_Ṭabībī qarībun hal siqāmiya tasmaʿu / yuqābilunī yawmi-l muqaffā-l mushaffaʿu_

My physician is near; do you hear my ailment? Today the Final Prophet, the intercessor, meets me.

_Arānī idhā mā ji’tu yawman Muḥammadā / taḥaqqaqu āmālī kamā atawaqqaʿu_

I see that if I ever come to Muhammad, my hopes will be realized just as I expect.

_Muḥammadu khayru-l ʿālamīna wasīlatī / atāka khadīmun ḍāriʿun yatashaffaʿu_

Muhammad, the best of the worlds, is my means; a pleading servant has come to you seeking intercession.

_Ataytu bi-ṣinwī thumma ahlī wa ildatī / sirāʿan wa ḥawla-l hāshimiyyi natajam-maʿu_

I came with my kinsman, then my family and my children, hurrying, and around the Hashemite we gather.

_Wa khalfī jumūʿun yantamūna li-ḥizbikum / yaʿum-muhumu-t tashfīʿu ajmaʿu akṭaʿu_

And behind me are crowds belonging to your party; the intercession encompasses them all, entirely and completely.

_Ayā nafsu adrakti-l amānī fa-hādhihi / marābiʿu khayri-n nāsi wa-n nūru yaṣṭaʿu_

O soul, you have attained your desires; for these are the dwellings of the best of mankind, and the light is shining.

_Ayā nafsu adrakti-l amānī fa-hādhihi / marābiʿu khayri-n nāsi wa-n nūru yaṣṭaʿu_

O soul, you have attained your desires; for these are the dwellings of the best of mankind, and the light is shining.

_Fa-alqat ʿaṣāhā wa-staqarrat bihā-n nawā / wa nilti-l munā mā bālu ʿayniki tadmaʿu_

So the soul has cast down its staff (settled) and the destination is fixed; you have attained your wishes, so why do your eyes weep?

_Wa mā bālu hādhā-sh shawqi wa-sh shamlu jāmiʿun / wa dhā-l ḥablu mawṣūlun fa-mā-l waṣlu yumnaʿu_

And what is the matter with this longing while the gathering is united? This rope is connected, so union cannot be prevented.

_Falaw ṣawwarūnī fī-l ḥaqīqati lam yaraw / siwā shakhṣi maḥbūbin bihi natamat-taʿu_

If they were to depict me in reality, they would see nothing but the person of the Beloved through whom we find joy.

_Fa-bāʿithu Ibrāhīma li-sh shawqi wāḥidun / falastu uthannīhi wa lam aku ajmaʿu_

The One who rouses Ibrahim to longing is One; I do not make Him two, nor do I pluralize Him.

_Wa huwa-l muṣṭafā khayru-l khalā’iqi Aḥmadu / bihi qūtu rūḥī ʿindahu-l qalbu yakhshaʿu_

He is the Chosen one, the best of creation, Ahmad; in him is the nourishment of my spirit, and before him the heart is humble.

_ʿAkaftu ʿalā bābi-n nabiyyi Muḥammadi / wa man rāma ḍurrī fahuwa ajdā wa anfaʿu_

I have devoted myself to the door of the Prophet Muhammad; and whoever intends harm for me—he (the Prophet) is more helpful and beneficial.

_Bi-Makkata bi-l masʿā bi-Khayfin wa mashʿari / ḍiyā’u rasūli-llāhi li-ṭ ṭarfi yalmaʿu_

In Mecca, at the Mas'a, at Khayf, and the sanctuary; the light of the Messenger of Allah gleams for the eye.

_Bi-ghāri Ḥirā’in bi-l muḥaṣ-ṣabi lā arā / rafīqan siwā-l hādī bihi atamat-taʿu_

In the cave of Hira' and at al-Muhassab, I see no companion except the Guide through whom I find joy.

_Muḥammadun ʿabdu-llāhi Aḥmadu ʿāqibu / bi-ḥubbi-l imāmi-l hāshimiyyi atashabbaʿu_

Muhammad, the servant of Allah, Ahmad, the Successor; through the love of the Hashemite Imam, I am satiated.

_ʿAlayka amīna-llāhi nāṣiru ḥāmidā / bashīran nadhīran māḥiya-l kufri arwaʿu_

Upon you, O Trustworthy one of Allah, helper and praiser; bringer of glad tidings, warner, eraser of disbelief, O wonderful one.

_Makiyyun wa yā ma’mūnu ḥibbī wa markazī / famā fī siwā hādī-l bariyyati aṭmaʿu_

O Meccan, O trusted one, my beloved and my center; I desire nothing but the Guide of creation.

_Ayā jāmiʿa-l khayrāti yā malja’a-l warā / fa-ṣilnī bi-ḥablin lā yurā yataqaṭ-ṭaʿu_

O gatherer of all good, O refuge of mankind; connect me with a rope that is never seen to break.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / fa-inna fu’ādī ʿindaka-d dahra ajmaʿu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; for my heart is with you for all of time.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / fa-ʿayshun bi-dūni-l ḥubbi fīka muḍayyaʿu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; for a life without love for you is a life wasted.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / liqā’un ka-ḥaswi-ṭ ṭayri li-l qalbi mūjiʿu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; a meeting as brief as a bird's sip is painful to the heart.

_Wa yawmun ka-alfin min sinīna aʿudduhu / qaṣīran fa-mā nafsī bi-dhālika taqnaʿu_

And a day that I count as a thousand years, I still find too short; my soul is never satisfied with that.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / ʿalā raghmi anfī bi-s salāmi uwaddiʿu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; despite my reluctance, I bid farewell with peace.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / wa hal baʿda hādhā kullihi sawfa arjiʿu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; and after all of this, shall I really return?

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / madā-d dahri dīna-l muṣṭafa-l qarmi arfaʿu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; throughout time, I elevate the religion of the noble Chosen one.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / maqāmuka maḥmūdun ladā-l ḥashri tashfaʿu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; your station is the Praiseworthy one, and at the Gathering, you shall intercede.
