_Kilīniya Salmā sallimīnī li-mālikī / sa-amshī li-Ṭāhā khayri Fihrin wa Mālikī_

Leave me, O Salma, and surrender me to my Owner; I shall walk toward Taha, the best of Fihr and Malik.

_Ilā khayri nāsin khayri man waṭi’a-th tharā / wa khayri Nizārin khayri ḥayyin wa hāliki_

Toward the best of people, the best of those who trod the earth, and the best of Nizar, the best of the living and the deceased.

_Muḥammadun ma’mūnu-s samā’i rasūlunā / wahabtu lahu nafsī wa kulla mamālikī_

Muhammad, the trusted one of heaven, is our Messenger; I have gifted to him my soul and all my possessions.

_Yu’arriqunī dhikrā surāhu bi-Makkatin / wa qad kidtu asrī aw saraytu kadhaliki_

The memory of his nocturnal journey in Mecca keeps me awake; and I almost traveled by night, or rather I did travel likewise.

_Saraytu bi-rūḥī aqtafī jisma Aḥmadin / fa-tamma liqā’un bayna dhayni hunāliki_

I traveled with my spirit, following the body of Ahmad; thus a meeting between those two was completed there.

_Hunāka talāshā-r rūḥu bi-l jismi fāniyā / ṣafā liya waqtī fīhi baʿda tahāluki_

There, the spirit vanished into the body in annihilation; my time became pure within it after my exhaustion.

_Nabiyyun karīmun akrama-llāhu khalqahu / bi-biʿthatihi ruḥmā li-nāsin wa nāsiki_

A noble Prophet whose character Allah honored; through his mission, he was a mercy for all people and worshippers.

_Mina-l kufri wa-l ishrāki ḥarrara dāʿiyā / ila-l wāḥidi-l qahhāri hādī-l manāsiki_

From disbelief and polytheism he liberated us, calling toward the One, the Subduer, the Guide of the rites.

_Mina-l kufri wa-l ishrāki ḥarrara dāʿiyā / ila-l wāḥidi-l qahhāri hādī-l manāsiki_

From disbelief and polytheism he liberated us, calling toward the One, the Subduer, the Guide of the rites.

_Wa addabahu idh ṣayyara-dh dhikra khulqahu / wa shaffaʿahu fī-l khalqi rabbu-l malā’iki_

And He (Allah) disciplined him, making the Remembrance (Qur'an) his character; and the Lord of the angels granted him intercession for creation.

_Fa-kun liy shafīʿan yā rasūlu fa-innanī / khadīmuka adʿū dāriki-l ʿabda dāriki_

So be my intercessor, O Messenger; for I am your servant calling out: Reach your servant, reach him!

_Arānī ladā-l Bayti-l Ḥarāmi wa innanī / munāya liqā man jā’anā bi-l manāsiki_

I see myself at the Sacred House, and indeed my desire is to meet the one who brought us the rites.

_Wa bath-thī wa ḥuznī ashtakīhi li-khāliqī / bi-yumni-l muqaffā muqtafā kulli sāliki_

My grief and sorrow I complain of to my Creator, through the blessing of the Final Prophet, the one followed by every wayfarer.

_Takātala ajnādu-ḍ ḍalālati ṣawbanā / li-rabbī shakwa fahuwa khayru mudāriki_

The armies of misguidance have gathered against us; to my Lord is my complaint, for He is the best of rescuers.

_Ka-da’bika rabbī ḥaqqiqi-n naṣra ʿājilā / fa-qad balagha-s saylu-z zubā faltudāriki_

As is Your custom, my Lord, grant victory swiftly; for the flood has reached the heights, so rescue us!

_Bi-hazmika aḥzāba-ḍ ḍalālati qablanā / tubaddiduhum tarmīhim li-l mahāliki_

By Your defeating the parties of misguidance before us; disperse them and cast them into destruction.

_Naṣarta ilāhī Yashkuran wa ḥamaytahu / wa barradta nīrāna-l Khalīli-l mubāraki_

You supported, O my God, (the people of) Yashkur and protected them; and You cooled the fires for the blessed Friend (Ibrahim).

_Falaqta li-Mūsā-l baḥra wa-r rūḥu baʿdahu / ʿalawta bihi Yaḥyā ḥayāta-l malā’iki_

You split the sea for Moses, and the Spirit (Jesus) after him; You elevated John (Yahya) to the life of the angels.

_Bi-ḥaqqika fanṣur ḍāriʿan mutashabbithā / bi-adhyāli khayri-l khalqi najli-l ʿawātiki_

By Your right, support a pleading one who clings to the hems of the best of creation, the descendant of the noble women (al-Awātik).

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / bi-Makkata adʿū khayra rabbin wa māliki_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; in Mecca I call upon the best Lord and Owner.

_Bi-janbi Qubaysin min Ḥirā’in wa innanī / unādī mujīban bāsiṭan ghayra māsiki_

Beside Mount Qubays from Hira’, I call out to One who answers, who is generous and never withholds.

_Fa-hab lī ḥayātan mā ḥayītu karīmatan / wa min baʿdu li-l firdawsi fawqa-l arā’iki_

So grant me a noble life as long as I live, and thereafter the Paradise upon elevated couches.

_Fa-takfīniya-l balwā bi-tilka wa hādhihi / wa tut-ḥifunī fī-l ʿilmi kulla-l madāriki_

Suffice me against trials in this world and the next, and gift me with all the insights of knowledge.

_Wa takfī shurūra-l insi wa-l jinni kullihim / tuḍī’u biya-ẓ ẓalmā’a min kulli ḥāliki_

And suffice me against the evils of all humans and jinn; illuminate the darkness for me from every gloom.

_Ḥayātiya taḥlū bi-l maḥabbati wa-t tuqā / wa mawtī yaḥlū bi-sh shuhūdi kadhalika_

My life becomes sweet through love and piety; and my death becomes sweet through witnessing (the Truth) likewise.

_Asīru maʿa-l abrāri bi-l jadhibi sālikā / sabīla-l muqaffā bayna sublin ḥawāliki_

I journey with the righteous through spiritual attraction, following the path of the Final Prophet among dark paths.

_Fa-hal yā turā annā nasīru bi-Ṭaybatin / wa namshī bi-jiddin bayna tilka-l mabāriki_

Shall we, perchance, journey through Tayba (Medina) and walk with diligence among those blessed places?

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / tamallakta qalbī-d dahra ghayra mushāraki_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; you have possessed my heart for all of time without any partner.

_Daʿawta ila-d dīni-l qawīmi muqawwimā / ṭughātan bughātan bi-ẓ ẓubā wa-l maʿāriki_

You called to the upright religion, straightening tyrants and transgressors with swords and battles.

_Fa-ji’tu li-Badrin mawhinan wa shabībatī / nakhūḍu ghimāra-l layli min kulli ḥāliki_

I came to Badr in the late night with my youth, traversing the depths of the night from every darkness.

May my God reward them (the people of Badr) with every good; and indeed He will protect them from every killing and assassin.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / fa-qad ṭibtu nafsan fī rubūʿi-bni Mālikī_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; for I have found peace of soul in the dwellings of (Anas) ibn Malik.

_ʿAlayhi maʿa-l āli-l kirāmi wa ṣaḥbihi / kilīniya Salmā sallimīnī li-mālikī_

Upon him, along with the noble Family and his Companions; leave me, O Salma, and surrender me to my Owner.
