From [Ad-Dawaawiinu s-Sitta · الدواوين الست](https://qasaaid.zayfir.app/app/qasaaid/691f292bc02b144934a4ec1f) by [Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass](https://qasaaid.zayfir.app/app/authors/69172463686829cc1d041df5)

_Thaqāfatu Ibrāhīma wa-l ʿilmu kulluhu / madīḥu-l imāmi-l hāshimiyyi wa faḍluhu_

The culture of Ibrahim and all his knowledge is the praise of the Hashemite Imam and his merit.

_Wa man fiʿluhu nahju-l ilāhi wa dīnuhu / wa laysa siwāhu innamā-l qawlu qawluhu_

He whose actions are the path of God and His religion; there is none besides him, for indeed the word is his word.

_Banā qubbata-l islāmi bi-l waḥyi dāʿiyan / ilayhi jamīʿa-n nāsi qad ʿamma ẓilluhu_

He built the dome of Islam through revelation, calling all people to it; his shade has encompassed everyone.

_Khadīmuka hadhā fī Barīsa muʿawwaqā / siwāhu ladā wādi-n Naqā tamma waṣluhu_

This servant of yours is in Paris, hindered (by illness), while others at the Valley of Naqa have completed their union.

_Yuʿal-lilu nafsan bi-l wiṣāli fa-ʿallahu / bi-waqtin mina-l awqāti tanfakku rijluhu_

He consoles himself with the hope of union; perhaps at some point in time, his leg will be set free.

_Fa-hal tasmaḥu-l ayyāmu bi-s sayri li-n Naqā / fa-yaqḍī lanā kulla-l fawā’iti ahluhu_

Will the days permit a journey to the Naqa, so that its people may fulfill for us all that we have missed?

_Fa-qad ṭāla ʿazlī ʿan wufūdi janābihi / fa-yarḥamu khayru-n nāsi man ṭāla ʿazluhu_

For my isolation from the delegations to his presence has been long; may the best of people have mercy on one whose isolation has been prolonged.

_Fa-amshī ilā dhāka-l janābi muʿaffiran / khudaydan wa zāla-s suqmu ʿannī wa dhulluhu_

So that I may walk to that presence, rubbing my cheek in the dust, and the illness and its humiliation may vanish from me.

_Fa-yashfī siqāman kal-la ʿanhu ṭabībuhu / wa jarrāḥuhu wa-shtadda fī-l jismi wayluhu_

He heals an ailment for which the doctor and the surgeon were exhausted, and whose woe intensified in the body.

_Wa farra-ṣṭibārī baʿda ṭūli tajal-ludin / wa qad qarra ṭal-lu-d damʿi ḥaqqan wa wabluhu_

My patience fled after a long endurance, and the dew and downpour of my tears have truly settled.

_ʿAlā anna luṭfa-llāhi thumma jamālahu / laqad ghamarānī lā yurā ʿawḍu shakluhu_

Yet the kindness of Allah and His beauty have overwhelmed me; no likeness of them can ever be seen.

_Yajī-l ʿā’idūna lā yarawna mushaw-wishā / fa-qad ghāba farʿu-s suqmi ʿanhum wa aṣluhu_

The visitors return and see no disturbance, for the branch and the root of the illness have disappeared from them.

_Sharaḥtu bi-dhā ḥālī wa laysa bi-ḥājatin / ila-sh sharḥi wa-t tabyīni wa-l ḥallu ḥalluhu_

I have explained my state through this, though there is no need for explanation or clarification; for the solution is his solution.

_Maʿī dhikru mawlānā-l jalīli jalāluhu / mina-ṣ ṣādiqi-l maṣdūqi Aḥmada naqluhu_

With me is the remembrance of our Illustrious Lord—majestic is His glory—transmitted from the truthful and trusted Ahmad.

_Bi-yawmiya atlūhu bi-jahrin wa khufyatin / dawāman wa mithlu-l yawmi fī dhāka layluhu_

By day I recite it openly and secretly, constantly; and like the day, so is its night in that regard.

_Fa-hal abṣarat ʿaynāka aḥlā maʿīshatan / mina-l ʿabdi fahuwa-l ḥamdu lillāhi kulluhu_

Have your eyes ever seen a sweeter life than that of this servant? All praise is to Allah.

_Ra’aytu rasūla-llāhi jahran wa yaqẓatan / bi-Bārīsa hal dhāka-l maḥallu maḥalluhu_

I saw the Messenger of Allah openly and in wakefulness in Paris—is that place truly his place?

_Fa-sha’naka khayra-n nāsi wa-l khādima-l ladhī / lahu zamanun mā jā maʿa-ṣ ṣarfi ʿadluhu_

So it is for you (to judge), O best of people, and this servant who for a long time has found no equivalent in exchange.

_Fa-sha’naka khayra-n nāsi wa-l khādima-l ladhī / li-ṭūli-ftirāqin jayri qad ṭāra ʿaqluhu_

So it is for you, O best of people, and this servant whose mind has nearly flown due to the length of separation.

_Fa-sha’naka khayra-n nāsi wa-l khādima-l ladhī / farīḍatuhu ḥubbu-l amīni wa nafluhu_

So it is for you, O best of people, and this servant whose obligatory and voluntary worship is the love of the Trustworthy one.

_Takālaba aʿdā’un ʿalayhi li-ḥubbikum / fa-shat-tit lahum shamlan li-yujmaʿa shamluhu_

Enemies have hounded him because of his love for you; so disperse their gathering that his own gathering may be united.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / yaqūdu lanā mā fāta ṭurran wa mithluhu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; may they bring back for us all that has passed and its like.

_ʿAlayka ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / yatimmu ladā hadhā-l khuwaydimi su’luhu_

Upon you be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; through which this little servant’s request is fulfilled.

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / wa min wālidī lā zāla fī-l khuldi nuzluhu_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace, and from my father—may his abode eternally be in Paradise.

_ʿAlayhi ṣalātu-llāhi thumma salāmuhu / aʿūdu ilā shughlī wa shughliya shughluhu_

Upon him be the blessings of Allah and then His peace; I return to my work, and my work is his work.

_ʿAlayhi maʿa-l āli-l kirāmi wa ṣاḥbihi / anālu ʿaṭā’an minhu qad ṭāla dhayluhu_

Upon him, along with the noble Family and his Companions; I attain from him a gift whose reach is long.
