_Sifārī ila-l hādī li-dhālika afraḥu / qirāya liqā khayri-l warā wa huwa afraḥu_

My journey is toward the Guide, and for that I rejoice; my hospitality is the meeting with the best of creation, and that is most joyful.

_Yubashshiruhu-l bārī bi-madḥī wa zawratī / asīru maʿiya-l abrāru dhālika aflaḥu_

The Creator gives him glad tidings of my praise and my visit; I journey with the righteous, and that is most successful.

_Dawāʿī-shtiyāqī li-l madīnati jammatun / fa-jadhbun wa shawqun lā yazālu mubar-riḥu_

The reasons for my longing for Medina are many; a spiritual attraction and a longing that is ever-afflicting.

_Fa-ṭabʿan uḥibbu-l muṣṭafā fa-ishāratī / ilayhi wa ṭawran bi-l widādi uṣar-riḥu_

By nature I love the Chosen one, so my indication is toward him, and at times I openly declare my affection.

_Fa-yā mā uḥaylā an uqīma bi-Ṭaybatin / hunāka tarā nūra-n nubuwwati yalmaḥu_

O, how sweet it is to stay in Tayba (Medina); there you see the light of Prophethood gleaming.

_Bi-marqadi khayri-l ʿālamīna Muḥammadin / maʿī ṣafwatu-l aḥbābi dhālika anjaḥu_

At the resting place of the best of the worlds, Muhammad; with me are the elite of beloveds, and that is most prosperous.

_Tawaj-jahtu min ahlī ilayhi yasūqunī / wa dhā sharafun Jibrīlu wa-l qalbu yamraḥu_

I turned away from my family toward him, driven by grace; and this is an honor—Gabriel is there and the heart is joyful.

_Ila khayri hādin khayri man waṭi’a-th tharā / wa khayri shafīʿin khayri man jā’a yuṣliḥu_

Toward the best guide, the best of those who trod the earth, and the best intercessor, the best of those who came to rectify.

_Yaqūlūna lā takh-ruj li-suqmin wa mahramin / fa-ʿudhruka min shamsi-ẓ ẓahīrati awḍaḥu_

They say: "Do not set out because of illness and old age; for your excuse from the midday sun is most clear."

_Fa-qultu shifā suqmī-l wuqufu bi-bābihi / ʿani-ṭ ṭibbi yughnīnī ka-man ẓalla yajraḥu_

But I said: The healing of my illness is standing at his door; it suffices me over medicine, like one who remains wounded.

_A-akh-ludu li-r rāḥāti wa-n nāsu kulluhum / yarūḥu wa yaghdu li-l ḥabībi wa yufliḥu_

Shall I settle for comforts while all the people are going and coming for the Beloved and finding success?

_A-atruku Laylā laysa baynī wa baynahā / siwā laylatin man liy bi-dhālika yanṣaḥu_

Shall I leave Layla (the beloved) when there is only one night between me and her? Who would advise me to do that?

_Shafa-s suqma bal aḥyā bi-dūni takal-lufin / bali-l qurba wa-l massu-sh shifā’u-l muraw-wiḥu_

He healed the sickness, rather he gave life without burden; indeed, proximity and touch are the refreshing healing.

_Alā yā rasūla-llāhi ji’tu muʿal-liqā / ʿalayka shu’ūna-l muntamīna wa ashraḥu_

O Messenger of Allah, I have come attaching to you the affairs of those who belong to me, and I explain them.

_Fa-ākhiru mabʿūthin wa aw-walu shāfiʿin / wa aw-walu man yaʿlu-l jināna fa-tuftaḥu_

For you are the last sent one and the first intercessor, and the first who ascends to the Gardens so they are opened.

_Wa innī muḥibbun khādimu-l bābi shāʿirun / wa arjū-ltifātan lā udhal-lu wa aklaḥu_

I am a lover, a servant of the door, and a poet; I hope for a glance so I am not humiliated or gloomy.

_Wa innī muḥibbun khādimu-l bābi shāʿirun / wa arjū-ltifātan lā udhal-lu wa aklaḥu_

I am a lover, a servant of the door, and a poet; I hope for a glance so I am not humiliated or gloomy.

_Idhā ṭufta ḥawla-l ʿarshi wa-l ḥaqqu fawqahu / wa qad khāfa kullu-r rusli kullun yusab-biḥu_

When you circumambulate the Throne and the Truth is above it, while all the Messengers are afraid and everyone is glorifying.

_Malā’ikatu-r raḥmāni wa-r ruslu kulluhum / yajūlūna baḥthan ʿan shafīʿin yurash-shaḥu_

The angels of the Most Merciful and all the Messengers are wandering in search of an intercessor to be nominated.

_Ila an aqar-rū bayna Nūḥin wa Ādama / wa Mūsā wa Ibrāhīma wa-l ḥaqqu awḍaḥu_

Until they affirm among Noah, Adam, Moses, and Abraham—and the Truth is most clear.

_Wa ʿĪsa-l masīḥi wa huwa rūḥu ilāhinā / wa kilmatuhu najlu-l batūli wa afṣaḥū_

And Jesus the Messiah, who is the Spirit of our God and His Word, the son of the Virgin; and they spoke clearly—

_Bi-anna ḥabība-llāhi Ṭāhā Muḥammadā / shafīʿu-l warā-l maqbūlu yunjī wa yamnaḥu_

That the Beloved of Allah, Taha Muhammad, is the accepted intercessor of creation who saves and bestows.

_Matā qumta wasṭa-l anbiyā’i mushaf-faʿan / hunālika ashdū bi-th thanā wa ulaw-wiḥu_

When you stand among the prophets as an intercessor, there I shall sing with praise and signal.

_Hunāka tadhak-kar yā shafīʿu muqaṣ-ṣiran / asīra gharāmin fīka yashdū wa yamdaḥu_

There, O Intercessor, remember one who fell short, a prisoner of passion who sings and praises you.

_Fa-innaka awfa-n nāsi ʿahdan wa dhimmatan / wa akmalahum khulqan wa askhā wa asmaḥu_

For you are the most fulfilling of people in covenant and protection, the most perfect in character, the most generous and clement.

_Wahabta wa lam takh-sha-ftiqāran wa fāqatan / famā samaḥat nafsun bi-mā anta tasmaḥu_

You gave and did not fear poverty or need; no soul has ever been as generous as you are.

_Fa-kam ʿakarin kam min qanāṭīra marratan / wahabta ila-l aʿdā’i wa-l kullu yafraḥu_

How many herds and how many quintals at once you gave to the enemies while everyone rejoiced.

_Fa-fī kulli ḥayyin qad khabaṭta bi-niʿmatin / ila kulli aqṣa-n nāsi jūduka yuṭraḥu_

In every neighborhood you have descended with a blessing; to every furthest person your generosity is extended.

_Fa-hab liy amānan yā rasūlu wa asqinī / mina-l ḥawḍi ka’san lā urā ʿawḍu akdaḥu_

So grant me safety, O Messenger, and give me to drink from the Pond a cup after which I shall never labor again.

_Wa dhā baʿda taʿmīrin ʿalā nahji Aḥmada / wa atbāʿihi-l lā’īna qādū wa aṣlaḥū_

And this after a long life upon the path of Ahmad and his followers who led and rectified.

_Wa sitrin jamīlin thumma ʿafwin wa rifʿatin / wa fawzin wa riḍwānin mina-l khuldi amlaḥu_

And a beautiful concealment, then pardon and elevation, and triumph and pleasure from the eternal Paradise, most sweet.

_Fa-dīnuka dīnu-l ḥaqqi qad ḍal-la saʿyu man / yuḥāwilu iṭfā nūrihi kayfa yanjaḥu_

For your religion is the religion of Truth; the effort of whoever tries to extinguish its light has gone astray—how could he succeed?

_Ramaw waḥya mawlānā wa kādū wa zakhrafū / sa-ya’tīhimu khizyun walā-d dahra yabraḥu_

They pelted the revelation of our Master, plotted, and embellished; shame shall come to them and shall never leave them.

_Junūnu Lanīna wa-l karādīni ẓāhirun / fa-āmantu bi-l māḥī-ḍ ḍalāli wa ufṣiḥu_

The madness of Lenin and the "Karadīn" (enemies) is manifest; so I believed in the Eraser of misguidance and I speak clearly.

_Ladā ʿArafātin qad taṭah-hartu ṣāfiyan / li-malqā karīmin bābuhu yatafat-taḥu_

At Arafat I have become purified and clear, for the meeting of a Generous One whose door is opened.

_Ramawnī ladā ramyi-l jimāri wa akh-ṭa’ū / anā ḍiddu iblīsa wa lam aku abraḥu_

They pelted me during the stoning of the pillars and they missed; I am the opponent of Iblis and I shall never cease to be.

_Wa as’alu mawlānā yaʿummu jamīʿahum / bi-raḥmatihi kaymā yafūzū wa yufliḥū_

And I ask our Master to encompass them all with His mercy so that they may triumph and succeed.

_Na’ūbu bi-su’lin kullunā wa salāmatin / ka-ʿādati khayri-n nāsi wa-l ʿurfu aṣlaḥu_

We return with our requests, all of us, and in safety; as is the custom of the best of people, and the tradition is most righteous.

_Wa waddaʿtuhu lā astaṭīʿu wadāʿahu / jarā-d damʿu minnī wa-l fu’ādu mujarraḥu_

And I bid him farewell, though I cannot bear his farewell; my tears flowed and the heart is wounded.

_Wa inna-l ladhī radda-l kalīma li-ummihi / sa-yarjiʿunī li-l munḥaminnā wa afraḥu_

And indeed, the One who returned the Speaker (Moses) to his mother shall return me to our Bestower, and I shall rejoice.

_Wa ʿawdan li-bad’in qad ʿalawtu bilādahu / wa nāru-shtiyāqī li-l madīnati talfaḥu_

Returning to the start, I have risen above his lands while the fire of my longing for Medina is scorching.

_Salāmun ʿalā kanzi-l barāyā-l ladhī ghadā / bihi-l kullu fī-d dārayni yanjū wa yarbaḥu_

Peace be upon the treasure of creation, through whom everyone in both worlds is saved and gains.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / a’ūbu walā shakwā wa Ṭāhā-l musar-rihu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; I return without complaint, and Taha is the one who releases.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / madā-d dahri Ṭāhā-l hāshimiyyu liy marbaḥu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; throughout time, Taha the Hashemite is my gain.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / min ābā’ina-sh shummi-l ladhīna qad awḍaḥū_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace, from our noble fathers who made things clear.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / wa nagh-rifu min baḥri-r rasūli wa nanzahu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; we scoop from the sea of the Messenger and draw out.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / ilayka wa fī baḥri-l hawā laka nasbaḥu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; toward you and in the sea of love for you we swim.

_ʿAlayka maʿa-l āli-l kirāmi wa ṣaḥbihi / baqiyyatuhum khayrun bihi-l waznu yarjaḥu_

Upon him, along with the noble Family and his Companions; their remnant is good, by which the balance outweighs.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / madā kawninā bi-l muṣṭafa-l qarmi nafraḥu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; as long as our existence rejoices in the noble Mustafa.
