**1.** أَلُوفُ الْخَلْقِ مَأْلُوفٌ / صَفِيُّ اللهِ بَرْهَامُ

_Aluufu’l khalqi Ma’luufun / Safiyyu-llahi Bar’haamu_

You are the beloved extrovert and bosom friend of Allah, Oh Barham!

**2.** لَأَنْتَ الْحِصْنُ مِنْ كُلِّ الْـ / مَخُوفِ الْغَوْثُ بَرْهَامُ

_La’anta-l hisnu min kulli-l / Makhuufu-l Gawthu Barhaamu_

You are the fort against any apprehension..Oh the Succour, Barham!

**3.** شَكُورٌ خَالِصُ الْأَعْمَا / لِ وَالْأَقْوَالِ بَرْهَامُ

_Shakuurun khaalisu-l A’amaa / li wal Aq’waali Barhaamu_

You are thankful and sincere in all your deeds and sayings, Oh Barham!

**4.** يُلِينُ الْجَنْبَ لَا فَظًّا / غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ بَرْهَامُ

_Yuliinu-l janba laa fazzaan / Ghaliiza-l Qalbi Barhaamu_

He (Niass) was lenient, and not severe harsh-hearted, Oh Barham!

**5.** خُشُوعٌ مِنْ سَجَايَاكَ / غِيَاثُ الْخَلْقِ بَرْهَامُ

_Khushuu’un min sajaayaaka / Ghiyaathu-l khalqi Barhaamu_

Submissiveness is one one your natural dispositions, Oh Nurturer of the Creation, Barham!

**6.** إِلَهُ الْخَلْقِ أَعْطَاكَ / زِمَامَ الْكَوْنِ بَرْهَامُ

_Ilaahu-l khalqi A’ataaka / Zimaama-l kawni Barhaamu_

God of the Creation has given you control of the Universe, Oh Barham!

**7.** لَقَدْ أُوتِيتَ كُنْ فَيَكُو / نُ فَضْلُ اللهِ بَرْهَامُ

_Laqad uutiita kun-fayakuu / nu fadla-llahi Barhaamu_

Indeed, you had been granted (power of) ‘Be and it is’, which is a favour from Allah, Oh Barham!

**8.** حَبِيبُ الْحَقِّ بَوَّابُ / وُلُوجِ الْكُلِّ بَرْهَامُ

_Habiibu-l haqqi Bawwaabu / wuluuji-l kulli Barhaamu_

You are the Ultimate beloved of the Truth (Allah) and portal of the divine platform for all the creations, Oh Barham!

**9.** أَنَلْتَ الْكُلَّ جَدْوَاكَ / سِوَى شَانِيكَ بَرْهَامُ

_Anilta-l kulla jadwaaka / Siwaa shaaniika Barhaamu_

You gave all the creations your grants, save your critics, Oh Barham!

**10.** جَمِيلٌ جَابِرُ الْكَسْرِ / لِمَنْ وَافَاكَ بَرْهَامُ

_Jamiilun jaabiru-l kasri / liman waafaaka Barhaamu_

You are elegant, and you ameliorate vices to virtues for whoever embraces you, Oh Barham!

**11.** إِمَامُ الْأَوْلِيَا كُلًّا / بِهَذَا الْوَقْتِ بَرْهَامُ

_Imaamu-l Awliyaa kullaa / bi’haadhaa-l waqti Barhaamu_

You are the pivot leader of all Saints in this epoch, Oh Barham!

**12.** بُرُوزُ الْحَقِّ وَالتَّحْقِي / قِ وَالْعِرْفَانِ بَرْهَامُ

_Buruzul haqqi wattahqi / qi wal irfani Barhamu_

You are the projection of the Truth (Allah), Reality and gnosis, Oh Barham!

**13.** رَمَيْتَ الْقِشْرَ لِلدِّينِ / لِأَهْلِ الْقِشْرِ بَرْهَامُ

_Ramaital qishra liddini / li Ahlil qishri Barhamu_

You abandoned the shell of the religion (Islam) for the people of the shell, Oh Barham!

**14.** أَخَذْتَ اللُّبَّ مِنْ لُبٍّ / لِأَهْلِ اللُّبِّ بَرْهَامُ

_Akhaztallubba Min lubbin / li Ahlil Lubbi Barhamu_

Hence, you upheld the kernel from its intrinsic for the people of Gnosis (Gnostics/Aarifeen), Oh Barham!

**15.** هِيَامُ الْقَلْبِ فِي الْهَاهُو / تِ وَاللَّاهُوتِ بَرْهَامُ

_Huyamul Qalbi fil hahu / ti wallahuti Barhamu_

Your heart roves in the divine platform of Hahut and Lahut, Oh Barham!

**16.** يَهِيمُ فِي جَبَرُوتٍ / كَذَا الْمَلَكُوتِ بَرْهَامُ

_Yahimu fi jabaruti / kazal Malakuti Barhamu_

And it (heart) rove in a divine platform of Jabarut, likewise in Malakut, Oh Barham!

**17.** مَحَوْتَ الْكَوْنَ بِالنَّاسُو / تِ سِرَّ اللهِ بَرْهَامُ

_Mahautal kauna Binnasuti / sirrallahi Barhamu_

You effaced the creations from platform of Nasut Oh Mystery of Allah, Barham!

**18.** أَسَرَّ السِّرَّ لِلسِّرِّ / لِأَهْلِ السِّرِّ بَرْهَامُ

_Asarras sirra lissirri / li Ahlis sirri Barhamu_

You confide mystery to the mystery and for the Gnostics, Oh Barham!

**19.** بَدِيعُ الصُّنْعِ مَحْمُودُ الـ / صِّفَاتِ الْغَوْثُ بَرْهَامُ

_Badi’us sun’i Mahmud us / sifatil gausi Barhamu_

You are wonderful and of praiseworthy characters Oh the succour, Barham!

**20.** نَصِيحٌ شَاكِرٌ بَرٌّ / رَفِيعُ الصِّيتِ بَرْهَامُ

_Nasihun shakirun Barrun / Rafi’us siti Barhamu_

You are sincere, thankful, righteous and illustrious, Oh Barham!

**21.** أَمِينُ اللهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ / كَفِيلُ الْأَمْرِ بَرْهَامُ

_Aminullahi fil Ardi / kafilul amri Barhamu_

You are Allah’s trustworthy on earth and surety in serious matters, Oh Barham!

**22.** لَأَنْتَ الْغَوْثُ فِي الْأَرْوَاحِ / أَهْلُ الْفَوْزِ بَرْهَامُ

_La antal gausu fi arwahi / Ahlil fauzi Barhamu_

You are the nurturer in the souls of the prosperous people, Oh Barham!

**23.** حَلِيمٌ قَائِدُ الرُّكْبَانِ / وَالْحُجَّاجِ بَرْهَامُ

_Halimun qa’idur rukbani / wal hujjaji Barhamu_

You are patient and you are the leader of the mystical travellers and the pilgrims, Oh Barham!

**24.** أَعَنْتَ الْحَقَّ بِالْحَقِّ / فَعَبْدُ الْحَقِّ بَرْهَامُ

_A’antal haqqa bil haqqi / fa abdul haqqi Barhamu_

You propagate the truth (Islam) by the truth (Qur’an&Sunnah). Hence , you are the servant of the Truth (Allah), Oh Barham!

**25.** جَمَالٌ مَعَ جَلَالِ اللهِ / أَعْيَا الْفَهْمَ بَرْهَامُ

_Jamalun maa jalalullahi / Aayal fahma Barhamu_

Splendour and Majesty of Allah, perplexes the (individual) understanding, Oh Barham!

**26.** عَبَدْتَ الذَّاتَ بِالذَّاتِ / فَعَبْدُ الذَّاتِ بَرْهَامُ

_Abattaz zata bizzati / fa Abduzzati Barhamu_

You worshipped Allah by Allah. Then, you are the (sincere) servant of Allah, Oh Barham!

**27.** بَدَا مِنْكَ كَرِيمٌ مِنْ / كَرِيمٌ مِنْكَ بَرْهَامُ

_Bada minka karimun min / karimun minka Barhamu_

Nobility emanated from you by the fact that you are the source of nobility, Oh Barham!

**28.** دَلِيلٌ كَاشِفُ الْأَلْبَاسِ / وَالظُّلُمَاتِ بَرْهَامُ

_Dalilun kashiful Albasi / Wazzul mati Barhamu_

You are the guide that tackles the ambiguity and lighten the darkness, Oh Barham!

**29.** أَمَطْتَ الْغَيْرَ وَالْغَيْرِيَّـ / ـةَ الْإِنْيَاسَ بَرْهَامُ

_Amattal gaira wal gairi / yatal Inyasu Barhamu_

You expel theism and polytheism, Niass Barham!

**30.** لَلَا وَاللهِ لَا فَصْلٌ / لِمَنْ وَافَاكَ بَرْهَامُ

_Lala wallahi la faslun / liman wafaka Barhamu_

Nay, I swear by Allah, there’s no spiritual separation for whoever embraced you, Oh Barham!

**31.** لَلَا وَاللهِ لَا وَصْلٌ / لِشَانِئِ الْغَوْثِ بَرْهَامُ

_Lala wallahi la waslun / li shanil gausu Barhamu_

Nay, I swear by Allah, there’s no spiritual union for the critics of the nurturer, Oh Barham!

**32.** أَخَذْتَ الدِّينَ بِالْحَبْلِ الْمَـ / ـتِينِ مِنْكَ بَرْهَامُ

_Akhaztad Dina bil hablil / Matini minka Barhamu_

You uphold the pristine of the religion (Islam) firmly, Oh Barham!

**33.** هَدَمْتَ الْأُسَّ مِنْ كُفْرٍ / بِسِرِّ الْمَاحِ بَرْهَامُ

_Hadamtal ussa min kufrin / Bisirril Mahi Barhamu_

You demolished foundation of disbelievers with the mystery of Al-Mahi (SAW), Oh Barham!

**34.** أَتَخْشَى جَوْرَ أَعْدَاءٍ / خَدِيمَ الْكَافِ بَرْهَامُ

_Atakh’shaa jawra a’adaa-in / khaddemi l kaafi Barhamu_

Would you fear deceit of (your) foes? Oh servant of Kaf (SAW), Barham!

**35.** لَلَانَتْ صَخْرَةُ الْجَوْرِ / زَمَانَ الْغَوْثِ بَرْهَامُ

_La-anat sakhratu l jawri / zamaana l ghawthi Barhamu_

Despotism became pliable in the age of the nurturer, Oh Barham!

**36.** كَمَالُ الدِّينِ وَالدُّنْيَا / حَوَاهُ الْغَوْثُ بَرْهَامُ

_Kamaalu deen wa dunyaa / hawaahu l ghawthu Barhamu_

The nurturer accomplished the perfection of religion and the world, Oh Barham!

**37.** وَلَوْ لَمْ تَخْشَ لَمْ تَعْصِ / إِلَهَ الْعَرْشِ بَرْهَامُ

_Wa law lam takh’sha lam ta’asi / ilaha l ‘arshi Barhamu_

You did not fear nor disobey Lord of Al-‘Arsh (because of fear of hell-fire or desire to enter paradise). It is only for His sake, Oh Barham!

**38.** لَأَنْتَ الْجَوْهَرُ الْفَرْدُ / فَلَا تَقْسِيمَ بَرْهَامُ

_La-anta l Jawharu l fardu / falaa taqseema Barhamu_

You are, really, an indivisible sui generis gem, Oh Barham!

**39.** خَلِيُّ الْقَلْبِ مِنْ غِلِّ / وَشَرِّ الْكِبْرِ بَرْهَامُ

_Khaliyyu l qalbi min gillin / wa sharri l kibri Barhamu_

You heart is free from spite and haughtiness, Oh Barham!

**40.** يَمِينِي فِيكَ مَبْرُورٌ / بِحَمْدِ اللهِ بَرْهَامُ

_Yamiinii fiika mabruurun / bi-hamdi llahi Barhamu_

My covenant in you is sincere. So, praise is due to Allah, Oh Barham!

**41.** صَلَاحَ الدِّينِ وُلِّيتَ / إِمَامَ الْعَدْلِ بَرْهَامُ

_Salahuddini wullita / imamul Adli Barhamu_

You are charged with reformation of the religion (Islam) and you are a just leader, Oh Barham!

**42.** أَدَرْتَ الْكَاسَ مِنْ خَمْرٍ / لِأَهْلِ الشُّرْبِ بَرْهَامُ

_Adartal kasa min khamrin / li Ahlish shurbi Barhamu_

You served the Gnostics with a cup full of spiritual wine, Oh Barham!

**43.** حَيَارَى كُلُّنَا نَشْوَا / نُ بِالْأَذْكَارِ بَرْهَامُ

_Hayara kulluna nashwa / nu bil azkari Barhamu_

All of us (proteges [mureed(s)] become) bewildered, tipsying with litanies, Oh Barham!

**44.** بَقَائِي مِنْ فَنَائِي فِي / غِيَابِي فِيكَ بَرْهَامُ

_Baqaa’i min fanaa’ii fii / ghiyaabii fiika barhamu_

My existence and sobriety depends on my total annihilation in you, Oh Barham!

**45.** أَبُو الْأَرْوَاحِ وَالْأَشْبَا / حِ هَذَا الْوَقْتَ بَرْهَامُ

_Abul arwahi wal Ashbahi / hazal waqta Barhamu_

You are the spiritual father of all souls (Haqiqah) and bodies (Shariah) at this period, Oh Barham!

**46.** لَأَنْتَ الْفَرْضُ فِي الْمَعْنَى / كَذَا فِي الْحِسِّ بَرْهَامُ

_La’antal fardu fil maana / kaza fil hissi Barhamu_

You are sui generis (unique) in the senses of incorporeal and corporeal, Oh Barham!

**47.** فَفَيْضُ الْخَتْمِ قَدْ بَانَا / وَأَنْتَ الْقُطْبُ بَرْهَامُ

_Fafaidul khatmi qad bana / wa antal qudbu Barhamu_

Spiritual flood of the seal, has indeed, emerged and you are the (current) Qutb, Oh Barham!

**48.** يَنَالُ الْفَيْضَ مَنْ وَافَا / كَ بِالتَّصْدِيقِ بَرْهَامُ

_Yanalul faida man wafaka / bittasdiqi Barhamu_

Whoever embraces you sincerely will drink from the spiritual flood, Oh Barham!

**49.** ضَمَانٌ مِنْ مَخُوفَاتٍ / لِمَنْ يَأْتِيكَ بَرْهَامُ

_Damanun min makhufatin / liman yatika Barhamu_

You are a solace (in a state) of hysteria for whoever embraces you, Oh Barham!

**50.** هُدَاةُ الدِّينِ فِي تَحْتِ / لِوَاكَ الْيَوْمَ بَرْهَامُ

_Hudatuddini fi tahti / liwakal yauma Barhamu_

Preceptors of the religion (Islam) are presently under your auspices, Oh Barham!

**51.** إِذَا مَا ظَهَرَ نَصْرُ اللهِ / أَتَى الْأَفْوَاجُ بَرْهَامُ

_Izama zahara Nasrullah / atal af waju Barhamu_

If (help of Allah manifests), people will turn up in hordes, Oh Barham!

**52.** لَأَنْتَ الْوَارِثُ الْخَتْمِ / كَذَا الْمَكْتُومُ بَرْهَامُ

_La antal warisul khatmi / kazal maktumi Barhamu_

You are the vicegerent of the seal (of prophethood) thus, the concealed (Shaykh Tijani), Oh Barham!

**53.** تَمَامُ الْفَتْحِ فِي الْمَهْدِ / بِفَضْلِ اللهِ بَرْهَامُ

_Tamamul fat’hi fil Mahdi / bi fadlillahi Barhamu_

Your sainthood has been completed from the infanthood by the favour of Allah, Oh Barham!

**54.** جَرِيءٌ كَاسِرُ الْجَبَّا / رِ وَالْفُسَّاقِ بَرْهَامُ

_Jari’un kasirul jabbari / wal fussaqi Barhamu_

You are a brave man (who) vanquished the tyrants and the boorish, Oh Barham!

**55.** أُرِيتَ الْآيَةَ الْكُبْرَى / رَسُولَ اللهِ بَرْهَامُ

_Urital Ayatal kubra / rasulallahi Barhamu_

You were shown the greater sign (i.e.) Apostle of Allah (SAW), Oh Barham!

**56.** نَفَتْ شَكًّا مَعَ الْأَسْوَا / وَمَنْ جَارَاكَ بَرْهَامُ

_Nafat shakka Maal As’wa / wa man jaraka Barhamu_

You confuted doubtness, otherness and those who compete with you, Oh Barham!

**57.** يَشُمُّ مِنْكَ مِنْ رِيحٍ / رِجَالُ الْغَيْبِ بَرْهَامُ

_Yashummu minka min rihin / rijalul gaibi Barhamu_

The hidden men of God also sniff from your spiritual fragrance, Oh Barham!

**58.** تَعَالَى اللهُ أَعْطَاكَ / بِذَا الْإِفْضَالِ بَرْهَامُ

_Ta’alallahu Aadaka / bizal ifdali Barhamu_

Allah, the Exalted, granted you that favour, Oh Barham!

**59.** أَبَى مَنْ كَانَ مَحْجُوبًا / عَنِيدَ الْحَقِّ بَرْهَامُ

_Aba man kana mahjuban / anidal haqqi Barhamu_

The one prevented from realizing the spiritual favour, and stout opponent of the truth, will disprove you, Oh Barham!

**60.** لَأَعْمَى يُنْكِرُ الشَّمْسَ / بِصَحْوِ الْجَوِّ بَرْهَامُ

_La’ama yunkirush shamsa / bisahwil jawwi Barhamu_

A blind person might deny the ray of sun that beams at unclouded sky, Oh Barham!

**61.** غَنِينَا فِي بِسَاطِ الْأُنْـ / ـسِ كُلَّ الْحِينِ بَرْهَامُ

_Ganina fi bisadil unsi / kullal hini Barhamu_

We achieve (spiritually) every now and then on the platform of your companionship, Oh Barham!

**62.** وَأَنْتَ الْعَنْبَرُ الْمِسْكُ / وَقُسْطًا النِّدَّ بَرْهَامُ

_Wa antal anbarul misku / wa qusdan niddi Barhamu_

You are (pleasant like) Ambergris, Musk and peerless Qust (i.e. pleasant perfumes/scents), Oh Barham!

**63.** ثَنَائِي الدَّهْرَ لَا يُوفِي / صِفَاتِ الْمَجْدِ بَرْهَامُ

_Sana’iddahra la yufi / sifatil majdi Barhamu_

My eulogy cannot envelope (your) glorious attributes, Oh Barham!

**64.** إِذَا مَا قِيلَ مَنْ لَيْلَاكَ / قُلْتُ الْغَوْثُ بَرْهَامُ

_Izama qila man lailaka / Qultul gausu Barhamu_

If they (people) ask me who is your beloved? I will say: the nuturer, Barham!

**65.** لَصِيتٌ مِنْكَ قَدْ عَمَّا / نَوَاحِي الْأَرْضِ بَرْهَامُ

_Lasitun minka qad Amma / Nawahil Ardi Barhamu_

Your excellent reputation has, indeed, prevailed on earth, Oh Barham!

**66.** فَأَهْلُ الْإِيلِيَا مِصْرًا / كَذَا بَغْدَادُ بَرْهَامُ

_Fa Ahlul Iliya misrin / kaza Bagdadu Barhamu_

The people of Misra (Egypt) as well as the (people) of Baghdad, Oh Barham!

**67.** رَأَوْكَ الشَّمْسَ مِنْ غَرْبٍ / تُضِيءُ الشَّرْقَ بَرْهَامُ

_Ra’aukash shamsa min garbin / Tudi’ush sharqa Barhamu_

..They saw you as the sun that emerged from occident, illuminating the orient, Oh Barham!

**68.** دَعَوْكَ لِلْمُنَاجَاتِ / لِسِرِّ الدِّينِ بَرْهَامُ

_Da’auka lil munajati / lisirriddini Barhamu_

They invited you for dialogues on crucial issues of Islam, Oh Barham!

**69.** أَجَبْتَ الرُّسْلَ بِالْوَعْدِ / عَلَى الْإِتْيَانِ بَرْهَامُ

_Ajabtar rusla bil waadi / alal ityani Barhamu_

You responded to the emissaries, by promising to come (for the dialogue), Oh Barham!

**70.** بَلَى وَفَّيْتَ بِالْعَهْدِ / لِجَبْرِ الدِّينِ بَرْهَامُ

_Bale waffaita bil ahdi / li jabriddini Barhamu_

Oh yes! You gleefully fulfilled the covenant of reforming the religion (Islam), Oh Barham!

**71.** وَقَدْ هَابُوكَ إِذْ جِئْتَ / مَهِيبَ اللَّيْثِ بَرْهَامُ

_Waqad habuka iz ji’ita / mahibal laisi Barhamu_

They (the people of the world) accorded respect for you, as they do behave themselves in the presence of a lion, Oh Barham!

**72.** أَجَالُوا الْفِكْرَ فِي فَهْمٍ / جَدِيدٍ مِنْكَ بَرْهَامُ

_Ajalul fikra fi fahmin / jadidin minka Barhamu_

They tried anew to understand your essence, Oh Barham!

**73.** سَهَوْا عَنْ فَهْمِهِمْ لَمَّا / أَمَمْتَ الصَّفَّ بَرْهَامُ

_Sahau an fahmihim lamma / Amamtassaffa Barhamu_

They (erudite scholars) over-sighted from their knowledge at (the time) you led the congregational prayer, Oh Barham!

**74.** حَنِينٌ كُلُّهُمْ عُشَّا / قُ فِي رُؤْيَاكَ بَرْهَامُ

_Haninun kulluhum ushshaqu / fi ru’uyaka Barhamu_

All of them (scholars) yearned and longed to see you, Oh Barham!

**75.** أَتَى الْأَعْلَامُ وَالْأَحْبَا / رُ وَالْعُبَّادُ بَرْهَامُ

_Atal Aalamu wal ahbaru / wal ubbadu Barhamu_

Personages, sages and ardent worshippers (of Allah) challenged you Barham!

**76.** قَطَعْتَ الْكُلَّ بِالسِّكِّيـ / ـنِ مِنْ بُرْهَانِ بَرْهَامُ

_Qada’atal kulla bissikkini / min burhani Barhamu_

You cut their argument short with knife of proof, Oh Barham!

**77.** أَتَوْا لِلْبَحْرِ بِالدَّلْوِ / وَمَاذَا الدَّلْوُ بَرْهَامُ

_Atau lil bahri biddalwi / wamazaddalwu Barhamu_

They came to the Sea (Niass) with their bucket, and what (quantity of water) could that bucket (fetch from that sea), Oh Barham!

**78.** لَجَلَّ الْأَمْرُ فَوْقَ الْعَقْـ / ـلِ وَالْأَفْكَارِ بَرْهَامُ

_Lajallal amru fauqal aqli / wal afkari Barhamu_

Verily, the matter is beyond the (human) reasoning and thoughts, Oh Barham!

**79.** أَقَمْتَ السُّنَّةَ الْغَرَّا / بُعَيْدَ الْمَيْلِ بَرْهَامُ

_Aqamtassunnatal garra / Bu’aidal maili Barhamu_

You invigorated the pristine sunnah after its declination, Oh Barham!

**80.** نِطَاقُ الْبِدْعَةِ انْحَلَّا / بِمَا شَمَّرْتَ بَرْهَامُ

_Nitaqul Bid’atin halla / bima shammarta Barhamu_

Belt of heretical innovation was unfastened by what you invigorated, Oh Barham!

**81.** يُنَاجِي الرَّبَّ مَنْ رَبَّيْـ / ـتَ كُلَّ الْحِينِ بَرْهَامُ

_Yunajir Rabba marrabbaita / kullal hini Barhamu_

Whoever you nurtured, will never cease in point of time making supplication to the Lord, Oh Barham!

**82.** إِذِ الْأَذْكَارُ كَالْأَنْفَا / سِ عِنْدَ الْفَيْضِ بَرْهَامُ

_Izil azkaru kal anfasi / indal faidi Barhamu_

In fact, adhkar (litanies) are like sustaining breath to the people of Faydah (Spiritual Flood), Oh Barham!

**83.** سَرَى طَيْفُ الْخَيَالِ مُذْ / أَتَى الْفَيْضَاتُ بَرْهَامُ

_Sara Daiful khayali muz / atal faidatu Barhamu_

Phantoms dispersed when the spiritual flood emerged, Oh Barham!

**84.** يَنَابِيعُ الْعُلُومِ مَعْـ / ـدِنُ الْأَسْرَارِ بَرْهَامُ

_Yanabi’ul ulumi maa / dinul Asrari Barhamu_

You are the source of exoteric and esoteric knowledge, Oh Barham!

**85.** لَأَنْتَ الْكِيمِيَا وَالْكَنْـ / ـزُ وَالْمِفْتَاحُ بَرْهَامُ

_La-anta l Kaymiyaa wal kan / zu wal miftaahu Barhamu_

You are the Alchemy, Treasure and Master key (to fortune), Oh Barham!

**86.** أَسَّسْتَ الْجَامِعَ الْأَعْلَى / عَلَى التَّقْوَى أَبَرْهَامُ

_Asastal jaami’a l a’alaa / ‘alaa l taqwaa A-barhamu_

You established an exalted central mosque on piety, Oh Barham!

**87.** يَنَالُ الْفَخْرَ إِفْرِيقِيـ / ـيُ مِنْ ذَا الْبَيْتِ بَرْهَامُ

_Yanaalu l fakhru ifreeqii / yu min dhaa l bayti Barhamu_

Africans attain pride in that very mosque, Oh Barham!

**88.** زَمَانُ الْغَوْثِ مَعْمُورُ الـ / ـزَّوَايَا فِيهِ بَرْهَامُ

_Zamaanu l ghawthu ma’amuuri z / zawaayaa fiihi Barhamu_

Epoch of the succour, recorded proliferation of zawayah (places for remembering God), Oh Barham!

**89.** أَتَى سَعْدُ السُّعُودِ مَا / سِحُ الدَّبَرَانِ بَرْهَامُ

_Ataa sa’adu s su’uudi maa / sihu dibraani Barhamu_

The star of fortune emerged to obliterate the star of misery, Oh Barham!

**90.** لَأَنْتَ الْمُفْرَدُ الْعَلَمُ / إِذَا نُودِيتَ بَرْهَامُ

_La-anta l mufradu l ‘alamu / idhaa nuudiitu Barhamu_

You are a unique eminent in terms of responding to (protege’s/murid’s) call of intervention, Oh Barham!

**91.** فَمِسْكِينٌ يُنَادِيكَ / نِدَاءَ الْفَرْدِ بَرْهَامُ

_Fa-miskeenu yunaadeeka / nidaa’a l fardi Barhamu_

Therefore, Miskin/Needy (The author [Shaykh Abdul-Qadir]) is shrieking upon you, a unique call, Oh Barham!

**92.** يَمُدُّ الْكَفَّ فِي فَقْرٍ / مَعَ الْحَاجَاتِ بَرْهَامُ

_Yumiddul kiffa fii faqrin / ma’a l haajaati Barhamu_

He (The Miskin) is stretching his hand of need (to you) with lots of aspiration, Oh Barham!

**93.** جِنَايَاتٌ لَهُ فَاتَتْ / يَدَ التَّعْدَادِ بَرْهَامُ

_Jinaayaati lahu faatat / yadaa ta’adaadi Barhamu_

His (the author’s) sins have gone exceedingly beyond the limits of enumeration, Oh Barham!

**94.** مَلَاذُ الْخَائِفِ الْغَوْثُ / غِيَاثُ الْخَلْقِ بَرْهَامُ

_Malaadhal khaa’ifi l ghawthu / giyaathu l khalqi Barhamu_

You are the shelter for the nervous, Oh the nuturer of the creatures Barham!

**95.** أُرَجِّي فِي خِلَالِ الْخَوْفِ / أَنْتَ التُّرْسُ بَرْهَامُ

_Urjii fii khalaali l khaw / fi anta tursu Barhamu_

My hope lies on you in the frightful period. For, you are a fortress, Oh Barham!

**96.** لِأَنِّي قَاصِرُ الْخَطْوِ / إِلَى الْخَيْرَاتِ بَرْهَامُ

_Li-anii qaasiru l khatwi / ilaa l khayraati Barhamu_

Because I am very weak in taking steps to good deeds, Oh Barham!

**97.** مَهَازِيلُ الْفِصَالِ مُحْـ / ـتَوَى الْأَضْيَافِ بَرْهَامُ

_Mahaazeelu l fisaali muh / tawaa l adyaafi Barhamu_

The day of judgment will be replete with creatures, Oh Barham!

**98.** وَمَا الرَّحْمَنُ بِالْمُخْرِي الـ / ـلَّذِي يَأْتِيكَ بَرْهَامُ

_Wa maa Rahmaanu bil mukhrii l / ladhii yaatiika Barhamu_

However, Ar-Rahman (Allah) will never disgrace whoever takes refuge in you, Oh Barham!

**99.** لَجَذْبٌ مِنْكَ إِنْ مَنِلْـ / ـتُ نِلْتُ الْأَمْنَ بَرْهَامُ

_La-jadhbu minka in maanil / tu niltu l amni Barhamu_

If I could attain ecstasy from you, hence I am secured, Oh Barham!

**100.** أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ يَا غَوْثِي / وَغَيْثِي الْقُطْبُ بَرْهَامُ

_Abaa is’haaqa Yaa Ghawthii / wa ghaythii l Qutbu Barhamu_

Father of Is’haq, Oh my succour! My fortune and (you are the) Qutb, Oh Barham!

**101.** هُمُومٌ قَدْ سَبَتْ قَلْبِي / لِفَقْدِ الزَّوْرِ بَرْهَامُ

_Humuumu qad sabat qalbii / li-faqdi zawri Barhamu_

Indeed, dismay has captured my heart, because of my inability to visit (Kawlakh), Oh Barham!

**102.** يَحُوزُ السَّعْدَ مَنْ زَارَ / بُيُوتَ الْغَوْثِ بَرْهَامُ

_Yahuuzu sa’ada man zaara / buyuuta l ghawthi Barhamu_

Whoever visits the abode of the succour, will attain fortune, Oh Barham!

**103.** هَدَانِي الْبَرْقُ فِي السِّنْغَا / لِ وَالْأَنْوَارِ بَرْهَامُ

_Hadaanii l barqu fii singhaa / li wa anwaari Barhamu_

The flash of your light guided through at Senegal, Oh Barham!

**104.** بُكِلُّ الطَّرْفِ مِنْ قُرْبٍ / عَنِ الْإِدْرَاكِ بَرْهَامُ

_Bukillu tarfu min qurbin / ‘ani l idraak Barhamu_

(However) the sight of your close observer is dimmed (by the flash) from realizing your essence, Oh Barham!

**105.** مُمِدُّ الْكَفِّ عَبْدُ الْقَا / دِرِ الْمِسْكِينُ بَرْهَامُ

_Mumiddu l kaffi ‘abdul-qaa / diri l miskeenu Barhamu_

The person who is seeking for your help is Abdul-Quadir Al-Miskin, Oh Barham!

**106.** إِذَا أَمْسَكْتَ بِالْأَيْدِي / شَفَيْتَ النَّفْسَ بَرْهَامُ

_Idhaa amsakta bil aydii / shafeetu nafsu Barhamu_

If you take my hand, I am gleefully contented, Oh Barham!

**107.** لَأَنْتَ الْمُنْقِذُ الْجَانِي / بُعَيْدَ الْيَأْسِ بَرْهَامُ

_La-anta l munqidhu l jaanii / bu’ayda l yaasi Barhamu_

You are the rescuer of a despondent culprit, Oh Barham!

**108.** حَرِيمٌ مِنْكَ كَافِيهِ / مَدَى الْأَزْمَانِ بَرْهَامُ

_Hareemun minka kaafiihi / madaa l azmaani Barhamu_

Your protection is sufficient for him forever, Oh Barham!

**109.** مُرَادٌ مِنْكَ رِضْوَانٌ / مَعَ الْإِمْدَادِ بَرْهَامُ

_Muraadu minka ridwaanun / ma’a l imdaadi Barhamu_

My desire in you, is to attain your satisfaction and providence, Oh Barham!

**110.** دَرَى الْأَقْوَامُ مَا بِي مِنْ / عَدِيمِ الذَّوْقِ بَرْهَامُ

_Daraa l aqwaamu maabii min / ‘adeemi dhuuqi Barhamu_

People know that I am a novice in Gnosis, Oh Barham!

**111.** لِأَنَّ الْأَمْرَ فِي الْقَصْدِيرِ / وَالْإِيرَادِ بَرْهَامُ

_Li-anna l amru fii l qasdeeri / wa l-iiraadi Barhamu_

Because the will (of Allah) is realized between its mandate and accomplishment, Oh Barham!

**112.** لَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ أُمَّ الْخَيْـ / ـرِ وَابْنُ الرُّوحِ بَرْهَامُ

_Laqad qadamtu ummu l khay / ri wab’nu ruuhi Barhamu_

I intercede with you on behalf of Ummu l Khayr and the spiritual son, Oh Barham!

**113.** إِلَيْكُمْ سُلَّمًا وَالْحَا / جِ سِيسًا عَالِ بَرْهَامُ

_Ilaykum sulumaan wal haa / ji siisaan ‘aali Barhamu_

Also, on behalf of the grand Al-Hajj (Ali) Cisse, Oh Barham!

**114.** هَدَانَا اللهُ بِالْغَوْثِ / صِرَاطَ الْحَقِّ بَرْهَامُ

_Hadaanaa-llahi bil-ghawthi / siraata l haqqi Barhamu_

May Allah guide us by (virtue of) the Ghawth (Niass) to the true path, Oh Barham!

**115.** تَمَامُ النَّظْمِ فِي عَوْنٍ / وَحَمْدِ اللهِ بَرْهَامُ

_Tamaamu nazmi fii awnin / wa hamdi-llahi Barhaamu_

The eulogy comes to the end by Allah’s assistance and praise be to Allah, Oh Barham!

**116.** وَصَلَّى اللهُ مَا دَامَتْ / صِفَاتُ الذَّاتِ بَرْهَامُ

_Wa salaa-llahu maa daamat / Sifaatu Dhaati Barhaamu_

And may Allah’s blessing in as far as attributes of Allah exists….

**117.** عَلَى أَصْلِ الْأُصُولِ مِنْ / بَنِي عَدْنَانَ بَرْهَامُ

_alaa Asli-l Usuuli min / banii ‘adnaani Barhaamu_

…be upon the Source of the Creation (who hails) from lineage of Adnan, Oh Bar’ham!

**118.** مَعَ الْأَصْحَابِ وَالْآلِ / كَذَا الْأَتْبَاعُ بَرْهَامُ

_Ma’a-l as’haabi wa-l Aali / Kadhaa-l atbaa’hu Barhaamu_

And (that blessing) should include his companions, households and his adherents, Oh Barham!

**119.** عَنِ الْمَكْتُومِ مِنْ رِضْوَا / نِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ بَرْهَامُ

_‘Ani-l Maqtuumi min Ridwaa / ni Rabbu-l ‘Arshi Barhaamu_

May Lord of Al-Arsh (the throne) be pleased with the ‘concealed’ (Shaykh Ahmad Tijani), Oh Barham!

**120.** كَذَا الْأَصْحَابُ مِنْ قَافٍ / إِلَى قَافَاتِ بَرْهَامُ

_Kadhaa-l as’haabi min qaafin / ilaa qaafaati Barhaamu_

As well as (Tijani’s) disciples, from generation to generations, Oh Barham!

**121.** كَذَا سَادَاتُنَا كُلًّا / مَعَ الْأَشْيَاخِ بَرْهَامُ

_Kadhaa saadaatunaa kullaan / ma’a-l Ashyaakhi Barhaamu_

As well as all our predecessors, and our preceptors, Oh Barham!

**122.** مَفَاعِيلُنْ مَفَاعِيلُنْ / هَزَجْتُ الشِّعْرَ بَرْهَامُ

_Mafaa’iilun Mafaa’iilun / Hazajta-shi’iri Barhaamu_
