Yaa Mula ·
By Sheikh Yahya Ibn Mohammadil Amiin
Opening verses
Yā mūla‘an biṭ-ṭarabi
Rāghiba ‘an ta‘attubi
Waz-zayghi wat-tajannubi
Inhaḍ li-mad-ḥil-Quṭbi
O you who are infatuated with spiritual ecstasy, desiring to turn away from blame, deviation, and avoidance—arise to praise the "Qutb" (Spiritual Pole)!
A‘nī bihi ghawthal-warā
Summal-‘idā ṭibbal-warā
Bar-hāma man bihi narā
Kullal-munā wal-maṭlabi
I mean by him the Succor of creation, the poison for enemies, the medicine for humanity: Ibrahim (Baye Niass), through whom we see all our desires and goals.
