Harfud Dwaad · حَرْفُ الضَّاد

ضَعِيفٌ ذَلِيلٌ فَاقِدُ الْحَــوْلِ جَــاوَزَا
حُدُودًا لِجَبَّارِ السَّمَـــــاءِ وَبَــارَزَا

Ḍaʿīfun dhalīlun fāqidu-l ḥawli jāwazā
ḥudūdan li-jabbāri-s samā’i wa bārazā

A weak and humiliated one, lacking all power, has transgressed the bounds of the Compeller of Heaven and come forth to challenge.

نَهَى النَّاسَ عَنْ مَدْحِ النَّبِيِّ وَذِكْـرِهِ
إِلَيْكَ تَضَرَّعْنَا لِتُخْــــزِي الْمُبَــارِزَا

Nahā-n nāsa ʿan madḥi-n nabiyyi wa dhikrihi
ilayka taḍarraʿnā li-tukhziya-l mubārizā

He forbade the people from the praise of the Prophet and his remembrance; to You we supplicate that You may disgrace the challenger.

بِبَغْــيٍ وَعُدْوَانٍ نَهَى كُــــلَّ مُسْلِــمٍ
تَجَمُّعَهُـــــمْ إِلاَّ لِلَهْـــــوٍ فَبَـــــــارِزَا

Bi-baghyin wa ʿudwānin nahā kulla muslimin
tajammuʿahum illā li-lahwin fa-bārazā

With oppression and enmity, he forbade every Muslim from gathering, except for idle play, thus he came forth to challenge.

تَوَلَّ جَنَابِي وَاحْــــمِ كُـــلَّ أَحِبَّتِــي
وَأَهْلِكْ عِدًا جَابُوا إِلَيْنَا الْمَفَــاوِزَا

Tawalla janābī wa-ḥmi kulla aḥibbatī
wa ahlik ʿidan jābū ilaynā-l mafāwizā

Take charge of my side and protect all my beloveds, and destroy the enemies who have crossed the wildernesses toward us.

عَلَى أَحْمَدَ الْمُخْتَارِ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّــهِ
صَلاَةٌ وَتَسْلِيمٌ تُنِيـــــلُ الْجَوَائِــزَا

ʿAlā Aḥmada-l mukhtāri min ʿindi rabbihi
ṣalātun wa taslīmun tunīlu-l jawā’izā

Upon Ahmad, the Chosen one from his Lord, be blessings and peace that grant the prizes of success.

عَلَيْهِ صَــــــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ
تُقَوِّي لَنَا ضِدَّ الْبُغَــــاةِ الْمَرَاكِــزَا

ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu
tuqawwī lanā ḍidda-l bughāti-l marākizā

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace, strengthening our centers against the transgressors.

عَلَيْهِ مَعَ الْآلِ الْكِــــرَامِ وَصَحْبِهِ
أَمَوْلاَيَ حَقًّا بَارِزَنْ ثُــــمَّ نَاجِــزَا

ʿAlayhi maʿa-l āli-l kirāmi wa ṣaḥbihi
a-mawlāya ḥaqqan bārizan thumma nājizā

Upon him, along with the noble Family and his Companions; O my Master, truly appear and then settle the matter.
