Harfuth Thaa ·
From Ad-Dawaawiinu s-Sitta · الدواوين الست by Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass
Thimālu-l barāyā Aḥmadun ḥubbuhu farḍu
shuyūkhu-l hudā awṣaw ʿalā dhā wa qad ḥaḍḍū
The support of all creation is Ahmad, whose love is an obligation; the Shaykhs of guidance have commanded this and urged it.
Fa-mā saʿida-l māḍūna illā bi-ḥubbihi
bihi saʿida-s sūdānu wa-l ḥumru wa-l bīḍu
Those of the past did not find happiness except through his love; through him the black, the red, and the white people found joy.
Fa-dāʿī surūrī an bulītu bi-ḥubbihi
wa zāda widādī qabla an yukhlaqa-l fayḍu
The cause of my happiness is that I was tested with his love, and my affection increased before the overflow of existence was even created.
Fa-fāḍa wa sāqānī wa sāqā aḥibbatī
wa ghayruhum fī ghullatin ʿammahum qabḍu
So it overflowed and gave me drink, and gave drink to my beloveds, while others remained in thirst, overtaken by spiritual constriction.
Fa-in nāfasū aw fākharū fa-fakhārunā
widādu ḥabībin madḥuhu-n naflu wa-l farḍu
If they compete or boast, then our boast is the affection of a beloved whose praise is both the supererogatory and the obligatory.
Muḥammadu khayru-l ʿālamīna wasīlatī
aʿīshu bi-madḥī wa huwa liy al-naqdu wa-l ʿarḍu
Muhammad, the best of the worlds, is my means; I live by my praise, and he is to me my capital and my display.
Muḥammadu khayru-l ʿālamīna wasīlatī
aʿīshu bi-madḥī wa huwa liy al-naqdu wa-l ʿarḍu
Muhammad, the best of the worlds, is my means; I live by my praise, and he is to me my capital and my display.
ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu
ilayhi-ltijā’ī wa huwa liy al-ḥiṣnu in ʿaḍḍū
Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; to him is my refuge, and he is my fortress if the enemies bite.
ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu
bihi fāqa aqṭāba-l bariyyati liy al-bayḍu
Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; through him, my white ones (pure states) surpassed the spiritual poles of creation.
ʿAlayhi maʿa-l āli-l kirāmi wa ṣaḥbihi
juyūshu-l ʿidā bi-l hāshimiyyi-l laythi qad fuḍḍū
Upon him, along with the noble Family and his Companions; the armies of the enemies were dispersed by the Hashemite lion.
