From [Ad-Dawaawiinu s-Sitta · الدواوين الست](https://qasaaid.zayfir.app/app/qasaaid/691f292bc02b144934a4ec1f) by [Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass](https://qasaaid.zayfir.app/app/authors/69172463686829cc1d041df5)

_Balā inna hadhī arḍu Ṭāhā Muḥammadu / fa-dhāka ʿAqīqun dhāka Salʿun wa Gharqadu_

Yes indeed, this is the land of Taha Muhammad; that is al-Aqiq, that is Sal' and al-Gharqad.

_Wa dhā Uḥudun hadhā Qubā’un wa bayna dhā / wa dhāka marādu-l munḥaminnā Muḥammadu_

That is Uhud, this is Quba, and between this and that is the desired place of our Bestower, Muhammad.

_Wa dhālika Baṭḥānun wa hādhāka khandaqun / bihi farra Ṣakhrun kāna qablu yuhaddidu_

That is Bathān, and there is the Trench (Khandaq), where Sakhr (Abu Sufyan) fled after he used to threaten.

_Bihi hazama-l jaysha-l ʿaramrama baʿdamā / tayaqqana jahlan an sayuʿlā wa yunjadu_

In it, he defeated the massive army after it had ignorantly believed it would prevail and be aided.

_Wa qad rajaʿa-l manṣūru wa-l jibtu khāshiʿun / bi-ma’tami kufrin fī-l jazīrati yuʿqadu_

The victorious one returned while the idol was humbled, in a funeral of disbelief held in the Peninsula.

_Wa qad jā’a naṣru-llāhi wa-l fatḥu wa-ntahā / dujā-l kufri wa-ṭ ṭughyāni idh jā’a Aḥmadu_

The help of Allah and the victory came, and the darkness of disbelief and tyranny ended when Ahmad arrived.

_Wa ashraqa nūru-l ʿilmi wa-r rushdi wa-t tuqā / alā-ʿtaniqū dīna-r rasūli fa-tasʿadū_

The light of knowledge, guidance, and piety shone; verily, embrace the religion of the Messenger that you may be happy.

_Kamā saʿida-l māḍūna wa-dhkur imāmahum / Abū Bakrini-l atqā-l muʿalla-l musaddadu_

Just as those of the past were happy; and remember their leader, Abu Bakr, the most God-fearing, the elevated, the guided.

_Wa-ka-l āyati-l kubrā-l muẓaffaru man ghadā / sirājan wa Fārūqan wa dhāka-l mu’ayyadu_

And like the greatest sign, the triumphant one who became a lamp and the Criterion (al-Faruq), and that is the supported one (Umar).

_Wa ʿUthmānu dhu-n nūrayni kullun qadi-ʿtalā / dhurā-l majdi fī-d dārayni wa-l kullu ṣindidu_

And Uthman, the possessor of the two lights; everyone has ascended the heights of glory in both worlds, and each is a brave leader.

_Wa sayyiduhum laythu-l katā’ibi ṣinwuhu / ʿAliyyun abū-s sibṭayni sayfī-l muhannadu_

And their master, the lion of the battalions, his kinsman Ali, the father of the two grandsons, my Indian blade.

_Wa Ḥamzatu wa-l ʿAbbāsu adhkuru Jaʿfaran / wa shābaha abha-n nāsi fakhrun musannadu_

And Hamza and al-Abbas, and I mention Ja'far; he resembled the most beautiful of people, a supported pride.

_Ilayka rasūla-llāhi ḥibbun wa khādimun / yarūmu riḍā-l bārī wa fī-l khuldi yakhludu_

To you, O Messenger of Allah, comes a lover and a servant, seeking the pleasure of the Creator to dwell in eternity.

_ʿAlayka salāmun wa huwa minnī wa innanī / ʿalā-l jawwi fī tayhā Tihāmata unshidu_

Upon you be peace from me; and I, while in the air in the wilderness of Tihama, am reciting.

_Ujamjimu fī-l ajwā’i ṭawran wa tāratan / tujābu-l mawāmī fadfadan thumma fadfadu_

I speak clearly in the atmosphere sometimes, and at other times the deserts and wastelands are crossed one after another.

_ʿAlā haykalin yabrī-l barā wa ḥanīnuhu / ḥanīnu ʿishārin aw la-ka-l barqi yarʿadu_

Upon a frame (mount/vessel) that outruns the wind, and its yearning is like the yearning of pregnant camels or like the thundering lightning.

_Marartu bi-Badrin bi-l qalībi tadhakkuran / li-qā’idinā-l aʿlā-l muqaffā wa amjadu_

I passed by Badr and the well, remembering our highest leader, the Final Prophet, the most glorious.

_A-yasmaḥu sawwāqī fa-adnū muʿātiban / li-ahli-l qalībi-l kāfirīna unaddidu_

Will my driver allow me to draw near in reproach, to denounce the disbelieving people of the well?

_Wa as’aluhum mā dhā laqū ḥīna hayyajū / al-muqaffā bi-jayshin darrabūhu wa jannadū_

I ask them what they found when they provoked the Final Prophet with an army they had trained and recruited.

_Abū Jahlini-l ʿātī Walīdun wa Shaybatu / kadhā ʿUtbatun idh qalladūhum wa awfadū_

Abu Jahl the tyrant, Walid, and Shayba; likewise Utba, when they followed them and sent them forth.

_Liqā’un bi-Badrin qad usarru bi-dhikrihi / fa-kullun qatīlun aw asīrun muqayyadu_

A meeting at Badr whose mention I rejoice in; for every one of them was either killed or a bound prisoner.

_Uʿaffiru khaddī ʿinda mamshā Muḥammadin / wa lī jānibay Harshā ṭarīqun mumahhadu_

I rub my cheek in the dust where Muhammad walked; and for me, by the sides of Harsha, is a paved path.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / mina-l ʿabdi fī rakbin wa rawḍaka yaqṣudu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace, from a servant in a caravan heading toward your garden.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / fa-lam aku fī darki-l munā ataraddadu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; for I did not hesitate in attaining my desires.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / wa min wālidī shaykhī wa mā zāla yuḥmadu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace, and from my father, my Shaykh, who is ever-praised.

_ʿAlayhi maʿa-l āli-l kirāmi wa ṣaḥbihi / taṭību ḥayātī thumma fī-l qabri asʿadu_

Upon him, along with the noble Family and his Companions; may my life be pleasant and may I be happy in the grave.
