# Harfud Dwaad · حَرْفُ الضَّاد

**1.** ضَعِيفٌ ذَلِيلٌ فَاقِدُ الْحَــوْلِ جَــاوَزَا / حُدُودًا لِجَبَّارِ السَّمَـــــاءِ وَبَــارَزَا

_Ḍaʿīfun dhalīlun fāqidu-l ḥawli jāwazā / ḥudūdan li-jabbāri-s samā’i wa bārazā_

A weak and humiliated one, lacking all power, has transgressed the bounds of the Compeller of Heaven and come forth to challenge.

**2.** نَهَى النَّاسَ عَنْ مَدْحِ النَّبِيِّ وَذِكْـرِهِ / إِلَيْكَ تَضَرَّعْنَا لِتُخْــــزِي الْمُبَــارِزَا

_Nahā-n nāsa ʿan madḥi-n nabiyyi wa dhikrihi / ilayka taḍarraʿnā li-tukhziya-l mubārizā_

He forbade the people from the praise of the Prophet and his remembrance; to You we supplicate that You may disgrace the challenger.

**3.** بِبَغْــيٍ وَعُدْوَانٍ نَهَى كُــــلَّ مُسْلِــمٍ / تَجَمُّعَهُـــــمْ إِلاَّ لِلَهْـــــوٍ فَبَـــــــارِزَا

_Bi-baghyin wa ʿudwānin nahā kulla muslimin / tajammuʿahum illā li-lahwin fa-bārazā_

With oppression and enmity, he forbade every Muslim from gathering, except for idle play, thus he came forth to challenge.

**4.** تَوَلَّ جَنَابِي وَاحْــــمِ كُـــلَّ أَحِبَّتِــي / وَأَهْلِكْ عِدًا جَابُوا إِلَيْنَا الْمَفَــاوِزَا

_Tawalla janābī wa-ḥmi kulla aḥibbatī / wa ahlik ʿidan jābū ilaynā-l mafāwizā_

Take charge of my side and protect all my beloveds, and destroy the enemies who have crossed the wildernesses toward us.

**5.** عَلَى أَحْمَدَ الْمُخْتَارِ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّــهِ / صَلاَةٌ وَتَسْلِيمٌ تُنِيـــــلُ الْجَوَائِــزَا

_ʿAlā Aḥmada-l mukhtāri min ʿindi rabbihi / ṣalātun wa taslīmun tunīlu-l jawā’izā_

Upon Ahmad, the Chosen one from his Lord, be blessings and peace that grant the prizes of success.

**6.** عَلَيْهِ صَــــــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / تُقَوِّي لَنَا ضِدَّ الْبُغَــــاةِ الْمَرَاكِــزَا

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / tuqawwī lanā ḍidda-l bughāti-l marākizā_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace, strengthening our centers against the transgressors.

**7.** عَلَيْهِ مَعَ الْآلِ الْكِــــرَامِ وَصَحْبِهِ / أَمَوْلاَيَ حَقًّا بَارِزَنْ ثُــــمَّ نَاجِــزَا

_ʿAlayhi maʿa-l āli-l kirāmi wa ṣaḥbihi / a-mawlāya ḥaqqan bārizan thumma nājizā_

Upon him, along with the noble Family and his Companions; O my Master, truly appear and then settle the matter.
