحْمُودُ الْمَقَــامِ مُــؤَازِرِي

_Shafīʿu-l warā māḥī-ḍ ḍalāli mubashshiru-l / ʿibādi wa maḥmūdu-l maqāmi mu’āzirī_

The intercessor of mankind, the eraser of misguidance, the one who gives glad tidings to the servants, of the Praised Station, and my supporter.

**4.** فَـيَشْفَــعُ فِيمَـــا قَــدْ جَنَيْـــتُ مُشَفَّعًــا / فَكُنْ لِي شَفِيعًا فِي حَيَاتِي وَآخِــرِي

_Fa-yashfaʿu fīmā qad janaytu mushaffaʿan / fa-kun lī shafīʿan fī ḥayātī wa ākhirī_

He intercedes for the sins I have committed as an accepted intercessor, so be for me an intercessor in my life and my end.

**5.** صَفَا لِيَ وَقْتِــــي إِذْ خَلَوْتُ لِذِكْــرِهِ / بِكَوْلَخَ وَهْنًـــا نَـــامَ كُلُّ مُجَــاوِرِي

_Ṣafā liya waqtī idh khalawtu li-dhikrihi / bi-Kawlakha wahnan nāma kullu mujāwirī_

My time became pure when I went into seclusion for his remembrance in Kaolack late at night while all my neighbors slept.

**6.** طَــوَى لِيَ مَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ حَبِيبِــهِ / بِسِـرٍّ مِنَ الْأَسْرَارِ حَقَّقَ خَاطِـرِي

_Ṭawā liya mā baynī wa bayna ḥabībihi / bi-sirrin mina-l asrāri ḥaqqaqa khāṭirī_

He folded for me the distance between me and his beloved through a secret among secrets that realized my inner thoughts.

**7.** فَجَاوَرْتُ طَــهَ الْهَاشِمِيِّ بِكَوْلَـــخٍ / وَقَدْ حَسَبُونِي فِي جِوَارِ الْكَوَافِــرِ

_Fa-jāwartu Ṭāhā-l hāshimiyyi bi-Kawlakha / wa qad ḥasabūnī fī jiwāri-l kawāfiri_

So I became a neighbor to Taha the Hashemite in Kaolack, though they thought I was in the neighborhood of disbelievers.

**8.** جِـــوَارٌ بِــهِ رَدَّ الْإِلَــهُ مَخَافَتِـــي / وَكَيْدَ الْعِــدَى إِذْ جَاءَنِي بِالْبَشَائِرِ

_Jiwārun bihi radda-l ilāhu makhāfatī / wa kayda-l ʿidā idh jā’anī bi-l bashā’iri_

A neighborhood through which God repelled my fear and the plot of enemies when He brought me glad tidings.

**9.** بِسِرٍّ سَرَى مِنْ حَضْرَةِ الْقُدْسِ قَادَنِي / وَأَعْدَمَ مَوْجُودِي وَأَصْفَى سَرَائِرِي

_Bi-sirrin sarā min ḥaḍrati-l qudsi qādanī / wa aʿdama mawjūdī wa aṣfā sarā’irī_

Through a secret that traveled from the Holy Presence, it led me, annihilated my existence, and purified my innermost self.

**10.** بِيُمْــــــنِ الْإِمَـــامِ الْهَاشِمِيِّ وَذِكْــرِهِ / وَهُو عُمْدَتِي فِي كُلِّ بَدْوٍ وَحَاضِرِي

_Bi-yumni-l imāmi-l hāshimiyyi wa dhikrihi / wa hu ʿumdatī fī kulli badwin wa ḥāḍirī_

Through the blessing of the Hashemite Imam and his remembrance, and he is my support in every desert and settled place.

**11.** فَمَــنْ حَارَبَ الْعَبْدَ الْحَقِيـــــرَ فَرَبُّنَــا / يُبَشِّــــــرُهُ بِالْوَيْــــــلِ أَوْ بِالْخَسَائِــــرِ

_Fa-man ḥāraba-l ʿabda-l ḥaqīra fa-rabbunā / yubashshiruhu bi-l wayli aw bi-l khasā’iri_

Whoever fights this humble servant, then our Lord promises him woe or utter ruin.

**12.** فَسَائِــلْ أَبَــا جَهْلٍ وَفِرْعَـــوْنَ قَبْلَــهُ / وَنَمْــرُوذَ قَدْ حَازُوا جَمِيعَ الذَّخَائِـــرِ

_Fa-sā’il Abā Jahlin wa Firʿawna qablahu / wa Namrūdha qad ḥāzū jamīʿa-dh dhakhā’iri_

Ask Abu Jahl and Pharaoh before him, and Nimrod, who had once possessed all treasures.

**13.** طَغَوْا وَعَتَــوْا عِنْدَ الْبِـلاَدِ فَأُهْلِكُــوا / بِأَنْــوَاعِ خِزْيٍ وَفْـقَ تِلْـــكَ الْكَبَائِــرِ

_Ṭaghaw wa ʿataw ʿinda-l bilādi fa-uhlikū / bi-anwāʿi khizyin wafqa tilka-l kabā’iri_

They transgressed and acted arrogantly in the lands, so they were destroyed with types of disgrace matching those great sins.

**14.** وَتِي سُنَّةُ اللّٰهِ الْجَلِيلِ فَلَــنْ تَــــرَى / تَبَدُّلَهَــا فِي الْخَلْــقِ دَهْرَ الدَّهَــارِرِ

_Wa tī sunnatu-llāhi-l jalīli fa-lan tarā / tabaddulahā fī-l khalqi dahra-d dahāriri_

This is the way of Allah the Majestic, and you shall never see its change among creation throughout the ages.

**15.** عَلَيْــــهِ صَـــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / فَتَقْضِي مُــرَادِي فِي خَفِـيٍّ وَظَاهِرِ

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / fa-taqḍī murādī fī khafiyyin wa ẓāhiri_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace, may they fulfill my desire in what is hidden and what is manifest.

**16.** عَلَيْــــــهِ صَـــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / يَكُونُ حَبِيبِي قَائِدِي وَهْوَ جَابِـرِي

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / yakūnu ḥabībī qā’idī wa huwa jābirī_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace, may he be my beloved, my leader, and the one who mends my affairs.

**17.** عَلَيْـــــهِ صَـــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / وَتَرْفَعُ شَأْنِي قِي السِّنِينَ الْغَوَابِرِ

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / wa tarfaʿu sha’nī fī-s sinīni-l ghawābiri_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace, may they elevate my status in the years to come.

**18.** عَلَيْــــــهِ صَــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / مَعَ الْآلِ وَالصَّحْبِ السَّرَاةِ الْأَكَابِــرِ

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / maʿa-l āli wa-ṣ ṣaḥbi-s sarāti-l akābiri_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace, along with the Family and the noble, great Companions.
