# Harful Ghayn · حَرْفُ الْغَيْن

**1.** غَنَائِــمُ بِـــرٍّ أَقْبَلَـــــــتْ فَلْتُـبَالِغُـوا / بِأَعْدَادِ إِخْلاَصٍ تُصِبْكُـــمْ سَوَابِــغُ

_Ghanā’imu birrin aqbalat faltubālighū / bi-aʿdādi ikhlāṣin tuṣibkum sawābighū_

Spoils of righteousness have approached, so exert yourselves in sincere devotion that abundant blessings may reach you.

**2.** سَـــوَابِغُ آلاَءٍ بِبَطْـــنٍ وَظَاهِــــرٍ / وَيُتْحِفُهَا بَـــرٌّ رَؤُوفٌ وَبَالِـــــغُ

_Sawābighu ālā’in bi-baṭnin wa ẓāhirin / wa yuthifu-hā barrun ra’ūfun wa bālighu_

Abundant favors, both inward and outward, bestowed as gifts by the All-Kind, Merciful, and Supreme.

**3.** بِيُمْــنِ حَبِيبِي خَاتِمِ الرُّسْلِ نَاصِرِي / مُحَمَّدُ فِي مَحْوِ الضَّلاَلِ الْمُبَالِــــــغُ

_Bi-yumni ḥabībī khātami-r rusli nāṣirī / Muḥammadu fī maḥwi-ḍ ḍalāli-l mubālighu_

By the blessing of my beloved, the Seal of the Messengers, my helper, Muhammad, who excels in erasing misguidance.

**4.** مُوَطِّدُ هَـــذَا الدِّيـنِ بِالْعَزْمِ وَالتُّقَــــى / وَقَدْ أَشْرَقَ الْأَرْجَا وَضَاءَ الْبَوَازِغُ

_Muwaṭṭidu hādhā-d dīni bi-l ʿazmi wa-t tuqā / wa qad ashraqa-l arjā wa ḍā’a-l bawāzighu_

The one who consolidated this religion with resolve and piety, as the horizons shone and the rising stars gave light.

**5.** يُسَــاعِــــدُهُ رَبُّ الْعِبَــادِ وَإِنَّـــهُ / كَرِيمٌ وَهُوبٌ بَذْلُهُ الدَّهْرَ سَائِـــغُ

_Yusāʿiduhu rabbu-l ʿibādi wa innahu / karīmun wahūbun badhluhu-d dahra sā’ighu_

The Lord of the servants aids him, for He is Generous, a Bestower whose giving is always pleasant and easy.

**6.** يُؤَيِّـــدُهُ رَبُّ الْعِبَــــــــادِ وَإِنَّـــــهُ / لَثَبْــتُ جَنَــــانٍ لِلْأَبَاطِيـــلِ دَامِــغُ

_Yu’ayyiduhu rabbu-l ʿibādi wa innahu / la-thabtu janānin li-l abāṭīli dāmighu_

The Lord of the servants supports him, and indeed he is firm of heart, crushing all falsehoods.

**7.** عَلَيْــــهِ صَـــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُـــمَّ سَلاَمُــهُ / أَتَاكَ كَئِيبٌ قَلْبُــــهُ الْيَـــوْمَ فَــارِغُ

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / atāka ka’ībun qalbuhu-l yawma fārighu_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; a sorrowful one has come to you whose heart today is empty of all else.

**8.** عَلَيْــــــــهِ صَــــلاَةُ اللّٰهِ ثُــــمَّ سَلاَمُـــهُ / وَهَلْ كَالْمُجَلِّي أَعْرَجٌ وَهْـــوَ صَالِـــغُ

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / wa hal ka-l mujallī aʿrajun wa huwa ṣālighu_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; for can a lame one be like the foremost winner who has reached full strength?

**9.** عَلَيْهِ مَــــعَ الْآلِ الْكِرَامِ وَصَحْبِـــهِ / وَمَنْ تَابَعُوا نَهْجَ الْأَمِينِ وَبَالَغُـــوا

_ʿAlayhi maʿa-l āli-l kirāmi wa ṣaḥbihi / wa man tābaʿū nahja-l amīni wa bālaghū_

Upon him, along with the noble Family and his Companions, and those who followed the path of the Trustworthy one and excelled.
