Harful 'Ayn ·

From Ad-Dawaawiinu s-Sitta · الدواوين الست by Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass

ʿAlā Ṭaybatin dāri-l ḥabībi riyāḍu
jinānin fa-li-l aqṭābi fīhi ḥiyāḍu

Upon Tayba, the abode of the Beloved, are gardens of paradise; for the spiritual poles, there are watering pools within it.

Yuqaddisu fīhi-l ʿabdu wa huwa muqarrabun
li-rabbi-l barāyā wa-l ʿulūmu tufāḍu

In it, the servant is sanctified while being brought near to the Lord of all creation, and sciences overflow.

Fa-yaghbiṭu amlāku-l majīdi maqāma man
bi-baḥrin mina-l anwāri fīhi riyāḍu

The angels of the Glorious One envy the station of the one who is in a sea of lights containing lush meadows.

Fa-rawḍun arīḍun ḥaḍratun qudusiyyatun
tashabbah bi-qawmin qad ghashawhu wa khāḍū

It is a fragrant garden and a holy presence; emulate the people who have covered it and waded into its depths.

Fa-mā ladhdha ʿayshī fī rubūʿi siwā’ihi
wa qad ḥāla bīdun wa hiya jayri ʿirāḍu

My life has no sweetness in any dwellings other than his, even though vast deserts and wide lands stand in the way.

ʿAlā sākinī Salʿin salāmun mukarrarun
tuzakkā bihi nafsī ajal wa turāḍu

Upon the dwellers of Sal' be repeated peace, by which my soul is purified indeed and disciplined.

ʿAlayhi maʿa-l āli-l kirāmi wa ṣaḥbihi
li-ṣuḥfī wa wajhī min sanāhu bayāḍu

Upon him, along with the noble Family and his Companions, may there be a whiteness for my scrolls and my face from his radiance.
