# Harfuz Zwaa · حَرْفُ الظَّاء

**1.** ظَمَائِي بِخَيْرِ الْهَاشِمِي الدَّهْرَ لَنْ يُرْوَى / وَقَدْ لَذَّ ذِكْـــــــرَاهُ لَكَالْمَـــنِّ وَالسَّلْــوَى

_Ẓamā’ī bi-khayri-l hāshimiyyi-d dahra lan yurwā / wa qad ladhdha dhikrāhu ka-l manni wa-s salwā_

My thirst for the best of the Hashemites will never be quenched throughout time, for his remembrance has become sweet like manna and quails.

**2.** ذَرِينِيَ دَعْــــدًا إِنَّ قَلْبِيَ لَـــنْ يَهْـــوَى / سِوَى أَحْمَدٍ مَاحِي الضَّلاَلاَتِ وَالْبَلْوَى

_Dharīniya Daʿdan inna qalbī lan yahwā / siwā Aḥmada māḥī-ḍ ḍalālāti wa-l balwā_

Leave me, O Da'd, for my heart shall never love anyone except Ahmad, the eraser of misguidances and trials.

**3.** ظَلَمْتُ إِذَا كَابَــــدْتُ حُـــبَّ سِوَائِــهِ / وَطَـــهَ حَبَانِي نِلْتُ غَايَتِيَ الْقُصْوَى

_Ẓalamtu idhā kābadtu ḥubba siwā’ihi / wa Ṭāhā ḥabānī niltu ghāyatiya-l quṣwā_

I would be unjust if I endured the love of any other, while Taha has gifted me and I have attained my ultimate goal.

**4.** وَهُو خَيْرُ خَلْقِ اللّٰهِ خُلْقًــا وَخِلْقَـــةً / لِوَا الْحَمْدِ فِي كَفَّيْهِ أَيْنَ لَهُ شَــرْوَى

_Wa hu khayru khalqi-llāhi khulqan wa khilqatan / liwā-l ḥamdi fī kaffayhi ayna lahu sharwā_

He is the best of Allah’s creation in character and form; the Banner of Praise is in his hands, where is his equal?

**5.** تَحَدَّيْتُ بِالْهَادِي الْعِبَــــادَ فَمَـــنْ لَــهُ / رَسُولٌ كَمِثْلِ الْهَاشِمِيِّ أَبِي الْأَضْـوَا

_Taḥaddaytu bi-l hādī-l ʿibāda fa-man lahu / rasūlun ka-mithli-l hāshimiyyi abī-l aḍwā_

Through the Guide, I challenged all servants: who has a Messenger like the Hashemite, the father of lights?

**6.** أَبِي الْقَاسِــــمِ الْمَنْصُــــورِ بِاللّٰهِ وَحْــدَهُ / شَفِيعِي وَمَأْمُونِي الْمَكِي رَاكِبِ الْقَصْوَا

_Abī-l Qāsimi-l manṣūri bi-llāhi waḥdahu / shafīʿī wa ma’mūnī-l makkī rākibi-l Qaṣwā_

The father of Qasim, the one aided by Allah alone, my intercessor, my trusted one, the Meccan, the rider of al-Qaswa.

**7.** عَلَيْــــهِ صَــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / صَلاَةً تَقِينَا الْبَأْسَ وَالضُّـــرَّ وَاللَّأْوَا

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / ṣalātan taqīnā-l ba’sa wa-ḍ ḍurra wa-l la’wā_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; a blessing that protects us from hardship, harm, and distress.

**8.** عَلَيْـــــــهِ صَـــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / تَقِينَا جَمِيعَ الشَّرِّ وَالْبَغْـــيَ وَاللَّغْــوَا

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / taqīnā jamīʿa-sh sharri wa-l baghya wa-l laghwā_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; protecting us from all evil, oppression, and idle talk.

**9.** عَلَيْـــــهِ صَـــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / تُنِيلُ الْمُنَى لِلْعَبْدِ وَالْتَكْفِهِ الْبَلْـــوَى

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / tunīlu-l munā li-l ʿabdi wa-l takfihi-l balwā_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; granting the servant his desires and sufficing him against trials.

**10.** عَلَيْـــــــهِ صَــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / تُسَخِّرُ لِي دَهْرِي وَتَحْفَظُ لِي الْمَثْوَى

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / tusakhkhiru lī dahrī wa taḥfaẓu lī-l mathwā_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; making time subservient to me and preserving my final abode.

**11.** عَلَيْــهِ مَــعَ الْآلِ الْكِــــرَامِ وَصَحْبِــهِ / وَمَنْ سَلَكُوا نَهْجَ الْأَمِينِ وَمَنْ يَهْوَى

_ʿAlayhi maʿa-l āli-l kirāmi wa ṣaḥbihi / wa man salakū nahja-l amīni wa man yahwā_

Upon him, along with the noble Family and his Companions, and whoever follows the path of the Trustworthy one and whoever loves him.
